Changes to UniBlaster game controls, thanks to feedback from Andy and Josh:
* Hopefully controls are easier for beginners without breaking any of the existing control methods for experts, please test them all!
* New option on in-game menu to restrict sticks to 8-direction - should this be the default for some games? Feedback please!
* New analogue controls for Spaceships
* Easier to play Droids and Tanks if using only one stick and one fire button
* Easier to rush
* Bombers bomb dropping tweaked
'Players' and 'Tournament' options on menu are in heavy development and dont currently work.

RetroWar is a collection of 8-bit retro style arcade games. Currently we are focused on single-screen multiplayer games that you play with your friends locally (i.e. sitting on the couch together.) Most of the games don't have single player mode (If you want single player mode then vote for it in the forums!)
Games
Spaceships - vector thrust in the tradition of SpaceWar / Asteroids / Subspace.
Droids - fast-paced twin stick shooter.
Tanks - tactical sniping game .
Bomb Bots - drop bombs to blow up your opponents, but don't get caught in the blast.
Ghost Jumpers - platform race to be first while jumping over spooky enemies.
SnakeEaters - the classic snake game.
Balloonacy - mash buttons to fill your balloon.
Our UniBlaster game engine is designed with the specs of a 'fantasy' 1980s console, akin to an NES, but with modern standards for framerate, aspect ratio and controller input. It's easily extensible, so you can mod games, mash up different games, or even create your own.
Features
Authentic: old school low resolution gaming - no mixing of different sized pixels here.
Controls: modern controllers/keyboard/mouse, but still fully playable with a NES or SNES style controller.
Music: authentic soundtracker mods and 8-bit chiptunes.
Modable: change the music, graphics, rules, or write your own games.
