Bugs corrections :


  • Added security to "action-time" which could become negative and made a bug where the acrycine purifier couldn't be used anymore. Now, even with all researches and all glove upgrades, the action time cannot become negative. Thanks to Shawn (again) for finding this major bug
  • Graphical options are now saved everytime the player exits the options. It does not solve all problems related to loading graphical options, but it's a beginning.
  • Debug posters that could be null in cabin. There already was a security for this so it didn't broke anything, but now there shouldn't be any more null poster in the game.
  • Added even more debug messages to help find bugs in the future.

  • The researches "Positive thinking" 1 & 2 don't require the object "salad oil" anymore, which you can not find in any container (thanks again nor7hy5)
  • Removed a bug where temperature was not calculated correctly if you had an advanced research "Cooler Potency"
  • Removed a bug where the event "Data corruption" could indeed corrupt a save file by removing process from an already finished research. An event name has never been so real! ((thanks to...you guessed it...nor7hy5)
  • Multiple "stuck zones" have been modified to avoid player being stuck. Most of them were found by nor7hy5
  • The roof of R59-Communication Room has been remade in order to avoid a graphic glitch.
  • The restart can now be returned from by using the cancel (espace) key without bugging the interface.

Additions :


  • There are 2 new panels in R54-Communication Room : you now have a summary of all fires and all hull-breaches of the ship. Good place to look at when you don't know where to start a busy day! These panels will not show up in hardcore mode!

Improvements :

  • The temperature console has been improved. There are a lot of informations you can gather by understanding what is displayed on the upper console.
  • The pressure console has been improved too! Hint : for humans, 1013 hPa is the perfect atmosphere pressure.
  • The saves files format has changed from ".hull" to ".die". The switch will be completely invisible for players.

Bug fixes :

  • Reactivated the main menu "UI activate" sounds which were missing.
  • Fixed some interface buttons had wrong text color when switching from menu to menu in some panels.

Following the difficulty update, now we offer you a new ending.

Improvements :


  • The endgame "crash" is now fully functional.
  • 2 new leaderboards (1 hardcore and 1 easy) for the crash ending. These leaderboards are in reverse order of time of survival, meaning the longer you take to crash the lower your rank will be. It will also automatically submit to the "regular" leaderboard just in case.
  • "Development build" is now off on LINUX version (and hopefully it's stable).


Additions :

  • Added an informative message when a player dies because health reach zero. The new message displayed on the death screen now reveals the probable cause(s) of the death.


Bug Fixes :

  • The Save/Load system shoud no longer hang indefinetly, preventing the player to make another save and/or crashing at load.

  • Windows demo (free!) is now completely up-to-date (you still can't save or submit any score since it's the only "DRM"). Obviously, the Linux/SteamOS demo is also up-to-date.


You can now DIE on every platform available on Steam.
This is still an "open beta" state for Linux/SteamOS because we lack of testers.

Bug Fixes :


  • The Filter Mask could interact weirdly with breaches and make the player breath out acrycine, making the room full of it in a few seconds. This is obviously no longer the case.
  • The loading panel now displays the correct integrity for each profile (it was displaying the lowest for every profile).
  • When sprinting, you should no longer be able to reset the timer of the overweight wounds that can randomly apply.
  • There was a default in the loading system making the player loose a few frames of action every time a game was loaded. This is no longer the case.


This update is still not available for demo and for mac users.

Additions :


  • New "easy" mode. In fact, this mode is now considered normal whereas the "old" saves and profiles are now displayed as "hardcore". This new mode has a separate leaderboard. This mode has a lot of small changes to make your survival easier, but the main one is the addition of the brand new "Dynamic maps system" (Copyright SecSystem)
  • New "Dynamic maps system"! You can now see all discovered rooms being displayed on the maps placed on the walls of the different floors. So you no longer have any excuse to not remember where this damn Repair Room is!
  • New leaderboard to make the distinction between the hardcore and "easy" mode.


Improvements :

  • NVidia users now have a small optimization for displaying massive fires FX.
  • The display of acrycine clouds is now capped so this should also relieve the graphics card a little.
  • The texture of the heat effect is now 4 times bigger, and against all odds it's also easier for the graphic cards to loop it.


Bug Fixes :

  • Wounds and diseases who are not supposed to be able to evolve 2 stages in a single night are now strictly forbidden to do so (yes it was possible, if you had a very bad luck, to have a chain reaction between diseases making them crippling/deadly in a very short time).
  • The loading of objects in rooms has been made so that now, when you load a saved game, it is impossible to restore a consumed object.
  • Interface in the loading panel should no longer turn pink when a load error occured.
  • All saves are now scanned when loading the loading panel, so a corrupted save can no longer slip through the cracks.
  • The voices can no longer slow down during the fade-in of the night.
  • Clean and refactor a lot of code. Also removed some old useless relics. May or may not improve the performances, but cannot hurt.

Bug Fixes :

  • Death statistics should now display the correct values (some players saw 0 broken objects, fire and breaches whatever the reality was).
  • Fixed the issue misplacing the player (under the ground) on the first launch of the game (very hard to reproduce, but now seems to have dissapeared)
  • The load panel could crash and never load anymore correctly. This is now impossible, the load panel should always work as intended and be pretty.
  • Removed the redirection to website when clicking on the version number in the main menu. It will be restored as soon as the website is online again.
  • Fixed description of research SimiliMetal (R28) : it said "plastic" instead of "metal".

Others :

  • Numerous improvements in tools needed for development, mostly by updating to the new Unity version (no change in game except maybe some minor CPU optimizations)
  • Successfully finished to "branch out" the VR version, so it's now synchronized with the "Standalone branch" and vice-versa. Meaning I can work on either version, the changes made will be available for both (unless I decide not to).


No, it's not the VR version that is released today. The version released today contains (among other things) all the improvements uneeded for VR version but that was made anyway on it. The VR version is still alive in our dreams, and so it will obviously become real one day!
Also, big sorry to the mac users, but they will have to wait a little more before this update is available on macOs.

News about VR

Good evening dear players,

May we have your attention please: we are NOT using the general euphoria generated by the French victory this evening by writing this announcement in order to inform you that we are going to launch the VR version of DIE very, very soon.

We just wanted to reinsure you, and to tell that despite a recent loss of adequate sleep time and few data, and a long and insecure walk on the way of meeting willing independent workers at low fees to cover those accidents... it should remains the time of a few monthes.

As we have told in private that we wish, to a few members of the community, that this game would imperatively be released during the year in which France has won, twenty years further, for the second time, the Football World Cup.
This has a very important meaning for us.

Our three next greatest ambitions being :

1) VR version compatible with all headsets on the market
2) A new game mode : "Exploration", in which you can play without ever dying, so players can try things and VR players can just enjoy visiting the ship.
3) Debug, debug, debug and a little more bugs.

We will never DIE!

Mac OS available



Mac OS version is now available

It will automatically be the version you download if you are running Steam on a mac.

We hope it will please the 1 person who has already bought it on mac, and that a lot of others will come join his/her side in the difficult struggle of surviving (no, this is not a multiplayer announcement, just a figure of speech).

Since the beta testing has not been done on a wide variety of mac (in fact just two different ones, a recent and an old) it can still contain bugs we didn't catched. So for the next month (until 17/02/2017) if you are the first to report a bug on the dedicated forum (here) and we succeed to find and solve it, we will offer you a free key of Drift Into Eternity that you can either share with a friend (good) or sell in the black market (bad)...as it is in survival situations you might be tempted by the not-so-good path, but remember that you always need someone close to help you grow.

Demo is also available for mac!

  • Fixed a big issue, when you were aiming at something low, the raycast could hit the collider of the character. Should correct a lot of problems with objects being hard to interact with.

Release incoming

As you may know if you are following our announcements, Drift Into Eternity should have been released on December 1. But what we really want is to release a fully polished player-experience, that is why we decided to hold and to correct all minor bugs we could find before being available in the Steam Store.

For now, this decision has been very beneficial to the game, and we can announce that even our early players will have a great time discovering every new content of the final release.

Patch note v0.99.99

Additions :


  • New screen for Juice Extractors displays the number of foods disassembled during the night.
  • Added sparks FX on breaches.
  • New voice tuto.
  • New sound for Water Recyclers
  • Added post effects options. Removed the "work in progress" panel.
  • Added camera shake effect when objective launch for "Travel In Progress" and "Wait For Crash".
  • Added death screen when Objective "Wait For Crash" is completed.
  • A music is now played when you use the "Music" object.

Improvements :

  • Big impact sound logic and camera shake improved.
  • Added camera shake when completing Objective "Lock Docking Bay".
  • When the objective "Redirect All Power" is completed, all lightings intensity will fade (except the flashlight).
  • Changed Text Log behaviour. Now a lot more user-friendly.
  • Modified text log for some positive events
  • Added highlight to Tech Trees.
  • Removed the language option since it was very incomplete and we didn't had time to do it well before release.
  • All saved preferences will be deleted on first launch to avoir problems with prior versions.
  • Removed the animation of Escape Pods.
  • Added a "not available" panel in front of escape pods to signify the player they can't be used.
  • Added sound when highlighting Tech Trees.
  • Modified Log text for objective "Prepare Procedure"
  • Added and removed lots of Voice Tutos for the new Voice.
  • Lowered the volume of the stinger for the Quit Button in main menu.
  • Changed the way the holomap of R54 handle sounds.

Bug Fixes :

  • lots of occlusions corrected at T|02


Release of 1.0 will be done November 30, as planned.
So last days to buy the full game at reduced price.
