In depth explanation: Let's imagine we want to write a program that shows number 13 to a monitor and you have two blocks available: Number and Monitor. You set the number to 13 in the Number block and connect its output to Monitor block. Then the Number block sends the signal to the Monitor block that shows the correct number - it's that simple!
