That was a long journey but we made it to the final stretch! For the People launches in less than two days on the 13th of August and we would like to share some information regarding the latest updates and improvements that were made to the game.

First and foremost - we couldn't be more grateful to our amazingly supportive community! It was an absolute blessing to get so many insightful reviews and helpful feedback from our Comrades. The team surely wouldn't be able to get this far without you!
Now let's take a closer look at the changes we made and the new features that were implemented to facilitate your enjoyment of our newest title. Those who have previously played the demo will no doubt immediately spot the difference between it and the latest version of the game. We hope you'll like it!
In-game hints
Some users suggested implementing a system of hints that will help newcomers during their first playthrough by explaining in-game events and mechanics in greater detail. You asked for it and we have delivered - hovering the mouse cursor over certain elements of the games interface will now display popups with a short explanation of what these items are and how to use them.
Save/Load menu
For the People includes more than five alternate endings, so if youre aiming to arrive at a specific conclusion to the story it's generally recommended to save your progress as often as possible - many of the players decisions will have serious, sometimes unforeseen consequences and may potentially alter the course of in-game history!
Don't worry though - we got you covered! Multiple additional slots have been added to the save/load menu so that you don't need to worry about missing any opportunities - simply go back in time and relive the same moment again, ultimately making a different choice.
Fonts and readability
In a nutshell, For the People is an interactive novel meaning there's TONS of content for the player to read through. Never losing sight of this fact, we have readjusted the size as well as other aspects of the in-game fonts in order to improve their readability and the general accessibility of our project.
Recourses management and budget allocation
Some of our users pointed out that the economic planning screen could be made larger, cleaner, and easier to click around in... Well, we have heard you loud and clear! The regional management menu has seen a general overhaul, sporting not only a revised visual design but also additional hints on producing and transporting resources to and from Iron-1.
Public funds allocation mechanics were improved as well - instead of constantly having to keep individual districts needs and requests in mind or checking the status screen before making every important decision you can now simply read the reports carefully prepared by your assistant Helen!
Lore and world-building
While working on the game, our aim was to create an alternate history scenario where the ruling Orange Party has its own goals that diverge from the interests of the proletariat. This confrontation is at the cornerstone of the story presented in For the People and it was important to properly showcase this idea without interrupting any major game events, thus ensuring that the player can discover and explore the games lore at their own pace. Should you ever feel lost or unsure about a certain term, you can now click the map hanging on the wall of Franks office and dive into the history of the UPOC.
Alternatively, click the city map right in the middle of the mayors desk, navigate to the Anna Tietrich City Library and learn more about the main historical events, city buildings, etc.
This was just a small fraction of the changes brought on by the latest patches and updates leading up to the official Steam launch on the 13th of August. If you havent wishlisted and followed For the People until now we strongly recommend you to do so in order to enjoy the delightful release day discount! We would also really appreciate it if you helped us spread the word - tell your favorite YouTuber, streamer, or a gaming media outlet about the upcoming release and feel free to share this post with your friends! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1146600/For_the_People/
