Lethal League Blaze did so well at Combo Breaker last year, that our players were asked to be part of the All In Together Community Tournaments again this year. To support that we are giving a bit more this time, sponsoring the tournament with $1000. A part of this will cover the spectator passes of tournament organizer and main commentators. The rest goes towards the prize pot. Combo Breaker 2024 takes place at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center near Chicago. This time on the weekend of May 24th 26th. HELLO! The European Blaze community is gathering for a local tournament at Hessen Crash in Bad Hersfeld, Germany on October 15. It's a side event, but with the amount of top players committed to travel and compete we decided to give it a push and sponsor it! That includes a 500 pot bonus, a trophy for first place and YinYin at the event all weekend with whatever merchandise he can carry there. If you ever wanted to meet and challenge top players like JawDrop, Cherry, Neerasure and many more, this is the place to be at. The tournament will be played on PCs. New Merchandise

We ran into an issue with pivots on the latest release and picked that opportunity to improve a few things!

changes:

• pivots are fully working again
• you can no longer pivot during a powerup sequence with no character movement
• the keys to cycle through outfits are now E & T (to avoid conflict with the default steam overlay shortcut)
• the maximum ranked score was lifted (as players are matched by division and score inflation has effectively been slowed down)

The outfits for Grid win by a small but decisive margin! This one could truly have gone the other way, if just a few Merchranger supporters had picked Nitro instead. But it seems these outfits aren't Grid at all ...
Who is this then? Back when Grid entered Shine City in hopes of expanding System's territory, he decided to set up a power provider telemarketing scam company 'Quality Output'. It was not to last, because the Shine City Police quickly busted the operation. To his surprise, Grid was standing face to face with his long lost brother Volt, now 'agent Volt' of the police's High Charge Devastator Unit. The two were well matched and to Grid's advantage, the ensuing fight destroyed all evidence and caused a city wide blackout. As the 'Mechranger' he traveled many worlds and saw the true name of things. He recounted his tales to Raptor and told him how Rex is the founder of citynetics and turned Latch into a cyborg. Finally releasing the Doombox outfits individually last week was a bit of a bumpy ride! Turns out granting the Doombox DLC to all existing Soundtrack owners made it impossible to purchase the new bundle (or the Soundtrack, when owning Doombox first). Now, the Sewage Facility doesnt just contain simple waste water. Full of unspeakable toxins and experimental bacteria, Dice soon lost consciousness. Some time passed and in a stroke of luck, Latch detected his lifeless body on his Robo-Subs sonar. While in Latchs care, Dice bandaged his own diseased skin and quickly fled into the darkness as if possessed by some primal instinct. Having lost his bat along the way, Raptor grabbed what gear he could find and mowed himself through the door."

Dust & Ashes Sentenced to death and hanged. In his final moment he was hit by lightning. The word 'Dust' echoed in his mind as he was thrown into a state of limbo between life and death. His shadow was split from his body and turned into an entity called Ashes. Dust carries with him a watch that stopped on the exact time of his execution.
Dust has some spicy angles, an asynchronous special using Ashes and a gameplay mechanic that allows him to float around the stage. Try holding his taunt for some slick stylo. Lethal League Blaze at Heat Wave 3

We have reworked all character models and stages, tweaked visuals and drove over the code with a bulldozer a couple of times to vastly improve performance on Nintendo Switch in both docked and handheld mode. A 1v1 matchmaking mode is added for the competitively minded among a myriad of other fixes. Heres the full list:

The Shadow Surge Update The boyos are not yet fully assembled yet, so you'll have to wait for the 'Shadow Surge' update to drop before you can start playing with them. We'll be showing more stuff that we'll add in that update in the coming weeks. This will include the changes and optimizations we made for the console version of the game, which means the game will run better on Steam as well (but we have a good hunch that existing mods will break and need a workaround).
Speaking of consoles, when can they expect the Shadow Surge update? Due to the strict patching guidelines on game consoles it won't be simultaneous. The Nintendo Switch version is still scheduled to get the optimizations patch first after all! Poster Pack

The famed Team Reptile official tournament series 'Jaw Breakers' is coming back!
On Sunday the 21st of April things will heat up -proper-. It'll be streamed and casted by known Blaze organizer FellowsTV so don't miss out even if you are not competing. Prizes include straight up cash for the top 3 (20, 40 and 60) and, for number one, a paid for trip and ticket to Stunfest* to play the soon to be released Lethal League Blaze for PS4 on the grand stage with a total pot of 1000. That's right, this time Jaw Breakers is also a Stunfest 2019 Qualifier. Stunfest is coming this May in Rennes, France, and Lethal League Blaze will be having its biggest live tournament there! The Jaw Breakers - Stunfest Online Qualifier will happen on the 21st of April and is open to European, Russian and Turkish entrants. We've added a pair of 'Chain-Engine' alternate outfits of Toxic. One of them isn't quite as easy to find. See if you can unlock it, all I can say is that it doesn't happen randomly! Modding On to the BIG modding news: we've found a way modders can modify the character models and throw 'em ingame without too much hassle. Our own Nilsuke is making a guide and although it's not finished yet, but you can already download the official modding package containing all the character models with bones usable for model swapping so you can get going. http://lethalleagueblaze.com/charactermodels/LLB_Character_Models.zip For now, be aware that every bone should influence at least one part of the model.
