Eon now preserves its native aspect-ratio in windowed and full-screen modes. The previous stretched-to-fill behavior is still available in a second full-screen mode. The default startup mode has also been changed from full-screen to windowed.

Some new shaders have been added to stylistically emphasize critical events including sacrifices, vanishes, and eliminations. An elimination threat alert has also been added to help remove some ambiguity from abrupt ends for inexperienced players.

Eon is a fun, fast-paced, challenging game of cellular conflict.
The goal is to conquer a 7x7 grid by either eliminating the opposing colors destructively or by displacing them from the board.
The tools at your disposal, shared equally with your AI opponents, consist of two simple mechanics:
As levels progress gameplay evolves, incorporating additional, smarter, and faster AI players, and a variety of dynamic obstacles.

- Taking a neighboring cell as your own
- Sacrificing your cells to affect the surrounding cells
