Building mode is creative mode. It gives ability to use infinity number of blocks and use big set mode using Ctrl+RMB, so you can set big number of blocks at once:

Hello, new version of Industriworks is come. A few month ago, when I worked on v0.2.3, I observed, that Industriworks code is full of bugs, so I decided to fully rewrite it. It was a mistake, because this didn't help fix old bugs and added even more bugs. Now it's v0.3, it is rather a continuation of v0.2 branch. I plan to improve existing content in v0.3.X. And in v0.4 add content. Features: 0. Containers drop contained items. 1. Flowers are destroyed when not on dirt. 2. Apers and deers runs away from player. 3. Removed block drop. 4. Added sinusoidal raising and lowering to drop. 5. Item drop are 3D now. 6. Default block stacksize incrased to 16. 7. Player inventory size increased to 44 slots. 8. Chest slot number increased to 32 slots. 9. Player quick slot box increased to 12 slots. 10. Quick box can be controled by numpad +/-, mouse wheel, keyboard 1...9,0,-,=. 11. Many textures are retextured. 12. Added pretty interblock shadows. 13. New model for heart crystal. 14. Selected slot item are displayed in right-bottom corner of window. 15. Hello, It's v0.2.1 update. Features: 0. Removed bug when black nonlight block sides appeared on chunks joint. 1. Optimized chunks, so it's not laggy when a few hundreds are generated. 2. Hello everyone. Industriworks v0.2 is released.
Main features:
0. Majority of blocks stacksize incrased to 8.
1. Drop visual size incrased a bit.
2. Added world management.
3. You can make screenshots with F2 key. Screenshots are put in ~/screenshots/, where ~ is direcotory of installed Industriworks.
4. Added sounds of block setting and block removing.
5. Player now can walk and jump.
6. Light updating no more freezes the game.
7. Added HP.
8. Added 3 mobs: Aper, Deer, and Goblin. They are spawning eventually.
9. Added some crops: Wheat, Potato, and Pumpkin.
10. Goblin can buy crops from player. This is a new way to receive MP.
11. Use Reconfiguration on potato to get tomatoes.
12. Added player damage.
13. Life, Decomposition, and Reconfiguration are animated.
14. Retextured moon.
15. Drop and mob target blocks block target, so when you pick up a drop, you will not pick up a dropped block (in block form) which is behind.
16. Added heigh maps representing height generation metadata.
Future developing of Industriworks:
I plan to make a few updates, that adds better world generation, new mobs, goblin settlements and golem-harvester, and some small features to make the game more comfortable.
Then I plan to make v0.3 with a big important feature trains and railway.
Industriworks v0.1 is live now. Added Golems, Slimes, Money Points, Spells, and Music.
Golems. In a discussion I mentioned that first resource autiomations will be NPC interacting, however I reconstructed some ideas and decided, that first automations will be golems. This version doesn't contain real automations as there is no real goals in the game for resource automations in this version. These golems can help you to dig, craft and move items.
MP. MP (money points) is vital energy of almost each creature (such as player and slime, but golems) in Industriworks. MP can be converted to ML (money level), a value, that is set to creature in a non-linear way depending on MP creature own. Player can use ML to open spells, which can be obtained in left side of inventory (GUI context). Player can take MP from mobs such as slimes.
In Industriworks v0.1 player has 3 spells Life, Decomposition, and Reconfiguration, which is used to make golems.
All major features added in v0.1:
0. Music at startup menu.
1. Slimes.
2. Golems and pedestal crafting.
3. Generation of rare huge caves.
4. Heart Crystall, that is used to craft golems.
5. MP-bar and spell slots.
6. New achievement related to crafting golems.
7. Making bottled anvil, that is used to open spell Reconfiguration.
8. GUI pixel scaling.
9. Metal Smelter.
10. Esc-menu when Industriworks window is not focused.
11. Drop targeting.
Fixes:
0. Fluids are targeted depending on their volume.
Note, that you maybe need to delete your saves of v0.0.6. These saves are supported, but starting coordinates of the world is shifted and you will appear underground. However, you still can get above ground if you will move faster than world generating.
