Hi everyone! Elanfest '23 was streamed live today, and with it came a wealth of Twofold news and information! For those who aren't aware, First Snow is a prequel side story to Twofold, featuring a few of the same characters. We have a couple dates we're aiming for, and will reveal a finalized day a week or two prior to release. We're also hoping to have an OST and artbook ready to go on release as well! To make the wait a little easier, we're also launching a free demo, available right now! This demo goes over most of the introductory act of the game, and also includes a bonus scene exclusive to the demo that bridges the gap between the post-credits scene of First Snow and the start of Twofold, as told from Hayley's (Caprice and Millie's roommate) point of view. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1749770/Twofold/ Our last big surprise of the day comes in the form of a physical release! Hi everyone! Today, we launched the store page for the sequel to First Snow, Twofold, which you can view here. The page contains numerous screenshots, a teaser trailer, a story summary, character bios and a lot more! If you like what you see, please consider adding it to your wishlist. Here's a quick rundown of Twofold's premise: Olives situation is dire. They're on the verge of being thrown out of college unless they can salvage their GPA, and their only chance rests on classes they know next to nothing about. Their lifeline: two club leaders who are more than willing to help them succeed. However, no solution is that easy. Olive soon finds themself in the middle of a conflict between these two friends that threatens to undo their long-standing love for each other. Twofold is a story about love, family, and connection. It celebrates family of all kinds, and explores the strength (and fragility) of bonds between people. Taking place roughly a year after First Snow, Olives position as an outsider to these established friend circles will be vital to fully understanding the situation threatening to undo this close-knit group. While Twofold stars a new protagonist, Allison, Eileen and the whole art club are still in the picture, alongside a bunch of other new faces. You'll even be able to pursue individual friendships and experience optional side paths focused around them! Whether you choose to catch up with Allison and Eileen in the art club, or introduce yourself to the interesting characters in the writing club, we're really confident that you'll find something to enjoy! While First Snow only released two years ago, Twofold has actually been in development for ten years now, and we're so excited for everyone to finally see the fruits of our labor soon when it arrives next year. Hi everyone! We're pushing out a big update for First Snow with partial voice acting! Check out our blog post for the full details on where to get our new merch! Keep in mind that, as before, updating will most likely break your save files.

1.1 Patch notes

• Partial voice acting has been added. CGs and other notable events are fully voiced, while moments that use sprites use repeatable voice lines!
• The volume slider for voice acting is now unlocked by default
• Additionally, a voice emphasis toggle has been added to the menu
• Speech bubbles will now display when a voice line is played. "..." is shown when a fully voiced line plays, while "!" is shown when a repeatable line is used
• Various small typos and other errors fixed

Keep in mind your saves will likely break once you download the update. 1.0.1 Patch notes ----------------- - Corrected several typos and grammatical issues (thanks everyone who reported them!) - Added guest art piece from AcoTan that was missing in the initial release - Corrected credits and social media links in the guest art gallery - Touched up the modelling CG - Touched up blurred sprites that became too spooky on several occasions - Fixed the text bar disappearing on several occasions - Fixed duplicate entries appearing in the text log - Fixed crashes caused by the pre-splash logo - Made the hidden achievement alternatively unlockable by creating a file called `secret-unlock.txt` in the `game` folder - Added detection and warning for broken save games due to game updates

Hey everyone! We hope you've been enjoying reading Allison and Eileen's story! We just released a small hotfix which should fix some startup crash issues some people were encountering in rare circumstances. Unfortunately though, it may be the case that your savegame got confused with the update. This would show by the game suddenly returning to the title screen at the end of a scene: don't worry, it's not the end of the game! Sadly, the best thing we can suggest you to do in these cases is to start a new game and skip to the point you left off. You can fast-forward through the game to get back faster by holding the CTRL button! A future update will aim to provide a better fallback mechanism for these cases. Please enjoy First Snow, and feel free to let us know about any issues you encounter in the discussion forums!
