SRX 1.0 - Out of early-access ! Urban episode, vehicle models and leaderboards

KEY FEATURES


  • We are out of early access. It means that we see the game as stable and with enough content to considere it a full game. But it does not mean that we won't add new content in the future...
  • The store page now features a free demo
  • A new episode based in City environment is now available. Only players that obtained a few medals on other episodes can access it.
  • Some vehicles did not share the same graphic charts. There are now all low-poly and some default skins have been changed.
  • Online leaderboards are now live.

Beta 3.3 - Time Trial highlight, UX / UI and performance

KEY FEATURES


  • All multiplayer modes have been deactivated until further notice. The main mode, Time Trial, now allows players to register their score without connecting to a server. The leaderboard of each track are highlighted and can be displayed in many areas.
  • Due to working progress with the new leaderboard system, global ranking is disabled until the next update.
  • Visualize top ranked of friend players simply and directly inside the game. To each leaderboard entry is linked the vehicle used by the player and the ghost of the player ahead of you will be displayed when racing.
  • The main menu has been entirely redone, all menus and game modes are gathered and accessible from a single panel.
  • UI elements have been reviewed in all screens, becoming more effective and homogeneous.

Steam Cloud Setup

SRX now supports Steam Cloud and synchronize your records between your devices. The medal count and your ghosts will also be saved, preventing you from restarting the Solo campaign on each device.

Beta 3.0 - SRX redesign

We finally went for a specific graphic style! [previewyoutube=RussciJjjuM;full][/previewyoutube] Therefore, ALL environments and tracks have been replaced. New environments are centered on what we call "scenarios". Each scenario relates a story frozen in time, where the player can progress, in either fast-paced "Time Trial" races, every scenario element becoming an obstacle, in the "Exploration" mode where the player can hunt hidden treasures or in the contemplative mode "Free Play", without any goal or time limit...
In the solo campaign, tracks use the objects and characters of a scenario to plan their path. For a single scenario, you will find multiple tracks, travelling between the elements of this story frozen in time. Tracks are grouped into episodes, each track having its own difficulty. We are launching this update with an initiation episode, two main ones and a Bonus episode containing test tracks targeting the most courageous players.
We have many plans, resources and themes for the future! You may have noticed that the graphics not only changed but implied a new scale between the player and the environment. Vehicles are thus the size of big insects, turning a simple room into a wide playground.
New scale means new behaviour and we then took this opportunity to rebalance all vehicles, now close together in performance. Following your feedback, each vehicle now has its own behaviour, suitable for some tracks but behind other vehicles on others.
Finally, we are gradually giving importance to the Exploration mode, enhancing the treasure hunt system. For the moment, we reworked the user interface, giving more info about what to seek and their spawning area. We would like to quickly adding more fun and challenge to this mode by spawning objects only one player can grab for instance.

SRX is an arcade racing game in which the player pilots all types of flying vehicles.
At the moment, only two game modes are available:
  • Exploration where the player is free to fly with other players, seeking for hidden treasures in the environment.
  • Time-Trial where you must be the fastest on each track to reach the top of the world rankings.
12 tracks divided in 4 environments are available. Those tracks are split in 3 solo "episodes" and a misc tracks episode. The 6 more difficult tracks are in the map pool available on the official servers when playing online.
The player is able to choose between 5 vehicle categories, each one allowing multiple skins that you can unlock by playing the game.

We are at the very beginning of this journey and were until now concentrating on technical stability.
We will quickly add new in-game content and game modes.
