1.3.3 Update |
The long overdue patch release is finally here. No big features, but this fixes some major issues that some people have been experiencing with the released version.
Here are the Noah3D specific changes for this release:
- Level 4-1's ending is cosmetically modified to remove the only unmarked mandatory secret in the game.
- For new players, the game now defaults to SNES scale feeders since a common complaint was the large sprites despite it being an option in the menu.
- On first run users are prompted to press a key or button on their controller to select input type. This avoids drifting when people left a gamepad plugged in and didn't intend to use it.
- Default resolution changed to a 16:9 aspect ratio.
- Menu no longer gives the option to increase the screen size such that the status bar is removed since it caused confusion.
- Fixed some typos in the in game manual.
- Changes to Steam integration to improve reliability.
- Linux: Removed dependency on fluidsynth.
More changes come from the incorporation of ECWolf 1.3.3.

Wisdom Tree Kickstarter Campaign |
Hey Guys!
For those of you that have not heard, We have co-launched a Kickstarter with Wisdom Tree for a new Plug and Play console that will feature the collection of 8 bit Wisdom Tree games.
However, along the Rewards, you will be able to find PC versions both Digital and Physical for other Wisdom Tree games like Spiritual Warfare, Bible Adventures and Exodus!!
There are Special Big Box PC editions for Super 3D Noah's Ark and The Wisdom Tree Collection! They will come in a big box cardboard box along with the Physical CD version of the games!

S3DNA DOS Source Code Reconstructed |
As some of you may know, the original source code to the DOS version of Super 3D Noah's Ark was lost. The product released here is based on reverse engineering and reimplementation upon a modern rendition of the Wolfenstein 3D game engine. A buddy of mine NY00123, however, utilizing the research done for this port along with debugging symbols that he discovered were left in the original game executable managed to recreate the original source code for the game (modulo comments of course)!
For those interested, the source code can now be found in NY00123's repository on bitbucket:

I apologize for the delay, but I don't like doing releases when I'm unsure about my availability to patch any critical issue in the deployment that may occur. When it comes out though, It will solve issues people are having with using Steam broadcasting, make cloud saving more resilient to crashing, as well as make adjustments to make the game work better for people without having to tweak the options.

Launch delay |
At the request of Valve, the launch of the game on Steam has been delayed until the 23rd. This decision is primarily based on launch visibility rather than needing the extra time for any reason. I will still be releasing the update for the engine and on itch.io on the 18th, so hopefully this will allow the launch to go smoother as well.
In the mean time, since I know some of you were waiting patiently for a key for the game: Instructions are posted on how to get a Steam key if you've previously purchased the game directly from us.
