This is a notice letting everyone know that the game's pricing will be adjusted in certain regions in early January 2023. The primary reason for this change is the different economic situation compared to 3 years ago, when the game was released. The base price for the game will remain at 1.99 U.S Dollars. The game will be using Steam's updated recommended pricing for other currencies. A similar adjustment will also be applied to the Original Soundtrack. Its base price will remain at 0.99 U.S Dollars. (This is a modified version of a blog post from the Cats are Liquid Dev Blog.) Since the 1.1 update is almost here, why not do an overview post looking at the most prominent changes? This isnt a full changelog. That will come later.

Editor improvements

• Added the ability to rename rooms/worlds/packs.
• New item palette icons.
• Undo functionality.
• Added optional falling void. No more infinite drops into the abyss (enabled on new rooms by default).
• Lock-on guides for shape points.
• Improved the editor guide and added more info to it.
• Instead of having to type the name of a room or world, doors now just have a dropdown menu with all the available destinations.
• Improved pipe editing.
• Better recovery for corrupted packs.
• Tons of editor related bug fixes.

Pack sharing improvements

• Redid the pack list UI and the pack room select UI.
• Packs can now have a custom preview image thats embedded in the pack file.
• Added a pack progression check so that creators can make sure the progression of the pack follows the intended way.

Improvements:

• Performance improvements.
• Item orbits now stop with the time freeze.
• Adjusted character intro sequence in W1R8.
• Adjusted slope in W10R5.
• The game now pauses when the controller is unplugged during gameplay, or when the Steam Overlay is activated.
• Improved cursor hiding when playing with a controller.
• Added "Controller not supported" warning when opening the editor with a controller plugged in.
• The mouse is now visible during editor gameplay.
• Improved controller UI navigation.
• Other smaller improvements.

Fixes:

• Fixed being able to use the hookshot while getting an ability.
• Fixed cat always looking like it has full health in a pipe.
• Fixed light burst ability failing when hugging a wall.
• Fixed throwable explosive respawn animation bug.
• Fixed projectiles sometimes disappearing in oddly specific circumstances.
• Fixed cat ear related bugs.
• Fixed toggle platform points being visible after a room change.
• Fixed Ice Block jumping being inconsistent at times.
• Fixed pipe corners / end pieces not changing color on room load.
• Fixed multiple bugs that could have caused a community pack to not load properly.
• Additional fixes for cat getting stuck inside a circle during room load.
• Fixed W8R8 lava hitbox issue.
• Fixed cat expression in W8R9.
• Fixed typo in W6R5.
• Fixed some items no longer working after visiting the editor.
• Fixed TogglePlatform editor showing other toggles when not active.

• Better camera movement on respawn and death.
• Jumping spikes now stop with the time freeze.
• Reduced the amount of fire in W10R5 and W10R7.
• Adjusted W11R4 difficulty.
• Made Prophet icons easier to click on.
• Made editor open the proper room after finishing testing.

• You can now add a Workshop feature image in-game.

• Fixed the editor logic of the moving item line.
• Fixed dying while exiting editor edit mode causing a fracture in time and space.
• Fixed data editor panel not closing when the editor was closed.
• Fixed "Open file browser" -button for community world packs not showing up if the user already has a pack.
• Fixed control remapping screen exit bug.
• Fixed playing being able to use ice blocks to jump to infinity and beyond.
• A number of other, smaller bug fixes.

• Fixed game not switching to default character during story sequences.
• Fixed story text sometimes not being visible on certain devices.
• Fixed pipes being curvable.

Improvements:

• The game can now unlock achievements based on previous progression.
• Gave throwable items their scale animation back.

Fixes:

• Fixed achievements past World 10 not feeling like unlocking.
• Fixed certain fire dispensers not knowing when to stop.
• Fixed being unable to delete custom worldpacks.
• Fixed room select right arrow being misplaced on ultra high definition displays.
• Fixed Companion timer not showing up.
• Fixed some neutral editor icons not being grayscale.
• Fixed Workshop submission button sometimes not being visible.
• Fixed "Open file browser" sometimes opening up the respective OS's file browser, but not nagivating to the correct folder.

Improvements:

• Added intro fade-in.
• Improved performance of fire.
• Updated credits.

Fixes:

• Fixed hexagon sometimes disappearing from W5R2.
• Fixed W9R1 always appearing locked.
• Fixed cat failing to properly enter a pipe, if that pipe was right after another.
• Fixed sometimes being unable to exit a pipe (especially auto-pipes).
• Fixed some players not getting past the first button wall in W8R1.
• Fixed resetting the current room while inside a pipe not resetting the camera.
• Fixed story text not being properly visible on some ultra high resolution devices.
• Fixed controls sometimes becoming unresponsive after exiting / dying in a story segment.
