Whats new in SteamWorld Quest 2.0?

Completing the story now unlocks New Game Plus, allowing the game to be replayed from the beginning with most non-story progress retained (cards, items and more). Youll need to unlock the characters again, but once youve done that youll have access to their respective cards from your previous playthrough. For those of you wanting to up the challenge, a new difficulty setting, Legend Remix, will keep you on your toes once youve beaten the game and crave more. Its not only more difficult but throws in a fair amount of gameplay twists of its own. This is only available in New Game Plus. Theres also a new art gallery with lots of previously unseen concept art and illustrations and a jukebox for those wanting to chill out to the beautiful soundtrack (out now on Spotify, Apple Music/iTunes and more)!

Other game improvements include:

• Added support for HD Rumble on Nintendo Switch
• Increased stock on consumable items available in the merchant wagon.
• Reduced entry requirements for the Midas Grand Prix colosseum tournament.
• Balancing tweaks to numerous cards and items as well as smaller bug fixes.

Howdy! Today we released a small patch with the following fix:

• Fixed a bug that made enemy attacks deal the same amount of damage regardless of the player's chosen difficulty level.

The game balance is now back to its intended values and is identical to the Switch version in that regard. From a gameplay standpoint, enemies now deal less damage on Squire and more damage on Legend. Knight remains unchanged. If you want to change the gameplay difficulty you free to do so at almost any time from the settings menu. Enjoy! <3

Yesterday, we released a small patch with the following fixes:

• Fixed a crash bug when attempting to view details about a consumable in battle.
• The "Bound and Determined" achievement should now be possible to attain. If you've already met the requirements, simply loading your save should grant you the achievement.

Happy news!

The widely reQuested SteamWorld Quest Soundtrack is out now on Bandcamp and here on Steam (as DLC). Compared to what youll find in the game, these songs are completely remastered and sound better than ever. Its a real treat for your ears!
Have a listen to it on Bandcamp and, if you like what you hear, please consider purchasing the album (or individual tracks) in order to support the studio. The album features 36 beautiful tracks from three multi-talented composers and a bunch of awesome musicians. Weve never had so many acoustic instruments on a SteamWorld soundtrack before. As a bonus, youll find two unreleased variations on the main theme that you might recognize from the SteamWorld Quest trailers. This is the first time theyre available for anyone to listen to without in-game sound effects.

Is it coming to Spotify and iTunes/Apple Music?

Yes! It might just take us a little while longer to figure everything out. We hope to release all previous SteamWorld soundtracks there as well. Stay tuned!

Will there be a physical CD or vinyl record?

Simple answer: Wed love to! We released fabulous vinyl records for Dig 1+2 and it would be really nice to have a matching record for Quest. Again, stay tuned!

Can I download the amazing album art somewhere?

Yes, up above! Its a hand-painted homage to some of our favorite game soundtracks (can you guess which ones?). The artist is none other than Agnes Mikucka, the SteamWorld Quest art director. The cover really captures the personalities of the main characters, dont you think?
