This is a minor update, building on some of the big changes in May and June. Changes in the July release:
Lots of big changes, including new play mode, better gun play, Steam Achievements and Leaderboards, menu improvement, new settings and a little economic balancing. All New Game Mode Along with the campaign play, have added a new modecalled called 'Infinity Mode', which pits you against infinite waves of progressively more difficult game play. You can track your progress on the leaderboards. Exciting New Gun Play We are testing updates that remove the cool down on your burst cannon. After this release, it will be ready to fire after the last round of the previous burst. We're also testing a new update to the FLAK cannon to make it destroy all enemy projectiles in its radius. We've also added a new crosshair that allows for better visibility while firing. Menu Improvements We've added a settings menu that allows you to set music volume and moved the reset button from the main screen into the new menu. We've added a confirmation dialog before resetting the game to the beginning, Leaderboard We've added a leaderboard for the summer infinity challenge. Achievements & Stats We've added 6 Steam achievements with more to come. Economy Balancing Since the new Infinity Challenges represent a mechanism for potentially generating large amounts of credits, we have reduced the rewards in
We are making a lot of progress towards our June release. Along with bugfixes, there are some major updates in the works: Exciting New Gun Play We are testing updates that remove the cool down on your burst cannon. Massive Enemy Ship Animation Rework In the first versions, enemy ship movement was done through animations. These looked okay most of the time, but were occasionally awkward and always time consuming. We are replacing these with spline based movement which gives the game and altogether smoother feeling. We will roll these out on a per-level mode. All New Game Mode Along with the campaign play, we are adding new modes that will extend the gameplay. The first mode is called 'Infinity Mode', which will pit you against infinite waves of progressively more difficult game play. We will roll these out as special summer events. Steam Achievements & Leaderboards We are currently working on Steam achievements for campaign modes and leaderboards for the new Infinity mode. We will roll these out starting next month.
