In order to give more people the opportunity to enjoy Elsinore, we are lowering the price of the game to $10. With other time loop games coming out, it's a great time to make it easier for people to try ours. Thanks for all of you who have supported us so far!

When you purchase Elsinore in the Summer Sale, 100% of the profits will go to Gameheads, a game dev & tech training program for low-income youth and youth of color. Systemic racism is a battle we all need to fight. Black lives matter, and inaction is complicity. To that end, we as teammates have been having a lot of hard conversations of our own over last monthabout how we can do more to elevate and support Black and other marginalized voices in the game industry, and about how we can use our own privilege to build a better world. Several of us have been involved with youth education and training initiatives in the past, so when we learned about Gameheads, we were excited to find a way to support them. Gameheads' mission is to train future game devs of color, and they partner with working game developers to mentor students through their programs. This year, every sale from Elsinore over the Steam Summer Sale is going to support Gameheads' upcoming programs. We're also running our biggest discount on Elsinore yet, 50% off, to help make your decision to support even easier. You can check out Gameheads and their mission here if you'd like to contribute further. We also would like to highlight these organizations and fundraisers that support Black devs who are working in the industry now: Game Devs of Color Expo I Need Diverse Games The Galaxy Fund With love, The Elsinore Team

A major aspect of Elsinore is changing. Warning: mild spoilers ahead! Many of you have played and supported the game in the last 10 months, and we're enormously grateful to you all. Throughout that time, one piece of feedback has remained consistent: players don't love the way our ending system works. This is us acknowledging that we hear you, and today we're releasing a new update to Elsinore which will allow you to continue playing after choosing an ending without your save file being destroyed. Why? When we set out to build Elsinore's final act, we knew that we wanted to capture the feeling that no matter what fate Ophelia chose for Elsinore, it was the final choice she would make. We believed most players would want to put down the game at that point and move on, so the save deletion was just our way of trying to reinforce "you can move on now." To our surprise (and, honestly, a bit of delight), many of you have reported that you took your ending choices quite seriously, but still wanted to see more. To peek at what might have been. It's clear that our original structure wasn't hitting our thematic goals for a large number of players. At the same time, we didn't want to abandon the notion that "endings are important decisions" entirely-- and we hope we've managed to accomplish that. We hope that this new ending flow offers you the opportunity to do that, in its own peculiar way. -- Other Improvements We've also made some additional improvements and bugfixes to the game. Additions: - Added ability to fast-foward through credits. - Clarified directions near the end of one lead (Irma's Ire). - Added new expressions and VO to some scenes. Fixes: - Prevented a softlock happening in the docks due to a missing scene. - Fixed various visual bugs in the UI with character portraits. - Fixed various scene logic bugs. - Adjusted a few scenes so they couldn't happen at weird/inappropriate times.

- Elsinore Linux [1.03 G]
Elsinore is a time-looping adventure game set in the world of Shakespeare's Hamlet. Elsinore combines strong social simulation elements, a dynamic story that reacts immediately to player decisions, and a world full of diverse characters with secrets to uncover. Can Ophelia prevent the tragedy that lies before her?
Gameplay
Elsinore is a point-and-click adventure game set in a living world where the story plays out around you in real time. Every four days, time resets, and you gain another chance to change the fate of the inhabitants within Elsinore Castle.
Dynamic Story Engine: Elsinore uses a story simulation engine to determine which events occur based upon your interactions. Lie, forgive, gossip, befriend, or destroy — the actions you can take at any stage are numerous, and the game immediately responds.
Intelligent Character Behavior: Each character manages their own lives, schedules, needs, desires, and plans over the course of each time loop. Even the smallest interaction has an impact on the world around you as it unfolds.
Learn from Previous Loops: Whenever a time loop resets, Ophelia remembers anything she has learned from the previous world, allowing you to access new ways to play.
Use Your Influence: Understanding each character's motivations isn't just part of the story. It's necessary for Ophelia's survival. Characters are complex and have long histories with each other; all of them are keeping secrets.
Life-or-Death Decisions: In a Shakespearean world, most roads end in tragedy, and characters are quick to meet a grisly fate. Hard decisions and terrible trials force players to think on their feet.
