Ren'Py Engine Update With the efforts of the creator PyTom and many Ren'Py peoples, I was able to apply an improved engine. Android support, OpenGL and DirectX acceleration, other many fixes and improvements have been applied. I am also currently involved in the Korean translation of the engine. Android After updating the engine I built a new TEEN version for Android. I expected better performance on Android. As expected, it worked great on my test devices. New Year's First Devlog

We think that we have already shown enough remake arts by updating the Steam Trading Cards. So we refrain spoilers from now on.

Optimized with recent Ren'Py Engine.

Discouraged Workers is made with Ren'Py Visual Novel Engine. And PyTom, the creator of Ren'Py Engine, he has built a basic system that can be used by Ren'Py games for a user experience for a long time. And at Ren'Py 6.99.11, a new In-Game GUI has been added. Up to now, Discouraged Workers is based on the Ren'Py 6.99.7. ːbabyshotː In the remake, Discouraged Workers applies the latest version-current version is 6.99.12- of Ren'Py. The basic GUI will follow a new In-Game GUI of Ren'Py. Of course there will be some changes that are optimized with Discouraged Workers. Here I attached a working sample for first run, it may change in actual remake updates. Add a Sketch-art for Concept and Diary Archive

I said we will replace the Ga-yeon's diary to the each cutscenes with new CGs in the past. And now, we change that plan. The Concept and Diary Archive will keep the existing system, and I write a few changes here.

• Keep the existing system but because the GUI changes, the archive will look better.
• Each item includes a sketch-art that describes the concept or situation. This will give you a deeper understanding for the cover story of Discouraged Workers.
• The button for each item will changes to an imagebutton that uses sketch-art.
• Each buttons has a tooltip. So you can check the title of each item.

ːClimbUpː Native Steam Controller support has been restored.

Now you can re-use the Steam Controller for the Discouraged Workers. The basic description can be found in the big picture, and you need to read the manual or keymaps screen to see all the features.

In the next major version 1.5 update, we will improve the controller support. You can set your controller button images on the first run and configuration. I attached some working screenshots below.

ːseraphː And this is the Devlog that I have written to our IndieDB on the 15th of August.

Currently we are working for the Discouraged Workers V 1.5. This is a major update and the many changes will available for our players. First, the art will be renewed by chibilis studio. The male characters and CG sprites, event CGs will be replaced. Here I attached some screenshots.





Second, we will support the Simplified Chinese. We currently have finished the translation of the Demo.
Other changes we will working:

• Add new CGs.
• Replace the Diary to the each cutscenes with new CGs.
• Update the Digital Art Book and Extras DLC.
• Add one paid DLC(Major Arcana PNP Pack) -It just collectible DLC, does not affect the game.

The Adventure Jam 2016(#AdvJam2016) invited me, so I participated with chibilis studio and Ga Younghee. Our title is the #WIMCJ. chibilis studio drew the female characters in the #KNDW. And Ga Younghee, she translated the #KNDW in the english(the primary translator). ːgod_deadː From May 7 to May 20(UTC+9), we've created the first prototype. #WIMCJ is an indie adventure created by YGGDRASIL STUDIO. Ga-yeon must find the missing cranberry jam.

TCG Samples

Currently I am working for #WOT TCG card samples for my Korean contributors. #WOT is an open rule TCG made by me. This rule can be open to the public for indie, someday. First, I have never thought about it, people who playing KNDW with suffer from epilepsy. But I received an e-mail, so I prepared this update.

Second, KNDW was an error in the execution of the game for a several hours. The first reason is related to the Ren'Py SDK updates. The second reason was the malfunctioning of the Steam DRM. The errors has now been fixed all.[/olist]
