Prototype Demo + Kickstarter in Spring 2021
Heres a new update from us. The "Covid crater" coined previously is sadly still taking up space, but it wont stop us from launching our new prototype demo, cinematic trailer and Kickstarter campaign in Spring 2021!
Were continuing to survive doing work for hire and supporting other game projects. We helped Might and Delight with programming for Book of Travels, a TMO (Tiny Online Multiplayer) that PC Gamer wrote: It could change the way we think about MMOs.. We're still working remotely. Weve taken on art interns and a new part time community manager. The team is continuing to work on the release for you! It may be a bit slower than we imagined but its happening.
Do you remember the storyboard video prototype we shared in October this year? Were breathing life into these cinematic environments and beautiful sweeping shots. Our trailer will not only feature in our new prototype demo, but on socials and in our kickstarter. We hope you enjoy the mockups (and rabbits) as much as we do!
Alongside our cool looking VTOL aircraft we have come up with something we call an "EMP Torus" which is meant to be a peaceful deterrent in this world. Wars and conflicts exist in this future too, but we might just have found a way to deal with them more smartly, more peacefully. Above you can see our idea about "anti-weapon weapons", or a super huge EMP device run on renewable energy.
Stories are a bit like roads Some go to dark places, happy places, others wind through heaven and hell. Among Ripples is one of those stories. Cyberpunk is a dystopian genre showing us roads we as societies shouldnt take. Utopia or Hopepunk depicts the paths we need to take to achieve happiness on Earth. A friend once said its like a society's collective dreams and nightmares. And what happens between those states are the waking moments when were conscious. We may be pessimistic sometimes, the struggles we face to obtain sustainable living feels almost impossible. Do we have a future? Thats what were imagining in Among Ripples: Shallow Waters. Utopia feels alien and a dystopia too close to home. So were calling it Crabpunk; a future far from perfect, but one I can imagine us working towards. As we said before, publishers have been interested but a few people in the game industry are on the fence. Some people think environment and ecology is too niche. But we know its not, and with your support, we're going to make it! Let's crab it!

Whats been happening?

Welcome to Among Ripples 2, an eco tycoon sim focused on maintaining balance in lakes and rivers. The water bodies are filled with different creatures that needs your help. In the game you focus on saving nature from different hazards and problems. Our game is inspired by ecology and the people who spend time and effort to solve the problems we face today.

Key Features
- Create your own ecosystem, balance predators and prey and make the environment livable.
- Nurture and tend to creatures, understand their needs and comforts. Watch how they interact with the world you create for them.
- Shape your world, by raising and lowering land, expanding the lake.
- The game adapts to your skill level and creates a meditative flow for inexperienced and experienced players alike. You will also be able to tweak your challenge.
- Immerse yourself in a single-player campaign where you lead a couple of scientists. Build your mobile research base, research tech trees and ask your companions for advice.

Setting
Among Ripples 2 is set in Sweden where you save lakes and rivers. From the breathtaking northern fell landscapes to agricultural farmland in the south; you will save them all. You are the leader for a group of scientists who have been chosen to rehabilitate lakes and rivers that have been damaged. The game is about finding hope to solve one of the biggest challenges of our time.Work in Progress
