Betrayal At Club Low - DEMO Available

Hello!

Today I'm pleased to announce that you can play a Demo of my next game, Betrayal At Club Low, right here and now on its Steam Store page.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1885750/Betrayal_At_Club_Low/

Betrayal At Club Low is a departure in gameplay from my previous titles. It primarily draws inspiration from modern tabletop RPGs. And in this game, your stats are all represented by dice, all customizable, all determining the various decisions and outcomes you'll make on your perilous mission into a dangerous nightclub.

This, combined with the exploration, dialog and the surreal vibe rooted in my previous games, gives players a sense that I'm looking at an established world through a new lens.

The full game will be out later this year, but in the meantime, try the demo and let me know what you think!

Hotfix - "Calzone"

Hi everyone.

This fix addresses an issue that had come up recently due to Steam changing the way they handle cloud saves. The issue: If you took a picture with your camera, it would get stuck in picture-taking mode and soft-lock the game. I patched that up, so your picture taking should be good to go.

That said, if you do find a bug, email me at support-at-cosmod.net or post it on the community forums or @cosmoddd on my Discord server.

Cheers!

v1.1 Content Update is Live

Hi everyone,

Im pleased to announce that Tales From Off-Peak City Vol. 1 has received a substantial content update. This content includes:

 • A new pizza delivery, which takes you into an as-yet unexplored apartment literally dripping with atmosphere. All the moody lighting, absorbing sound design, and environmental detail are here and in full effect.
 • New characters introduced - key players in the world of Off-Peak City. Their roles fold seamlessly into the wider narrative tapestry of the game, and point towards where well be heading in Volume 2.
 • Two new photo filters, giving budding photographers further visual options to explore their photography skills in the world (and display them in Caetanos pizza joint!)
 • Two additional music tracks, one for pizza making and one soundtracking your latest pizza delivery.
 • An enhanced finale encompasses the new content, offering new surprises for players already familiar with the games ending.

This content is free for all current and future owners of Tales From Off-Peak City.
How do I access this new content?
The content appears as a new delivery on your computer screen. To access it, pick up the eyeball on the table in Caetanos upstairs apartment testing area.
What if Ive already beaten the game?
You can replay the game to access the content (it is not optional), or you can download these savegame files which bring you directly to the point where youd access the new content.

Saves here.

Note: In order for these savegame files to work, disable Steam Cloud for this game, or it will overwrite these files.
What if something is not working?
Ive re-balanced some of the prices of items in the game to account for the new delivery. Theyve been tested to work, but in case you run into any trouble, email me with your saves at support@cosmod.net. These saves are located at:

I hope you enjoy playing this new content as I did making it!

Tales From Off-Peak City Vol. 1 - New Content Beta Test

Im pleased to announce that additional content Ive been working for Tales From Off-Peak City is ready for testing.

This content contains a new delivery that takes you to a new apartment, interacting with new characters which further deepen your connection to the world. Specifically, Gareon the Photographer becomes a major player in the overall arc of the story. New music and camera filters are also included in this update.
How do I access this version of the game?
Right click on the game in your library and go to "Properties."

On the "betas" tab, click on the beta-test option. The new version of the game should automatically download. If it doesn't, restarting Steam should do it.
How do I access the new delivery?
The delivery will appear on the order computer after youve taken the Lion eyeball in the testing room with Jan and Clarice (In Caetanos upstairs apartment).

What else is in this additional content?

A detailed breakdown:

- New music is played when making Gareon's pizza order.

- A new delivery sequence in a new building, featuring Gareon the Photographer, Mildred the Assistant, a guard named Woolsey, Big Mo and two other guards.

- Several new observable books

- Two new film filters. One can be found on the second floor of Building 26, the second is given to you as a reward for finishing the delivery.

- An alteration to the tableau behind Caetanos Stage that shows Gareon taking a picture of the Grand Opening of Caetanos restaurant.

- The cost of the skull horn has been raised by 60 dollars (to $605), to account for the fact that Gareon gives you 60 dollars as a reward for the pizza.

- Gareon appears where Clem was sitting (by the charcoal picture of the factory) after youve acquired the horn, to foreshadow further explorations into Building 9 (Volume 2).

- Mildred, a robot introduced in this content expansion, appears alongside Jan and Clarice in the final reveal in the vault after youve retrieved the saxophone.

- The final dialog with the woman and her father on the train has been expanded to more clearly bookend the arc of the experience, while setting the stage for volume 2.

- Theres a final title screen after you fade to white.

- Three new achievements are now available:
If you talk to Gareon and learn about Jo Troy.
If you talk to Mildred and learn about Auntie.
If you talk to the three guards and learn about why Woolsey can't pass an audition.
These three new achievements are public, hinted at on Steam, and simply activate through accessing the dialog relevant to them.

How do I report a bug?

In the game's options screen, there's a new button where you can submit a bug report:
Technical FAQ

I'm midway through the game. Is this new content compatible with my current saved game?
If youve already taken the eyeball from the desk in Caetanos test chamber, the new delivery option should appear on the order computer. However, if your save game state is after youve purchased the skull horn, the delivery will not appear.
The Installation Size Is A Lot Bigger - Why?
Im using an uncompressed version of the game because its faster to build and update for Steam. This otherwise should not affect performance or gameplay.
Should I restart the game from the beginning?
It never hurts to test the game in its entirety, if youre up for it.
Why am I seeing this?:
Its a console debug test counter and FPS tracker. You can toggle it by pressing Shift-0 (zero).
Can I just test the new content without having to play through the rest of the game?
Yes. Heres a savegame .zip that starts you right as you are about to make a pizza for Gareon.

Hotfix - "Cinnamon Toast"

Hi everyone. Thanks for the amazing support and response for Tales From Off-Peak City thus far.

This fix restores a collision in the stairwell behind the overturned mail-truck. In the release build you could clip through it. Now you can climb the stairs, like everywhere else.

I want to give a shout-out to rigorous beta-testing by the community ahead of launch. Compared to Norwood's release, there's been a lot less here to 'fix,' by and large.

That said, if you do find a bug, email me at support-at-cosmod.net or post it on the community forums or @me on my Discord server. And if you find something that broke that wasn't broken before, you can roll back to the previous build here:

Cheers!
