Hi everyone! At long last Vengeful Heart is out! It's been almost 2 years, since Elmo and I began crafting this visual novel and we are very proud! It's 00:00 am here in Finland, so I'm very tired, but I wanted to get this announcement in time when the game releases. I even took a day off from work to be able to focus ton press releases today. Hi everyone, I recently learned that last year Apple released an update on Macs that prevents their machines from running applications that Apple has not notarized. To notarize your app for Mac you need to go through a complex process of becoming an apple developer and paying 100$/month for an Apple developer account. I did not realize this as this was not a thing when we released our demo last year. Getting Vengeful Heart notarized for MacOS will likely take some time, as such the launch version of VH for Macs will NOT be notarized. If you have a mac and want to play our game, you can still do so, but it will require some extra steps on your part. You need to set up your Mac to allow it to run unnotarized apps. Steam might not allow me to offer the unnotarized version so you probably need to wait or seek other means to play this visual novel. Frankly I am not a fan of Apple's closed system and their insistence that every developer owns their machines if they want to develop games for Apple machines. After notarizing Vengeful Heart, Salmon Snake will release all future apps unnotarized. It's just not worth it for a small dev to go through all the hassle and and payments, when the sales on Mac will likely not even cover the cost of joining the apple developer program. This means that after Vengeful Heart no mac versions can be found on Steam, since Steam requires games to comply to Apples demands on this. This will ONLY affect the mac version of Vengeful Heart. Apologies for the wait. We had all kinds of complications which is why this demo is a month late. Now you finally get to enjoy it on Steam too! The demo contains first 2 chapters of the story that set the events in motion. The full game will be out later this year or at the latest very early next year. We hope you enjoy the demo!

There isn’t much left to buy. As of this year, all the hospitals in the city have been privatized, as are 89% of all apartments, the transit network, the police force and of course, the water. For all intents and purposes, the only part of the city the city hall controls, is the city hall building itself and even there the private sector provides security.
For the most part the transition has been peaceful and individual protests have died out quickly or been effectively countered by friendly news networks. The amount of violence has been entirely acceptable.
However, resistance cells dedicated explicitly to halting corporate plans have formed. The leaders for the most significant one are listed below.

It is the belief of the board that, if not dealt with, this group could pose a serious problem to most if not all the various private industries and their extensive control over public affairs. So far the group has been targeting the water industry, attacking profits by stealing water and redistributing it to the lower classes. The security industry and the hospital industry have agreed with us that all three must be eliminated for the greater good.
Considering the recent violent incident that left n. 1 hospitalized, n. 2 homeless and both hell bent on revenge, the board advices that discretion and efficiency be the key words to any future steps to remove this threat.
