Update 1.0.11 comes with a few minor fixes:

- Audio bug, some SFX does not respond to volume settings.
- The scoreboard in the game mode menu does not display the list correctly.

We did a significant performance optimization update on the game, in addition to fixing some bugs and also improving some features like Arcade mode. I'm not going to talk much about the technical part, I think that doesn't matter much to players, but this update basically brings the improvements listed below:

• Reuse of objects [Object Pool]: this is basically a technique to optimize the use of hardware during the game, with this technique, objects such as shots and explosions are reused in a way that does not generate electronic garbage, optimizing the use of the processor for example .
• Option to play in Cooperative mode in Arcade mode: In previous versions it was not possible to start Arcade mode in cooperative mode, leaving the second player without any improvement. In this version, there is now a choice before starting an Arcade game.

After receiving feedback from some players, we noticed that many were finding the game much more difficult than Space Elite Force I, making the game a little frustrating for those looking for a more casual experience with the game. After checking and doing several tests in the game, we decided to create two levels of difficulty to suit both types of players, those who want a faster and more casual experience and those more experienced who are looking for a more hardcore game. So we created the Recruit and Elite difficulty levels.

Bugs resolved

• locked arcade mode (does not generate new attack waves)
• 'Square button on the Playstation controller' or 'X on the Xbox controller' opening the options menu in the main menu.

Linux support

First game update brings some improvements to the default control settings, menu navigation and a map of the keyboard controls.

The game underwent rigorous tests in the recognition and remapping of controls, the tests were made with an Xbox One controller (Xinput) and generic Playstation 2. Some problems like starting with the inverted joystick axis have been resolved, but nothing very serious has been found.

Now, in the controls remap menu, a map of the keyboard controls will appear, if the chosen player has no control assigned to him.

The navigation in side menus has also been improved, now you use buttons with 'Q' and 'E', RB and LB to navigate between the menus, this made navigation easier and easier to understand.

We will continue to improve according to player feedback.

The game works natively with Xinput.dll installed in conjunction with DirectX, which recognizes most controls on the market; we use the Rewired tool, known to most Unity developers, to support the controls. This can cause problems with the Steam emulation system, so follow the recommendation below for a better experience.

Steam (Windows): Sony DualShock 4, generic gamepad, or other joystick doesn't work or appears as two devices
This can happen if the user has enabled PS4 Configuration Support or Generic Gamepad Configuration Support in Steam Big Picture mode under Settings -> Controller or in the main Steam interface in the menu Steam -> Settings -> Controller -> General Controller Settings.
