The Xbox Live Indie Game classic, and original inspiration for Doggo Dig Down, is coming to Steam! I always saw Doggo Dig Down as the modern, quintessential version of this game, but I've been asked by a few people now if Craftimals in its purest form was ever going to come back. Well, here it is! https://store.steampowered.com/app/3172430/Craftimals_Build_to_the_Sun/ I've added new keyboard/mouse controls, changed the music, fixed a few outstanding bugs, and implemented all the standard Steam features, but this is still largely the same game that it was back in 2012. Craftimals will be released mid-October and will launch alongside a "Build to the Sun" bundle that includes Doggo Dig Down. So if you've already purchased Doggo Dig Down, then keep an eye out for the bundle to get a discount.
Version 1.3 represents a long overdue "quality of life" update that makes several adjustments to existing features and adds some cool new stuff. For instance...
All hats in the game have been replaced with new, Halloween-themed hats/costumes. These will remain even after Halloween ends, so there's no rush!
Hats are unlocked by finding presents underground. There are nine (spooky) hats in total.
Doggo Dig Down is now up and running on Linux! Only 64-bit versions of Ubuntu are guaranteed, but I'll do my best to support other flavors as they arise. This update also adds some much needed background visuals throughout the game and improves a few other graphical and audio issues. The trailer and screenshots have been updated to reflect the new look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S44zGIVkbBs
Version 1.1 adds a new, optional "Ice Mode" (accessed via the main menu) that makes all blocks slippery and keeps doggo moving. Try it out if you need an extra challenge or just want to goof around! Also in this update:
You can now try out Doggo Dig Down for free with the demo version of the game! The only difference between the demo and full game is that a barrier appears after the third power-up in the sky that prevents you from building any higher. The demo supports cloud saving, though, so you won't lose any progress should you decide to upgrade. Achievements related to power-ups will also unlock the next time you find a power-up in the full version.
