- Fix to audio compression to reduce the RAM footprint even further to prevent game freezing and unexpected game crashes
- Fix to audio mismatch with dialogue on Getting Kicked Out Of School ending
- Fix to Max's storyline that was causing crashes or early game overs
- De-normalized the CLICK sound so it isn't grating to headphone users
- Steam Achievements added
- Audio files edited again so that all voice clips are loaded on demand from resources and the voice clip manager no longer stores them all
- Journal fixes re: Kalbin displaying Terk quotes
- Enter/Spacebar/Return can no longer be mashed in between scenes to cause the story to desync, or in some cases, skip story markers altogether
- Code workaround that should recognize mouse/key input whenever text *but not choices* are on screen, to allow player to continue
- increased amount of time before clicks/key presses are allowed *very slightly* in between conversation progress
- forced conversation display to believe it has the menu closed so it shouldn't prevent clicks during dialogue scenes that appear to work again if menu is opened/closed
- moved Kitty slightly during Dining Hall scenes to prevent her overlapping Fritz during a particular unlockable dinner sequence
Our games have always pushed the limits of game genres. Quest for Glory and Shannara were adventure games that were also role-playing and storytelling games. Castle of Dr. Brain brought together challenging word games, math puzzles, mazes, and more in entertaining ways. Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption combined adventure gaming, role-playing, and a school simulation. Now we're at it again with Summer Daze at Hero-U, and as usual, it's hard to describe. That's why we'll be playing through part of the game to show you what it's all about! Summer Daze could be described as a visual novel, a "choices matter" game, an adventure game, a relationship game, or even a casual role-playing game. Join us at https://www.twitch.tv/transolargames on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 2 pm PDT to experience Summer Daze at Hero-U with the developers. We'll play through part of the game and talk about the development process and our plans for Summer Daze and future games. We'll also run some contests, play a bit of the Quest for Infamy game that was inspired by Quest for Glory, and try to find time for Lori to read from her young adult novel, By the Book.
Weve released an update to the demo, squashing some bugs and including our Kickstarter stretch goal of animated backgrounds. When you play the demo now, youll see the difference; clouds will move, flags will flutter in the wind, and characters will blink their eyes when they talk to you. The animations add more life to the game; we think theyre worth it. The new demo also includes a preview of Ifeyos story. Ifeyo Kinah is a Wizard student, and his friends and teachers are quite different from Tillys. His familiar, the meerbat Jafafa, also accompanies him through much of the game! If there are still bugs, dont hesitate to tell us! Comment here, email support@hero-u.net, or bring them up on our Discord channel. Were looking forward to getting the full game out soon!

Gameplay: Summer Daze is an interactive story game that changes through your choices. You play as the studious Wizard Ifeyo or the mischieveous Rogue Tilly. Your choices will help you make friends, have exciting adventures, and help the Harvest Festival succeed (or fail gloriously). This is a dialogue-driven point-and-click game with choice menus and an interactive game map.
The Team: Corey and Lori Cole, the husband and wife team behind Transolar Games, have designed many great games including the Quest for Glory series, Castle of Dr. Brain, and Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption. With the support of their talented development teams and devoted fans, they continue to create role-playing, adventure, and story-telling games full of lore, mystery, wonder, and beauty.
