This visual novel continues from where Welcome To... Chichester 2 - Part I left off, but you don't need to have played the previous version in order to follow the story.
The Story
Taking place on the second day of your holiday, you arrive in the hotel restaurant nursing a nasty headache, which is not helped by the presence of your nemesis - the megalomaniacal, kleptomaniac and cake mix loving Grendel Jinx. Whilst waiting for breakfast to be served, you both start reminiscing about how you both met.
Inevitably, the conversation veers onto a period in which your budding "friendship" was nearly permanently severed.
Suffering a string of defeats by the handle of Grendel following by an unauthorised beating by her bodyguards, you spend your time in hospital realising that there must be a mole in The Phoenix Custodians, and you set your secretary onto the task of finding out who it is.
Meanwhile, Grendel gets news that her bodyguards have been killed, and with all evidence pointing to you, she sets out for revenge.
Young Grendel Jinx
Pupil of The Council Of The Unseen School For Gifted World Rulers, she is generally shunned amongst her peers due to her status and position within her organisation.

Older Grendel Jinx
Still keeping quiet about why your holiday plans were diverted

A few new graphics added. I intend this to be the very last update, unless anything major crops up
- Fixed silhouette that was missed previously
- Grendel's classmates are now named.
- Fix some graphical issues with silhouettes
- Fix some rollback issues (where rolling forward positioned a character incorrectly).
This should be the last update needed, unless anything untoward is found
- Make in-game text box darker
- Fix various graphical issues with rolling forward
- Added in full stops now!
Update in-game text window graphic, and fix a few display errors
The cheat code has been changed to : Itpaystocheat
This update has :
- Redesigned title screen
- Added three new character graphics
- Made sure some scenes bring back the in-game GUI
- Odd position for some characters should be fixed
The Lomonosov Ridge epilogue has a new animated background. In addition, the in-game GUI has been upgrade

Updated in the ingame GUI, and removed a lot of the chapter headings. These are now displayed over the background (as per later games).
One CG has also been added during the "Bad" ending (as that's the conical route), and to give a little nod towards No Extra Regrets

No Regrets is on discount for a limited time !
This game will be on sale on the 24th June for several days !
There was a slight continuity error with the second epilogue - going by the previous date, that would have happened before the event it refers to ever took place.
This visual novel has now been recompiled with the latest version of Ren'Py, with the Windows version being split into 32 and 64 parts, whilst the Linux and Mac versions have minimum operating system versions increased. Hopefully, these changes won't affect too many people, but let me know if they do.
The main reason for this update was to change how choices and the in-game GUI look, to bring it up to date with how NightFall will look
The last update for No Regrets now includes the DLC in the main program.
Note : If you already have the DLC installed, you will need to untick the DLC item in Properties -> DLC in order to make the updated program work properly. For some reason the newer version won't automatically be downloaded.
Because anything beats a standard harem based snore-fest.
And mine has a cute megalomaniacal and egotistical girl in it !
In about a month or so, there will be one last, small update for No Regrets.
This will add a few things that are in NightFall : Achievement information on the title screen and an updated gender selection screen too.
There will be one other important change that will affect everyone (although it is intended for new players) : On the first run, all achievements will be wiped. This is due to the ongoing achievement system not working properly straight away, and it's been found that clearing and then syncing fixes the problem (whatever it is).
After a year or so of development, No Regrets For The Future is finally released.
The second part of a trilogy, this episode explores the relationship between Grendel Jinx and the protagonist, all the while avoiding the many pitfalls of their positions along the way.
This update fixes :
- Character missing on one route
- A couple of bad endings now have graphics (and music)
- Updated the older Grendel graphics
This should be the penultimate update before release, barring anything major.
I do have one sound effect to add, and hopefully Grendel's adult manga, after which everything should be complete.
Release date for the end of June won't need to be changed.
This will probably the first of three graphic updates, in addition to the editing that's (badly) needed...
This update has graphics for Emily's handcuffs and Grendel's knife mainly.
Next will be knife slashes and if I'm not being mucked around, it'll be Grendel's manga
Aside from fixing a few mysteriously added spelling errors in the Preview section, this update mainly upgrades the Grendel fight near the beginning of the game.
The protagonists' name is displayed correctly in the health bar line. What happens if you don't do anything is now more in line with WTC 1 now : Missing the "defence" section will now increase Grendel's attack strength. Whenever it's her turn to attack, if her attack strength is sufficiently high enough, she will launch a super attack.
The initial timer now starts at one second lower than previously too
This update is the first of (probably) quite a few updates to No Regrets before the release at the end of June.
All the required backgrounds are now in. All of the music and most of the sound effects are in as well.
The story has also been expanded in various areas to give a bit more background to the protagonist penchant for rules and regulations and Grendel's desire to recruit the protagonist.
The manga section near the end of the game needs to be done, which will hopefully be of the adult variety. A few other graphics need to be added as well.
Two new bad endings have been added, as well as a short preview

A new bad ending has been added as well a "meh" ending (achievements for these need to be done).
I'm hoping to have No Regrets released by no later than June 30th (but hopefully a bit before). Only a small amount of graphics and some sound effects are left now.
This is the last update before release, and fixes :
- Background graphics near the beginning of the story
- Fixed a crash when escaping from the abandoned building
- Added a few sound effects, fixed a few grammatical errors and so on
There are three backgrounds to go now, one character and possible a few other graphics.
All in all, it shouldn't be far off my original release date
The first update of the year, and the penultimate one before coming out Early Access - I'm hoping the last update for being in Early Access will be at the end of February/early March.
This update contains :
- Fix for crash at start of the final fight
- "Visual novel only" mode or "Visual novel plus fight sequences". This allows players to just read the story if they don't like the fight sections. Choosing the "visual novel only" mode does limit the available endings
- New character and background graphics added
- Fixed some grammatical errors
There are now two characters to go and around ten backgrounds along with sound effects. I'm hoping to get everything done by the end of March for testing in April, and the chances are good that it's on schedule.

In other news, WTC 1 will be updated hopefully later in the year (with mainly addition graphics for the Idiot's Guide DLC) along with a story update.
WTC 2 - Part III : NightFall's main story is edging towards being finished, after which all the secret scenes (which will be only available after completing the game once) will be added. These scenes will add a lot more to the story.
Once that is completed, I'll probably then start writing the last OVN, with the aim of getting both of these out by the end of the near, leaving 2021 to update the last episode of this series.
NightFall may be put into Early Access again - it certainly seemed to work out okay with No Regrets.
This is the last update for the year, and adds character graphics for two people.
The remaining three remaining character graphics will resume next year, along with all the backgrounds. Hopefully, it will all be done by the end of April.
In other news :
Around 80% of the main story for WTC 2/3 : NIghtFall has been coded. There is one and a half complete sections needed to go, and then the "secret stories" need to be added.
Fortunately not many new backgrounds or characters need to be added for this, so I hope to get it out well before the end of 2020. Some backgrounds for this are shared with WTC 3, which is pretty handy.
Finally, one last OVN will probably be written. This too will share graphics with WTC 3, and may not need much in the way of original backgrounds.
Finally, once these three have been released, I'll start upgrading WTC 3. The story will certainly need updating, along with gender-specific dialogue.
So, thanks for playing the WTC series (or at least trying the demo), and a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year !
If you have any queries or suggestions, don't be afraid of making a post in the forums
This update adds the following :
- Some more backgrounds (around 18 left now)
- Added character graphics
- Slight story addition (Prologue Part 2 and Chapter 6)
- Started to add silhouettes for minor characters with speaking parts. These will change later on as they are either obvious on whom they are based on or rather weird
The following is now left to :
- Small amount of sound effects
- Four characters (I'm hoping I can get two done before the end of the year)
- Backgrounds : Tower gangway x2, base and possibly shaft; Jinx's kitchen x2; alleyway x2 ; desert; protagonist's sitting room x5; Unseen's building x3 (one is actually only for Part III, but best to get it done at the same time) and Grendel's hole
I think it should be pretty much on course for late April release or at the worst May/June
This is a pretty large penultimate update for the year, with the last being towards the end of November. Updates will resume from January 2020, and with any luck there won't be that much to do in the graphic line next year.
This update consists of :
- Male text checked (thanks to Foxxelle)
- Added character graphics for two people (around 5 to go)
- Added a couple of backgrounds (around 9/10 to go now)
- Added sound effects
- Added a slight bit of new dialogue to Prologue - Part 1
- Some new music added as well
The next update should be out by the end of October and will have the final batch of editing done, some new backgrounds, graphics for two characters and some new dialogue.
I may do another before the end of the year, but it won't be a big one.
The game is on track to be released at the end of Q1 2010 (so around April or June if I'm unlucky).
Managed to miss one set of language errors, so that has been fixed now.
In addition, the prototype for the character selection screen is now in (so the characters and graphics currently used will be changed).
I was made aware that one character wasn't introduced properly - so that's been fixed.
In addition, there was no result for something that Grendel does early-ish in the game. That's been sorted too !
This is a fairly big update.
In addition to the text of one gender being completed, this version now incorporates extra accessibility options for those who have trouble reading.
This means that there are now two fonts available (the standard DejaVu Sans and Open Dyslexic). Textbox transparency, text spacing, line spacing and text size can now be changed too.
Note that these options only affect dialogue and chapter names - menu choices, intro/outro/title sequence videos aren't affected by these options, along with the main menu.
These options will be filtered through to WTC 2 - Part 1, WTC OVN and WTC 0 (the test project) to start with
WTC 1 and WTC 3 will be updated later (WTC 3 also needs a gender-specific update too, but that's another story).
The story is now finalised and won't be changed, unless any unwanted continuity problems are found.
Next will be protagonist graphics and hopefully a few backgrounds. Protagonist graphics will be added into WTC 2/1, OVN, test program first
Various updates including adding sound effects, various dialogue changes and making sure gender is correct
Fixed program crashing during one of the bad endings at the hospital. Added mobile breaking sfx and slightly modified the dialogue
The gender selection screen has been changed, and will be updated again when I get the protagonists graphics done.
In addition to that, Prologue #2 text has been slightly changed and one multiple choice section is no longer dependent on picking an option and hoping for the best !
This update adds animation to a few places that I forgot about and removes some superfluous words.
With this update, the story has been expanded (especially after the first major fight), to take into account gender selection, as well as being updated.
There may be a few places left where gender is wrong, but they will be sorted later on.
A Mac version is now included as well.
Three new bad endings have been added (and may be expanded on later).
The "difficulty" of the initial boss fight is now dependant on the protagonist's gender.
In addition to that the result of the fight is now expanded and is currently being tested
Various things have been updated :
- There is now a gender selection option - dialogue will, of course, change depending on which gender you select. At the moment, only a little bit has been started. This will filter (to various degrees) through the other episodes
- Graphics for Grendel's mother and William added
- Changed the Epilogue 2 dialogue a bit
- Grendel's Super Attack graphic should now display
Amendment to a Flashback sequence - rather more detailed now.
This is the initial release.
Many backgrounds and characters are missing, but the story is complete, with only a few minor changes expected in the future.
