I wanted it to be April 1st, but real life stuff got in the way. This is a wildly oddly political game. I started writing it straight off the election of last year, when I was wondering why I was working a seasonal part-time job rather than volunteering at a food bank or a call center.
Don't miss these discounts! They won't be around until the next sale! Only a few more days!
The Steam Spring Sale is here once again to terrorize your wallet.
Geeks 2: Staying 99 cents, but we will be adding *some sort of* substantial content update to justify the price. As well as a content DLC.
Scarecrows of Illyria: The new script and BG patch will probably be hitting before December.
Halloween Retail 4: Still on track for maybe before late July.
Game #2 2025: May slip to 2026. We'll see.
Tentacle Prawn DLC: Possibly December.
And a few tagalong games as well! You, see, this is what we call 'capitalism'.
Nine years and two Shakespeare plays away from adapting every single one of the Bard's works into a video game.
There's a price change incoming to Geeks 2. Right now, it's at 99 cents. We're trying to make it free. The reason being because we got all of the AI art out of the game, therefore we don't see the point in selling a game using entirely reused assets.
AI has no use in art, and the fact that we let it slip by was naive, stupid, incredibly brazen, and entirely unprofessional.
We're going to be publishing some new donation DLC (most likely next month), which most likely will include some new scenes using new assets.
Gather your team! Hunt some monsters! Make costumes out of those monsters and sell them to the public! We decided to pull the Super Spooky series away from the Furries & Scalies franchise because we wanted it to be its own thing. It's Halloween, it deserves that, right?
All of the new backgrounds are in for Scarecrows of Illyria, and we're having a new writer's room/production meeting this weekend to discuss tweaks to the current story. We just felt like, as we were getting rid of the AI art, we also could update the narrative as well.
While we do not want to give an actual date for the new version of the game to actually drop, we do want to express that it should be out before the end of the year. There are just a few other projects for 2025 that came up in the meantime.
So the 2025 slate pretty much looks like:
- Game 2025 #1
- Game 2025 #2 (which might be ready to have a Coming Soon page up by next week, who knows)
- Scarecrows of Illyria rewrite
- Tentacle Prawn DLC
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1877720/Army_of_Tentacles_Assault_on_Rainbow_Unicorn_Island/?curator_clanid=33017070
Hooray! A new Army of Tentacles is out! This one has no subtitle! Well, it does, it's just not.... yeah, it's different. As stated before, the VO will come later in either a free DLC or a patch. We might go with a free DLC just to have data on player retention.
Given the current political climate, probably could have gone with a title change.
We've wanted to do a Trojan War play ever since the first Sexy Centaurs, but always got sidetracked. Now, we present to you..... the Greeks versus the Rainbow Unicorns! Who will become Troy's ruler? Is something rotten in Denmark because there's a Hamlet character in this? Find out in this video game that has a very light but deadly (LBD) combat system!
It's the immortal works of Shakespeare together at last with the Cthulhu Mythos!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1877720/Army_of_Tentacles_Assault_on_Rainbow_Unicorn_Island/
So. Time to talk turkey.
Army of Tentacles: Assault on Rainbow Unicorn Island is going to come out next Tuesday.
This game in no way should have taken as long as it did to come out. But that's the life of an indie dev company, especially if you want full VO in your game.
The game's VO will be patched in at a later date. We already lost one backup of the VO files, and now the secondary may very well perish in the San Diego fires.
I'd rather not worry about video game bullshit right now. I'd rather focus on making sure my team is safe and not burning to cinders, or wondering where they are going to live in a few days. I'd rather they focus on that. Hell, they would rather they focus on that.
So, VO will be patched in at a later date.
Large game bundles will be disabled for all future official Steam Sales that have the ridiculous Sale Trading Card mechanic. These are just easy targets for those that are just buying and mass refunding games in order to get Sale Cards.

ohmygodthestorepageisup.
I'll be taking a nap.
We have Furry Shakespeare: To Date or Not To Date Cat Girls? 2 on sale for the first time in forever.
Without going into my personal junk, about five to six life events hit me at the end of last year, one of which I had been prepping for. I/We already had decided to only work on Dinosaur Cousin Squad until it was ready for internal beta testers (which should be in the next few weeks), but with everything else that hit, it left me very emotionally drained. That and then you add in the Brain Fog, a loving reminder of my two bouts with COVID-19.
The point is that I'm thinking of moving Spooky Cat Girls 2 to later, if not Halloween 2025. Army of Tentacles: Assault on Unicorn Island, if not out by then, would take its place as the Halloween 2024 game. I do not think there is any reason other than current lethargy that AoT: Unicorns would land on Halloween 2024.
Cat Girls: IMT is looking good, but as stated, DCS takes priority, and even if we barreled through it before SDCC in late July, we still wouldn't feel comfortable releasing it until at least December, if not later (for personal reasons as well as wishlists).
We might do some weird, smaller game after DCS level rough draft is done but before SDCC. AoT: Christmas Edition has been thrown around just cause we were playing Lemmings: Christmas Edition last night. It would probably use the remaining art for Tentacle Prawn that we just never ended up using.
Our second Rotation Sale of the year. Promo art late, as usual.
We're going to start doing smaller rotational sales of all our products.
We're trying out Rotation Sales. So, instead of just selling lots of stuff, we're only selling some stuff at a time.
Army of Tentacles: (Not) A Cthulhu Dating Sim 2 is on sale for the first time ever! Boy howdy! Complete the set!
While progress on Dinosaur Cousin Squad is going well (despite hitting an error as soon as we booted up the base code for the first time as one complete package), we were able to at least get a good foothold on two of the final four Paper Shakespeare games while waiting on the base code. We are very happy to be able to share the store pages with you today:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2762590/Furry_Shakespeare_To_Date_Or_Not_To_Date_Cat_Girls_If_Made_Today
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2757940/Furry_Shakespeare_To_Date_Or_Not_To_Date_Spooky_Cat_Girls_2
Cat Girls? If Made Today isn't a remake, but rather, a reimagining of the game if it was made with the game dev know-how that we have now, and with the storytelling and gameplay that we want to do. This is the first Cat Girls game as if it was completely unconnected to the other games, as the Keegan Quinn/Multiverse BS storyline is over.
Spooky Cat Girls 2?! is another experimental title: it is three spooky games in one. The first is the titular Spooky Cat Girls, the second is a Cthulhu Dating Sim that we've been calling the Dark Souls of Visual Novels, and the third is our Kaiju game.
Neither have solid dates yet, as we need to both launch Army of Tentacles: Assault on Rainbow Unicorn Island, as well as dedicate our time to finishing up Dinosaur Cousin Squad in time for Christmas - or before.
We hope you enjoy.
Until March 14th. So not weekly. Well, technically weekly.

Guess who forgot to put up this news update this morning? To be fair: there was a doctor's appointment.
January 20th - February 3rd To Date Or Not To Date Cat Girls: 50% Off Dinosaur Shakespeare: 25% Off
Unicorns has been delayed due to the world being on fire.
The mad quest to make a game for every Shakespeare play is swiftly reaching its promised end, with the first being Army of Tentacles: Assault on Rainbow Unicorn Island. After that, maybe we can sleep.
Two are scheduled for the end of 2024, but the majority of work on those will commence after Dinosaur Cousin Squad has dropped. We don't yet know when that one will have a Store Page up, but we assume within the next few months. Both games were being prepped while Dinosaur Cousin Squad was being worked on, but DCS progress has hit a few fun new snags, so we might be able to finish before proper level clean-up is set to begin in a few months.
The final two are set for early and late 2025. One is a collaboration, and the other is another new engine, new genre game..... this time: a tRPG deck builder. In layman's terms, a party based tactical RPG with a card system. We've very recently begun pre-production and asset buy on that one.
Store pages for at least two of the final four adaptations will be popping up after Rainbow Unicorn Island drops on the 23rd.

Out now, along with a patch that fixes some character story repeats.
So, for a few smaller games in the past (including tomorrow's Dinos Shakespeare 2 DLC), we have used AI backgrounds. We had both in-house discussions about it, as well as extensively made sure that the singular artist we used for said games was being ethical in what she fed her AI. Scarecrows came out, and at the time, we assumed the generated art was made using the same level of care (as their prior art that we used from the same artist was painted), and while we have no reason to believe otherwise and do not wish to slander said artist, we will be working to attain new background art for Scarecrows. This might look like a combination of new and existing art or it might be new art altogether. Regardless, it will not happen overnight. We will not be using AI art of any kind in any future games. We apologize to both our fellow developers as well as our customers for any ill will gained via our actions.
Dinosaur Shakespeare's sequel-DLC (and final DLC) comes out tomorrow! We changed the gamjeplay up a bit because, when we got down to it, the stuff we had planned just was not working.
Anyways, hope you all like it.

AoT: Unicorns has been moved to January.
Hope everyone had a safe night!
Obviously, AoT: Unicorns is not out. It's my fault. I did not number the lines in the script for easier VO input. I'm a dork.
We here at the office hope that everyone has a very safe and happy Halloween!
Due to increased stress due to family medical issues and my own medical issues, Dinosaur Cousin Squad has been delayed until sometime next year. We're fast tracking a game that we intended to work on for next Halloween in order to fill its place, as well as working on the DLC sequels that we were going to do for early next year.
DCS could potentially be done by the rest of the team, but because it is the first game of ours in a new genre and engine, plus since I originally started making it as a Christmas present for my younger cousins, I'm trying to be as hands-on as I possibly can be. That just is not possible given my current stress levels from real life currently coming at me from all sides.
I promised them this game two Christmas Day's ago. Ugh. Well, it's going to be great when it comes out. This also gives us the chance to give the game a decent lead-in with a Coming Soon page, rather than just putting one up a few weeks before launch during the busiest time of the year.
So there's the trick. The treats are coming soon.

1) Dinosaur Cousin Squad/Scarecrows Update: The office is once again COVID free, but I myself am on a new pre-surgery diet and exercise routine to, hopefully, finally get done with medical crud once and for all. So what does this mean? We're working on Scarecrows as well as the first draft of Dino Squad's 25 levels. But we're going one scene/level a day for each. Dino Squad is still on track for the end of 2023. Scarecrows might actually be ready by the end of the month (given testing, etc.). 2) Aot: Unicorns: Halloween release depends on if we have all voice lines in and fully edited by then.

Due to a combination of factors:
1) Surgery recovery.
2) Family life events.
3) Quality dev cycles for various products. We redid the schedule today, and feel like we have a better grip on when exactly we can work on what specific projects.
4) Dinosaur Cousin Squad being a new genre and a new engine.
Unless otherwise specified, everything already not in production is going to be pushed to 2024. Geeks: Miller Cut, Illyria, and Rainbow Island are all 90% done and still expected to be able to be completed in a relatively short amount of time.
Everything else is non-priority at this point and is going to be 2024.
It's almost that time again! Which means it is that time again!

Announcing Dinosaur Shakespeare 2!
Dinosaur Shakespeare is back, in DLC form!
Why a DLC-sequel? Besides financial reasons (paying the Steam App ID for a full title wouldn't be that wise right now), a DLC allows us to still put out a sequel while experimenting with new, yet more compact, gameplay styles for a future iteration in a bigger game set with the Dino Shakes universe. It lets us make a smaller Dino Shakes game, while still working on the larger projects of the year.
That and we wanted to.

Look! A game! I'm amazing! Right before surgery, too! I deserve, like, fifty Gold Medals. Enjoy this quaint jaunt, straddling the lines between the Paper Shakespeare world and the Army of Tentacles world.
Scarecrows of Illyria is coming sometime next month.
It's early, yeah, but I'm also gonna be getting surgery bills soon.
This one is also a two-parter, with the main meat - the Barnacle Meat, if you are classy enough to watch Succession - coming next month.
First off, it's really ridiculous that we finally got out the final Army of Tentacles. Yes, Unicorns is coming later, and Tentacle Prawn technically counts as a spin-off in the same way that the Mythos games do, but for all mentally stressful purposes, the trilogy is over.
Yes, that feels weird, considering the series began in 2016 and the recodes are still being worked on. Army 3's recode now only has 20 Arguments, and even though we're working on Dinosaur Cousin Squad exclusively after March ends, not working on any other projects is going to free up time to finish those.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1082690/Army_of_Tentacles_Not_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim_2
Next up is Tentacle Prawn, which is a mix of Paper Shakespeare/Army of Tentacles.....
Internally, we've been referring to it as Army of Tentacles 4, even though it's... really not an entry in the main arc. It has.... stuff in it, and it really is a true mixture of the two worlds, but it is its own thing entirely.
It's going to go live early April.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1727790/Tentacle_Prawn_Actually_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim
Hey, everyone! Army of Tentacles: (Not) A Cthulhu Dating Sim 2 is out now because my hotel internet works! Happy Valentine's Day? I feel like I should write a larger post, but I've been in the air for six hours. The last game in the storyarc that started six years ago and meandered and survived due entirely to whimsy is finally here! The AoT 1 recode was put on hold, but now it should be starting up again next week. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1082690/Army_of_Tentacles_Not_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim_2/
There's currently an error where if you lose a battle, you actually win. We're working on it.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2153400/Scientifically_Accurate_Dinosaur_Mating_Simulator_2022_American_Revolution_1775__1786
Plus, a few release dates have shifted due to a very nasty flu. Not sure if it is Long COVID or just a really despicable bug.
AoT 2 is now March, and we're still debating when Tentacle Prawn will come out. It'll either release same month as AoT 2 or Rainbow Unicorn Island. We're trying to find a balance between financial sense and thematic sense.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2219720/Furry_Shakespeare_Dashing_Dinosaurs__Sexy_Centaurs_Winters_Tale_2
We're only eight games away from finishing our mad quest of adapting every Shakespeare play into a video game. Well, more than eight actual plays, but like Rainbow Hollow, we've got some tomfoolery up our sleeves.
So, not only are we planning on a third and final game in the main Army of Tentacles trilogy next year, we're also planning two spin-offs in the Paper Shakespeare universe. Shakespeare and Lovecraft, together at last.
We have sort of an ongoing storyline through all our games, and so far, it's been most apparent in the Paper Shakespeare/Furry Shakespeare ones. There's some reality/multiverse jank that's been threading through the games, which was have been affectionately calling The Multiverse BS (no, we only started calling it that when Marvel started calling their current films The Multiverse Saga). So, the idea here is that Army of Tentacles 2 will end that storyline and the next two games will showcase the consequences of a new reality being born.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1727790/Tentacle_Prawn_Actually_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim
It's all led up to this. Kind of. Maybe.
Combining the quest and battle mechanics of prior Army of Tentacles games with the magnanimousness of a college dating sim.
Expect to see it before summer.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1877720/Army_of_Tentacles_Assault_on_Rainbow_Unicorn_Island
Army of Tentacles is over. Long live Army of Tentacles.
The first game, but reimagined as Shakespeare's Trojan War play. Perry, Riley, Webster, Thatcher, Apocalypse Bunny, and more are on a quest to push back the invading Greeks and save their home.
Our first fully-voiced game since 2016. Expect it sometime..... later.
We had a few game announcements to make - we're seriously cutting down on content produced in 2023. But we have some announcements that we *think* round out next year alongside the already announced 2023 games.
But we felt Halloween was not the right time to make those announcements. We want as many eyeballs on us as possible (or as is possible for a small indie outfit), and we felt that Halloween Day was not the day to make such annoucements.
So tomorrow.
BUT.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1923621/Embers_of_the_Zombie_Battlemage_Halloween_Real_Werewolves_of_Massachusetts
Here's a small content DLC for Embers of the Zombie Battlemage that we cooked up over the weekend, adding a new Guest Path throughout the entire game. What are Guest Paths? Well, they are like Johnny Handsome in the idea that they are complete character arcs, but for guests. You'll need to figure out what section they'll pop up in each Act, though. We're not giving out Halloween treats in the form of spoilers.
The spooky scary Halloween sale is on now! 31 products are on sale, ranging from 15% to 69% off!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1727200/Kittens_in_PostApocalyptic_Fantasy_San_Francisco_Battle_School_for_Only_the_Most_Awesome_Monsters/ Get it while it is hot.
First off, why the delay? I finally got COVID-19. The silver lining here is that most of the teams for the next few games already work remote, and Kittens in SF is basically 98% finished. Which sounds relatively easy, but I have never felt this lethargic and aimless with any other cold or flu that I've had the chance of catching. There are maybe fifteen minute windows where I feel good enough to work on the game, but then those pass and I can't even think straight. Even with those fifteen minute windows, my body is constantly fluctuating between extreme hot and extreme cold. I can't talk, I can't smell, and while I still retain my sense of taste, it's dull in most areas but extremely punctuated in others. It's super weird. But wait, it's not all doom and gloom! While the game may be delayed, it won't be delayed that long, as I'll be out of isolation next week and plugging away to get you, the general public, your yum-yums. At the very least, I'll probably take this time to finish up work on some future store pages so we can announce some new products in the interim. Who knows. If you can, please get vaccinated. I have a mild case, but knowing it is a mild case, I would not want anyone to experience a full-on case of COVID. Because I can't even begin to imagine what that feels like. I also am still deep in recovery from a prior surgery, so these two factors combined are..... not great. The Halloween Retail Season sale is still on if you feel so inclined.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1919090/Embers_of_the_Zombie_Battlemage_Halloween
Kinda a reboot of Spooky Scary Halloween Spooky Times, kinda a sequel. This time in a Halloween theme park. It has the usual Guest Events, but now there is a combat section to gameplay as well.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1923530/Scarecrows_of_Illyria
What started as a DLC for Furries & Scarecrows has snowballed into its own thing.
We were going to announce these two with a special game that we had been working on for a few months, but that's not ready for a store page quite yet.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1727200/Kittens_in_PostApocalyptic_Fantasy_San_Francisco_Battle_School_for_Only_the_Most_Awesome_Monsters/
Game's been delayed until August due to a combination of family gatherings at the end of July. Thought we'd be able to get it out, but it came down to just not feeling comfortable launching it and then leaving for a bit.
As Samuel J. Jackson once said, hold on to your wallets.
Kittens in Post-Apocalyptic Fantasy San Francisco is now launching on July 20th!
Amy of Tentacles 2 has been changed to February 15th, since that is the day that the first AoT launched. Time is a flat circle.
We thought Kittens in SF would be launched by now, so we set up a launch sale. It's not.
Here's the launch sale anyway.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1962990/Scientifically_Accurate_Dinosaur_Mating_Simulator_2021_Ankylosauridae/ Thus ends the month of stuff. Kittens in SF is hopefully going to be ready and in testing by the surgery date, in prep for a June release, but we'll see.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1824590/Furry_Shakespeare_Two_Incredibly_Ripped_Absolutely_Shredded_Noble_Kinsmen Out now.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1727200/Kittens_in_PostApocalyptic_Fantasy_San_Francisco_Battle_School_for_Only_the_Most_Awesome_Monsters
This is possibly our weirdest Shakespeare adaptation yet.
It's Othello. But it's also set in a world of monster fighting. Also: collecting. So, monster fighting and collecting. You do both.
This is our first game with a new main gameplay mechanic in six years that's not just choice menu based. It was scary. Hopefully, you all like it. Because we plan on using it for the next few titles.
We've been waiting to show off some of these art assets for years. That's how game dev works sometimes. None of these were originally supposed to be mashed together, but you can't argue with the result.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1920890/Paper_Shakespeare_To_Date_Or_Not_To_Date_2_Halloween_Edition Just an outfit pack. Get it while it's hot.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1824590/Furry_Shakespeare_Two_Incredibly_Ripped_Totally_Shredded_Noble_Kinsmen[img]
We were thinking about this for November, but that thing we were clearing the board for won't be done until April, annnnnnnnd we just got in a battle system for an unannounced game that we are {i}very happy with{/i}, plus we want to give the post-summer RPGs room to breathe....
So. Kinsmen is gonna be our game for Renpy Month, and then we'll work on the final three.
It's a narrative and choice based politics sim. We almost backburnered it because of the crap that is happening in the world. It takes place in the old school Elsinore Academy, but we felt the gameplay was different enough from the past Elsinore Academy games to warrant it.
To celebrate Furries & Scalies & Scarecrows launching, the first two games in the trilogy are on sale.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1152200/Furry_Shakespeare_Loves_Lizards_Lost This marks the last of our pre-summer games. Probably. Maybe.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1811920/Planetkillerz_death_of_a_world_in_five_acts I rather do like this whole "adapting games of old plays" gig. Here it is. I'm going back to sleep.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1800080/Furries__Scalies__Scarecrows_OH_MY Was going to wait until the sale is over, but then again, February is absolutely packed with releases. Thought it best to release now.
Much like Joe Papp (okay, EXACTLY like The Ghost of Joe Papp), this also was a play written in college. I decided to adapt it as a game because it felt like material that I wanted to revisit given I had just received some really horrible news. It helped me process the stuff that I was feeling inside, and the game itself goes over topics like death, religion, and mass planetary extinction events.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1811920/Planetkillerz_death_of_a_world_in_five_acts
If you or anyone you know is approached by anyone from Stegalosaurus claiming to be a part of a Counter-Strike tournament, do not click the link. It is a scam. I mean, we wouldn't be in a CS tourney anyway, but not everyone would know that. This also goes for, I guess, anyone in general. If you get a random, out-of-the-blue message about CS GO, don't fall for it.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1082690/Army_of_Tentacles_Not_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim_2
We've updated the Army 2 store page. Changed the name of the game as to avoid super confusion. Does this mean we're no longer doing the other Army of Tentacles game?
Well, for that, you'll have to wait and see, but we figured out how to make it so both Army 2 and our other Furry Shakespeare RPG build up to a final AoT game (in the main storyline, I guess). We're very excited.
Happy new year!
Happy new year's eve! Stay safe out there tonight. There are gonna be a lot of drunk drivers. Do not be one of them.

Happy holidays, everyone!
Merry Christmas to those that celebrate!
We'll be rolling out store pages for the 2022 crop soon, but here's a preview of our intended releases:
1. Another adaptation of a play I wrote in college, much in the same vein as Ghost of Joe Papp. Expect it Early February/Late January.
2. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1800080/Furries__Scalies__Scarecrows_OH_MY
Launching right before our 6th year of being in business/not going out of business.
3. A Furry Shakespeare RPG with a fun new combat mechanic. Late May.
4.
Six years and the third game later, behold the second game in the Army of Tentacles trilogy. Taking place parallel to the events of the first two games, you are thrust into the role of the B Team - the misfits responsible for ending the world if Perry and their crew failed to do so.
October.
5. A Furry Shakespeare Election Sim just in time for the November USA elections.
So, two RPGs and a few dating sims.
Dino Simulator 2021 goes live on Xmas Eve! We have a new crop of games to announce shortly after!
It's the official Steam Autumn Sale! Go, go, go! But that's not all....
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1800080/Furries__Scalies__Scarecrows_OH_MY
Up first in for our 2022 slate is the third Furries & Scalies & Bears game. It's going to be a semi-return to form, as Furries & Bears 2 was a massive departure from the gameplay department of Furries & Bears 1. There's a bit of farming. It'll be a thing. Still VN format.
We plan on four games in 2022, as opposed to the slew of context that has been put out in 2020-2021.

We have added a fancy new biz Twitter to our dev page on Steam. Follow us for all the sporadic game updates you can handle!
Halloween is the best.
I can't find candy in stores anymore. It's not even October.
Doing things isn't easy.
Video games are hard, as someone once said I forget who, but it's an actual quote. I think it may be from an executive. I dunno.
Being a niche indie company is hard.
Hired a new writer for Spooky Cat Girls?'s classroom scenes when it became clear that it would not make a reasonable launch date for October. It was either launch directly before the Halloween sale (and this was hoping Valve would accept the final build on the first submission, never something a designer should bet on) or delay it, and we chose to delay it. We feel December also fits in with the theme of the chosen play.
Super Army of Tentacles has always been my baby, but it's gone through so many changes, due to gameplay as well as personal reasons, that I feel a disconnect with it. Rather than make a tentpole game that I do not want to make, I handed it off to another team member for a 2023 release. This would be the first Army of Tentacles game not helmed by me, which is exciting as I 100% trust my team and think it is time that we all grow in that fashion. We've been alive almost five-point-something years now.
In the place of Super Army of Tentacles, I plan on making a new, full VN-RPG Army of Tentacles game. I feel much more confident about this one, and it will launch at the same time that Super Army 2022 would have. That will be announced soon, maybe with the other 2022 games. Maybe not. Who knows.
Making games is hard.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1585460/Furry_Shakespeare_Oops_All_Dragons Only two more games to go this year. Maybe a few Halloween surprises. This is a sort of sequel to Sexy Centaurs in the same way Emperor Penguin Lear was.
Moved all the Joe Papp games into the Paper Shakespeare bundle, and now they make up two more Merchant of Venice games in the list of Shakespeare games we're making/have made.
- CHANGED: Limit on rollback for players - DELETED: Old Easy Mode code
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1512370/Furry_Shakespeare_Dreamin_of_One_Lazy_Dead_Midsummer Out now. This one is very near and dear to us, and to me, because it was an idea that I had been mulling around way back in the wee year of 2017. So it was important for us to put an idea together for Midsummer Night's Dream that resonated. The concept of the summer camp slasher movie seemed like a fantastic juxtaposition to the play's theme of young (and naive) love. Next up: Oops! All Dragons! might be rearing its head for a late August launch, as the spine of that gameplay loop is already done.
We decided on this sale when it was looking like COVID was getting under control over here, and people would start returning to work in-person. I still remember last year, seeing the ads for Halloween stores that were opening and wondering "why the heck would people go to a store during a pandemic where they know for a fact that an entire body has touched the wares?".
Still. It's a magical time of the year where we get ready for the final three months of the year. Halloween Retail Season doesn't just mark the coming of the next big holiday, it marks the beginning of the end. So get out those wallets and celebrate the way Capitalism wants you to!
So, we're putting the finishing touches on Midsummer, and without going into the gory details, a large chunk of the gameplay was vaporized from existence: the weekly slasher competitions. We still have the endgame slasher segment, and we have changed the game's story to put focus on an endgame segment rather than multiple slasher sections. We feel this is important as an announcement because our store page used to have language directly implying multiple sections throughout the game.
The silver lining here is that we feel that the focus on a singular slasher section rather than multiple improves the general gameplay and story, as well as the "unique aspect" of such a section existing in the story itself. It was either that or delay the game for something that we now feel would have hurt the gameplay rather than added to it.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1701430/Mythos_Ever_After_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim_RX___Other_Soundtracks_from_2021
So, it's not only the soundtrack for Mythos RX, but for every single 2021 game as well! As long as it does not have a dedicated OST DLC of its own, it is in here!
There are even some from games that have yet to be released!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1579950/Mythos_Ever_After_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim_RX Mythos Ever After: A Cthulhu Dating Sim RX is out today, on what would be the first day of a physical San Diego Comic-Con. My goal with this game was to make a short, inexpensive, and generally fun title that encompassed all of the "stuff" that normally goes on at an in-person pop arts convention. Like Super Halloween Times, it does get a bit dark in places because some of the content is based on real stuff. You know, besides all of the monsters. All data points to a 99-cent game selling, but like most of the stuff we do, it's an experiment. Of course, experimenting is hard to do when you're a small indie dev working on niche titles, but the risk on this particular title was pretty low. So we went for it. Enjoy.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1627740/SHAKESPEARE_More_like_THIRSTspeare_amirite Thirstspeare is out now! Venture forth as you, a young indie dev, must make a video game adaptation of Shakespere's first play, Two Gentlemen of Verona! It is less meta than it sounds. The first of two small summer games. The next is Mythos Ever After RX, launching on the 20th, which is what would be the first day of San Diego Comic-Con, were it being physically held at the center this year.
Recently, we got a new web hosting service, and as such, have a new tech support e-mail:
support@stegalosaurus.com
Good news as well! We're now in the permanent new office, and as such, won't have to do the delays that we thought we were going to have to do!
We also are hard at work pre-planning the planning phase of the store pages for 2022's other two games, one of which is another RPG to go alongside Super Army of Tentacles. There's discussion on whether or not we should release the new RPG next to Super Army of Tentacles, and if we do that, SAoT will probably move to October. But there's also the fact that an unexpected expense means our plans for Said RPG could mean it is now 2023, and we would just continue chipping at our Shakespeare slate with smaller games.
Yes, this would have worked so much better as a May 4th announcement. Missed that golden opportunity. Hey! Guess what? We're actually gonna stick to schedule this time!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1349170/Furries__Scalies__Bears_OH_MY_2_Return_to_Kale_Bay
So. Dunno if this announcement is really warranted. Just want to let people know what is going on. Super Army of Tentacles: (Not) A Cthulhu Dating Sim has three main mechanics: skills/attributes, Word Battles, and Armies. Well, it did. See, I started work on the project when things were.... let's say, different in the USA, and that, in turn, fueled the direction of the thing. We had already wanted to do something new with AoT 1's army mechanic, but do it better than the first game. Do it with all the game dev we had learned over the years since we've started. So I felt that my internal anger was a good fuel for said mechanic. Who doesn't love a good 'throw out the bad guys' story? While the main story of the game is still 'the humans somehow occupied Monster Land', after recent events, I just don't feel good about a mechanic where you pre-meditatively build up militias to take over areas. We talked about this, and the bottom line is that we feel that even though the Army mechanic would have been solid, it would have taken away from the main gameplay loop of the first two games. Even though there was a final Invasion mechanic in the first game, the way you recruited your army was never the focal point. The focals were the Word Battles. At the end of the day, real people make games, and we don't want to be making a game that we feel isn't up to snuff or is pushed in two different directions. This is the last in the trilogy for us. We know more now and want to do it right, as both a stand alone title and a series cap. This also allows us to put greater focus on the idea of reactivity to your choices in the world's hubs. Which is cool. I'm writing this because, even though it wasn't the selling point of the game or even showcased in screenshots or the trailer, it was in the initial store description and there were shots of it in the trailer and on the screenshot gallery. We've already updated the gallery, but will also be updating the trailer shortly. This really doesn't affect the already delayed release date of 2022. If anything, it clarifies a release date. If anything, at max what it means is this will release post-summer 2022, but I honestly don't think that's a concern.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1349170/Furries__Scalies__Bears_OH_MY_2_Return_to_Kale_Bay We hope you enjoy the sequel. We thought it would be the last FASABOH!, but we have something in the back of our heads that itching. As always, depends on how well this one does. This dev cycle was odd, as this sequel is not under the commission that the original was. It's entirely on our own. It was weird going back to a world that was, at the start, not entirely ours.
Meant to post this sooner, but I have been super sleepy thanks to the COVID shot. I am very glad that I got it, though. Furry Shakespeare has a DLC that is 20% off starting tomorrow, not today, and that was an error on our part.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1312380/Paper_Shakespeare_Very_Naked_Hamlet It's here. The oddest game we've ever made, and probably the only of its kind. Unless it does well.
Paper Shakespeare: Very Naked Hamlet Release!
Next week, Very Naked Hamlet is releasing. Monday, March 8th, to be exact. A Valentine's Day release would have been swell, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.
Army of Tentacles 3 stickers!
We've submitted a set of four AoT 3 stickers for review, and we'll let you all know when those hit. If they do well, we'll be doing the same for AoT 1. These, sadly, will not be available for the Black GOAT Editions, as those are technically separate products.
Time has flown. It seems like, just yesterday, we were making dating sims based off of the works of William Shakespeare and RPGs out of Lovecraft lore. Old team members left, new team members joined, and we've just generally had a blast making small, weird games for y'all. We're working hard at getting back to more medium-sized RPG/Viz Novel hybrids, and that's sort of what is on the docket to talk about in this news announcement.
Due to reasons that we won't be going into, the main office is going to be moving twice this year. Because of this, as well as other factors revolving around Super Army of Tentacles' assets, we will be moving it to early 2022. We wanted February 15th, as that is the release date of the first AoT, but alas, that also presumably would fall within the range of the 2022 Lunar New Year Sale (maybe not, as LNY 2022 is Feb. 1st).
So, rather than release after Halloween 2021, straight in the middle of the Three Sale Gauntlet (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Winter), which would be an extremely uncertain launch window, we're going to delay Super Army of Tentacles and push up everything else.
Starting with....
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1312380/Paper_Shakespeare_Very_Naked_Hamlet
This game came to us from one of the newer team members, and in the spirit of trying new things, and because we're huge theater geeks if you couldn't tell, we're doing an adults only Shakespeare VN. We write words that are big and adult. But you have to know Hamlet in order to see them.
New Release Date: Late February - March 2021

New Release Date: Early 2022
You know, when you're moving cross-country and you have horrible internet that won't be fixed for a few days, and the office is a mess, and you have little contact with the rest of the team, things happen.
Things like not realizing the Steam sale started this morning and you just figured it out via a combination of checking your phone messages and looking on Twitter to see that Steam is trending.
I imagine Ted Lasso giving that speech. Maybe over darts.
Okay, so, brass tacks:
The 2020 Steam Lunar New Year Sale is on now until it's not! Then, when THAT sale is done, boy oh boy oh golly, do we have a surprise for you that's not actually a surprise at all! Our Happy Five Years of Not Going Out Of Business Sale is hitting! Most of our games are on sale this month, including some of our 2019 lot! But not the back half of 2020.
We made.... a lot of stuff in 2020. That was a rush. We have two more Furry Shakespeare games to announce for the back half of 2021, but those announcements will either be around August or September, if those two games don't slip to Early 2022.
We would like to wish everyone a happy Lunar New Year.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1512370/Furry_Shakespeare_Dreamin_of_One_Lazy_Dead_Midsummer
Midsummer has been a play that we've wanted to adapt for years. It started out as a "lol this is the perfect dating sim" idea, then sort of merged with the fact that everyone that gets together in camp movies dies by the hands of an iconic movie slasher. Figuring out how to make a game about slashers without really making it a game about flat-out murder was tough, so we sort of went in a Cabin in the Woods angle with it.
Also: is that a new UI for a Paper Shakespeare game? Will wonders never cease?

This time with 10000% more Christmas. Building upon the mechanics of the first game, and expanding them, this sequel should be perfect for anyone that sees a Christmas commercial on October 31st and goes "why?".
aaaaaaaaaaaandddddddddd.....
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1082690/Super_Army_of_Tentacles_Not_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim
Super Army of Tentacles just got a brand new trailer!
Won't adding new games affect the other titles?
Just be glad that every new idea that pops into our heads is not being added.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1510940/Paper_Shakespeare_Stick_Merchant_of_Venice_Furry_Mode/
Seriously thought we had posted this.
Anyway. We've had some really wacky mental errors recently, from launching a DLC and forgetting to make a dev post, to forgetting to actually put something on sale on the same date as the last thing we put on sale, to writing incorrect discount. Those..... won't happen anymore.
We were going to wait to make this a post alongside all the other 2021 announcements (so next week), but then we decided to see what a DLC dev post does for business. Will it be business time?
Either way, this is the first new batch of content of the year. It was really fun to revisit Stick Merchant of Venice, but from a new angle.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1510940/Paper_Shakespeare_Stick_Merchant_of_Venice_Furry_Mode
So, Paper Shakespeare: Stick Merchant of Venice is getting a new DLC with new art and a new frame to the text of the play. It's going to be the same text of the play, and you will still have the options of choosing Modern or Shakesperian versions of said text.
We thought about making a new game, Furries of Venice, and we also thought about Furry alt outfit DLC for Joe Papp 2 (since it would 100% work in context of that game). But we ultimately decided to experiment and see if the stick figure games retain audience.
It will drop about the same time we announce the first of the three new 2021 games. It will be the same price as the base game.
We apologize for the error in the discount sale where we put down 75% for the Army 3 GOAT, but somehow, we only wrote down 15% when inputting the actual discount data on our end. This is something that should not have even been an "easy error to make", and we will be reviewing all of our discounts more closely in the future, sometimes even multiple times leading up to a sale.
We once again apologize for the inconvenience.
There was an error with Furries & Scalies & Bears OH MY! going on sale late, so it will join the last discount sale of the year tomorrow, and it will go until the 22nd.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/947080/The_Ghost_of_Joe_Papp_101_Ways_To_Kill_Writers_Block The sequel/rewrite to Ghost of Joe Papp is out now! This is perhaps our most meta-game yet.... as it's literally about writing a game/play. Co-written by K. Teagan Clark, this sequel/rewrite of The Ghost of Joe Papp, a 2017 release adapted from a college play, was both super fun to do and super frustrating. Hopefully, that frustration is fun to play through. I started this project to see if I still had a playwright in me, and to try to evolve the main story from where it was in 2017 while still keeping the core intact. The next game, and the first game of 2021, should be announced in early January, and is co-written by my sister. It is the Midsummer Night's Dream adaptation in our mad quest to adapt every single Shakespeare play to video game format.
Furries & Scalies & Bears OH MY! 2 has been moved so that it is launching either closer to or directly after Super Army of Tentacles: (Not) A Cthulhu Dating Sim.
One half of the reasoning behind this is because we wanted to give it more time to cook, and we had a much clearer vision for the two Furry Shakespeare games that were going to be our post-Army of Tentacles Winter 2021 games.
One of which is To Date or Not to Date Cat Girls? 2. The other is one that we had been talking about since 2016 and are all very excited about. We just didn't know what it was until now. We couldn't see it.
As these are games for an investor, we wanted to knock them out as soon and efficiently as possible while still launching good games. It's also that the Furry/Paper Shakespeare series has generally been more profitable than Furries & Scalies, so that's another reason. Had we all the time and money in the world, all three would be coming out before summer 2021, but that workload would eventually hurt Army of Tentacles 2021. Yes, one could bring up the claim that having an investor has affected us, but only in the sense of what products come first (and that honestly is the ideal situation). We're still making what we want to make next year. We still have creative freedom.
From everyone here at the office to all of you, have a very happy end of the year. Stay safe. Wear a mask. Have lots of Zoom parties with friends and family.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1431470/Mythos_Ever_After_A_Cthulhu_Dating_Sim What's this? A new Army of Tentacles game? Without any RPG elements? Just a straight dating sim? Are the GODS THEMSELVES JUST AND WISE? Well, here it is. Just in time for North American Halloween.
As well as the launch of our next game...
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1177650/Paper_Shakespeare_To_Date_or_Not_To_Date_2
The final three months of 2020 are going to see Very Naked Hamlet, The Ghost of Joe Papp 2, and possibly a stealth Halloween game.
Stealth as in we're gonna try to get it out by Halloween, but if we can't, we can't. I was busy taking the last week a half to recode Army of Tentacles: New Game+ Benefits, and got the itch to make a pure dating sim in the Army universe.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/828760/Paper_Shakespeare_The_Legend_of_Rainbow_Hollow I always wanted to do a self-drawn game, as well as an adventure point-and-click. Hand drawn as quick sketches, then scanned into the computer, and then re-done in the computer paint programs, this one was an experience. Not sure it's an experience I'd do again, but I'm glad that it finished. It also was the first try at a real puzzle game, and as such, I am super interested in hearing what works and what doesn't. The Shakespeare play that it is very thinly based on is actually five: the five "Problem Plays" of the Bard's portfolio, and it also kind of ties all of the past Stick Figure Paper Shakespeare games together. The game uses a new, more simplistic version of Army of Tentacles' Argument System, for a combo of puzzles and word battles. We might be using this in the future, but with a version that is a bit more buffed up. So, enjoy.
Ring in the start of the virtual school year with low, low prices.
Announcing the final 2020 games. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1349170/Furries__Scalies__Bears_OH_MY_2_Return_to_Kale_Bay Sequel to the first Furries/Bears, but can 100% be played as a stand-alone story. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1312380/Paper_Shakespeare_Very_Naked_Hamlet/ A silly little game where you need to know the entirety of Hamlet. It's like those learning to spell good games, but with sexytimes and Shakespeare. It was also a big back-and-forth for us, as it has text-based sex scenes baked in that go further than we've gone in a base game.
Starting at 9:55am.
