With elite key (dropped always by rare monster) , allows to open a chest at tavern and gain a reward, depending on your HP level. Each map has its own Rare monster and loot table. Elite keys can't be sold, use as stake at duel etc.. keep those keys till you have max hp for higher loot table or use them.
