Holiday Skins and Achievements!

Patch Notes V1.1.0: Valentine's Day! Holiday skins and Achievements!

Hey there! We're excited to push out the first major update of ICBING2(K). Thanks so much to all of you who have supported the game. We hope we can continue to build on it in a way to keep you excited! <3 I know our updates sometimes come with a quirky write-up, but this time we're just listing the facts. We're adding some new features and a few new things to chase. (TLDR at the bottom if you dont wanna read stuff.)

ACHIEVEMENTS

Added Steam Achievements.
Some achievements might pop right away when you launch the game if youve previously met their requirements, otherwise you will have to re-earn them. We apologize for any inconvenience if you have to re-earn any Achievements. Best of luck!

HOLIDAY COLLECTION

Added Holiday Collections and Holiday items.
In the Collections tab, you'll find a new button to expand the Collection! For now, youll find some late celebration for Lunar New Year bundled in with Valentine's Day. Were planning to have content for a few other holidays this year.
Like with the previous ICBING, all additional content and updates will be FREE.. We havent fully sold out entirely just yet but if Raid Shadow Legends wants to sponsor a skin, we would definitely think about it.
Holiday Items will be uncommon during Holiday periods and very rare between Holidays. This change will make commons slightly less common. We'll monitor their rarity as events go on, but every Holiday Item will be available going forward once they are added. So don't worry if you miss a Holiday, those items will be there later!
Note: Holiday Items will NOT count towards your Tier Collection totals (including Achievements). To complete a Tier, you will still need to collect every item from the original set. We'll monitor how this ends up affecting the difficulty of collection-based Achievements going forward and if the pool gets too saturated we'll make adjustments.

OTHER QUALITY-OF-LIFE UPDATES

Reset save option added to Settings Menu. We're working on a more robust "Prestige" system coming soon, but for now if you want to just reset and start over, the option will be there in the Settings. Once done, there is no way to undo it so be aware!
Other general Quality-of-Life updates and bug fixes, including some visual bugs and UI updates.

That's it for now. We're pleased with the positive feedback so far and will be working to improve the game in a few more ways going forward. We have a few other QoL updates at different points in our priorities, so well keep you posted on when those will happen. Hope you enjoy the Holiday Collection and look for more Holiday content going forward! Also: we have no shame in asking for you to leave a review. If youre enjoying ICBING2(K), wed love to hear it! If theres stuff for us to improve, let us know that too so we can prioritize updates! We're Back Baby!

The game industry hasnt stopped, so neither will we. From the creators of I Cant Believe Its Not Gambling comes the sequel: I Cant Believe Its Not Gambling 2(K). I Cant Believe Its Not Gambling 2(K) is the next chapter of (totally not) gambling in video games! This time, youll be spinning slots to win new skins for your slot machines. Weve included some other small features to explore too, like a new Basketball mini-game, the ability to enter fake Credit Card pins for in-game money (and secrets!), and a brand new Prestige ladder where youll earn Titles and skins. Honestly, who has time to mess around with playing a full match of a simulated sport with ok animations, weird bugs, and frustrating online play? All just to get back to the real action - spinning the slot machine for sweet, sweet digital rewards! All anyone really wants is to have their brain fire off those sparks of excitement, that feeling of winning. The store page has just gone live, WISHLIST NOW to be ready for it!

Hi all,

This time around, we do want to get a little serious... As much as we enjoy parody, we do hope this is the last entry of the ICBING franchise. *It probably won't be and that's sad.

We feel this trend in the big names of the game industry is taking a dangerous path with regards to gambling and we hope to call attention to the very real predatory actions of these titles. Micro-transactions and DLC are a part of modern development and can offer paths to continuing employment for game developers (important! - we all want to keep making games for you all) and evolve the worlds you want to spend more time in. The important thing to understand is that with games that are expected to have years of balance and content updates, there's almost no way that all content in all games can be free forever. HOWEVER. Locking exciting content behind toxic walls of infinite grind with the alternate to literally gamble for rewards with real money, we think is unacceptable. This, on top of already full-price games, and finding these mechanics in games directed for children, is well beyond the acceptable line of morality to us. These practices feed into vulnerable, addiction-prone individuals and financially drain them.

Even if you don't purchase our game, we want this to serve as a reminder of the seriousness of this matter and a point of entry for information. For starters, know that there is help out there. If you or someone you know needs help with addition (game-related or not), please refer to the links in-game for Gambling Addiction Help. We are also including resources that show research done into these game industry practices and how dangerous they really are. Hopefully this invites more discussion in the game industry and will eventually lead to meaningful changes in how we can continue to make content that players enjoy.

We hope you find some enjoyment from I Can't Believe It's Not Gambling 2(K) but we do want this satire to be an entry point for people to research and understand the scary reality of these concepts. We do also want to encourage people to donate to Addiction Help programs around the world and will be holding sales weekends where we will be donating to these programs ourselves as well. We will share updates when these are live so that you can share them with your friends to support a cause AND get a neat little parody game.
