Changelog for v0.2.5
2020-05-28
Bug Fixes:
- When looking from the stair room to the great hall, performance would drop on some machines. This was due to lighting. I've reduced the quality of far away lighting to fix this.
- After updating the enemy AI, many enemies stopped attacking, this should be fixed.
- Baddies would sometimes pause or stop moving for a while and then walk again, this should be fixed.
- Opening the menu in single player now pauses the game.
- While playing single player there is no longer a timeout between waves.
- When a user goes into the debug log, give a message telling them how to get out.
- Network errors were only being reported in the log, now you should get a prominent message and a button to exit on error. This isn't very elegant but it conveys the information you need.
- The player should no longer look like it is floating on awkward terrain.
Enhancements:
- I've added a new forest level to play around in. This is snagged straight from a demo scene and simply has a survive to win victory condition.
- New sound effects are added for: engineer, giant, ghoul, scavenger and zombie. Great work StormPlooper!
- The weapon select UI now lets you drag and drop weapons into position rather than assign them at runtime.
- Modified one of the dummies to spin around w/ a sword and shield.
- Fixed the graveyard spawning so zombies/ghouls now spawn above the tree and tumble down when damage is dealt to a gravestone.
- Enable the reticle by default.
- Known Significant Issues:
- #19 Baddies do not use throw attacks when expected. (again)

- Knockback: The Awakening Linux [844.58 M]
You and your adventurous buddies are experimenting with some magical trinkets after your last quest when you hear moaning in the forest. You turn and see a hideous bug-eyed zombie wielding a copper frying pan and charging right at you. Instinctively, you throw a nearby rock at the undead creature — and down he goes!
“Hey, that was kinda FUN. What happens if I combine a rock and sticky snail snot?“
This first-person wave defense game is built for maximum fun for one, or groups of two, three, or four. Knockback is filled with magical weapons that enable you to eliminate zombies in your own personal ways. Work with your buddies and have fun defending against hordes of zombies, keep from being overwhelmed, last out all the rounds, and kill the boss for the win. And it’s all about how you do it!
Knockback is a physics sandbox that challenges you to ask yourself “how many ways can I destroy the zombies?” Go ahead play with fire! Throw ’em into a building or smash ’em with a log rolling down a hill. Wanna suck the zombies into a tight ball and zap ‘em with lightning? You can do that. Rain down sticky stones of fire onto their heads? Gotcha covered. Hit ‘em with a giant rolling stone that bowls down the baddies? Go for it!
Now get out there and stick a snail snot rock to an unsuspecting zombie chin!
