Were excited to share a closer look at Pilgrims: Curious Adventures, our very first board game developed in collaboration with our friends at Pink Troubadour. Its inspired by the whimsical world of our video game Pilgrims, but instead of doing a one-to-one adaptation, we brewed up something new: a highly replayable, easy-to-learn yet deeply tactical tabletop adventure. Our goal was to keep the charm and playfulness of the original while creating mechanics that feel right at home on your table.

Youll wander across an ever-changing map of cards to recruit companions and collect useful items. Combine movement and collected cards in thoughtful, puzzle-like ways to trigger special abilities and complete adventures to earn points and party improvements. As your party grows stronger, so do the possibilities for clever tactics and combos.
In a recent interview for Riseher.cz, designer and illustrator Radim Jurda (lead designer and artist on Creaks) shares how a small card prototype grew into a full-fledged board game, how he balanced a playful atmosphere with strategic gameplay, and what its been like to bring Amanitas signature style into a new medium. Pilgrims: Curious Adventures will make its debut this October at Essen SPIEL 2025, the worlds largest board game fair. The English edition will launch this fall, with pre-orders opening in late September on Amanita Designs [u]online shop[/u] . A Czech edition is planned for 2026.
