Game now skips intro settings if already finish Chapter 1.
Optimized ultimate graphics.
Made rankings harder to get.

Additionally there are Linux fix attempt for Photon. -Sadly no native Linux for now, the Native Linux build is done but we still need to learn how to put it on separate depot/upload. Hopefully we can it soon!

Sorry for being busy recently. Alex needed the time to do some external work to pay his bills and rents. Hopefully, by next month we'll go full force on GK again! Now off to some news!

A new trailer for Good Knight!

Good Knight has grown a lot the last year, but we still don't have much budget. XD We did want to make more marketing materials and so on to help advertise the game. So Alex remixed Good Knight trailers in a way to make it more spoopy and funnier as how the game has been more loved recently. Did I mention that the music goes harder than the demons of hell? The Bone Zone Im sure many would agree when I say that the music of this game is the best part of it. Its described as a metal soundtrack on the games store page, and it accompanies the gameplay and the art style of the game perfectly, hyping you up to go against more and more bosses and levels. I genuinely believe that without the music and sound design, the game would not be played to its truest form. POP! by INQUIRER We also can't talk about Good Knight without mentioning the absolutely rockin' tracks. Some of the best I've ever heard since Lords of Thunder and Ys, and that was a long time ago. They're like a mix between those games and some of ZUN's work on Touhou -- mixing classical instruments with hard rock and speed metal. Minor Hotfix Manika Patch

Hello Good Knight players! Just dropping a minor patch for now! Named after Manika the PHVtuber who help spot the problem.

Patch Notes:

Added more bug fixes
Added more polishes
Preinstalled Highscore starting offline will still have leaderboards. Unlike before going online is needed to get a populated leaderboard.

Fixed title screen input bugs
Fixed ingame interface bugs
Fixed shooting bug being unlimited
Added GK Maker autosave feature

Addressed the following feedback given by Stevie Wonder and Larasana

Fixed major bug of map preview plays as the actual map on Chapter 1 when coming from GK Maker

Our first time using this feature in Steam! Patch 6 is released!

Patch 6 is released!

Major Changes

Auto Save -- The Geekositymag, Zeke and Sakurami Ruby patch! Auto Save and resume is finally added in the game. Resuming a game will not allow you to join the leaderboards, but its very nice for streamers and players who dont have time to play.
Multiplayer -- The HoshiLovi Patch! (They'll hate me for this XD) Because they were playing too "okay" and game was too balanced. XD Made multiplayer abit more harder. Before when only 1 player is left, that player will be as strong as single player fire rate wise. Now its abit weaker. This is so that players cannot fully rely on a strong player.
Score Improvement -- The IssaKimchi Patch! Combo Multipliers now halfs rather than going to 1x when dying in the game.

Improvements

The usual updated credits, death cards, texts
Fixed background story bugs
Xychi patch - Added keys for F,V,N and T
Certain easter eggs now properly show up at 150 rather than 152
Added tap count on rhythm in the endscreen
Added new chicken easter egg
Added more gamefeel for the rhythm
Removed chromatic abberation in title screen for people that has sensitive eyes

This is the 6th patch already since the release. We'll be hoping to be used to posting the patches here in steam. :D

You only need one button because you only have one job- survive from the bullet hell!
With this magical button, you are able to perform turn around, attack, speed down, sustained attack. So yeah, use it responsibly, don't miss fire your neighbor girl!

Use the arrow key or joystick to aim your attack. Destroy the bullet shooting enemy can make your survival much easier, but definitely not necessary. After you master the “dungeon dance move”, you won’t need them anymore- show some mercy to the pitful dungeon!

For rookies, we recommend using the bullet time button when the situation is intensified. It can save you anytime you want, the knight has already mastered this ability so that you can unlimitedly use it.
However,
"Don't abuse it! You will be punished for playing with time!" -Said by a wise guy.
