It started out as a "lol this is the perfect dating sim" idea, then sort of merged with the fact that everyone that gets together in camp movies dies by the hands of an iconic movie slasher. Figuring out how to make a game about slashers without really making it a game about flat-out murder was tough, so we sort of went in a Cabin in the Woods angle with it.
