A handful of industry vets and novices who decided to make some videogames and share any money the games make equally. They made Tonight We Riot.

It's the game publishing division of Means TV, the world's first post-capitalist worker-owned streaming service.

We were. We like them too! But you have to admit, Means Interactive is a perfect fit for this game.
Why did Tonight We Riot drop off my wishlist?
There were some problems getting the original Steam page resurrected. Because so many people at Valve are rightfully working remote right now, support requests took a lot longer to resolve. The Steam store page and hub were finally transferred and made public only two days ago, at which point the most recent 126 people to add it to their wishlist had it removed.We're glad you found us anyway!
I saw you at SXSW like 5 years ago. What took so long?

If that's a serious question, there's some cool stuff to learn about socialism. First, plenty of forms of socialism coexistwith markets and exchanging money. The key to socialism is eliminating the exploitation of workers that comes when capital concentrates into the hands of others. Since the workers who made this game are also the owners of what they produced, that exploitation is less of an issue.
If you're concerned thatthe platforms thegame is on aren't worker-owned, or that the device the game is played on might have been made through unfair labor practices, those are totally valid concerns. But, as that way-too-often-applicable comic points out, you can live in a society while also wanting to improve it somewhat.
Still, I'm angry thisgame exists.
Sit with that a while. If a silly little pixel-art game about people rising up and overthrowinga repressivecapitalistkleptocracy makes you so angry that you want to post pissy comments or review-bomb it, no one will stop you.
