We notice theres a serious bug that caused the save unreadable. Weve fixed this bug in the patch. But for the better support of controllers, we dont use Steam input anymore. If youre playing with a controller, please disable Steam input in properties>controller. Hello from Glassheart Studio and Another Indie. We noticed while reading user reviews that some players were having trouble running Vigil: The Longest Night on Steam. It took us quite some time to find the root cause of this problem, and fixing it took even longer. However, we are happy to report that the bug has now been fixed! We also saw that many of you were asking for Turkish language support, and believe me, we want that for you too!. That being said, we already have other development plans in the works, and we need to get these things done before being able to work on improved language support. If you experience a black screen while starting the game, please check whether MSI Afterburner or RivaTuner programs are running on your computer. The Bounty of the Night updates add a trove of new content and improve almost every aspect of the game. Weve been listening closely to feedback and working with the community on Steam, Discord, Facebook, and Twitter to improve the player experience of Vigil: The Longest Night.

The Glass Heart and Another Indie teams are continuing to go through your feedback and improve Vigil: The Longest Night! This update is small in terms of content but big in terms of bug fixes and polish and addresses the controller issues that have plagued us since launch! Major Update
- Lower lowered enemy attributes (HP, EXP, Attack, etc.) in NG+ and further rounds of NG+.
- This caters to the needs of hardcore players and story/quest lovers! A round 20 enemy's power is roughly equal to previous version's power at round 6. We welcome hardest-core players to challenge Vigil for 100 rounds!
- Now Character's Arcane attribute will increase more Arcane spell damage and mana.
- Increased the Flaming Magpie's basic damage.
- Vigil: The Longest Night now uses Steam Input to read gamepad inputs.

- Optimization - Adjusted the calculation of Lightning Elemental damage, won't trigger error due to low Lightning Resistance.
- Adjusted the calculation of Poison Elemental damage, now all poison effects last longer and deal more damage (including those afflicted on monsters).
- Adjusted the calculation of Bleeding Affliction, now will interact normally with the monster's poise value. Damage value has been increased.
- Fixed - Bug that will occur after the value of "Reduce Debuff Duration" goes above 100
Other
- Modified - Side menu can be closed using Option (PS4) or Start (Xbox) buttons.
- Optimize - The item/equipment descriptions in both Chinese and English.
- Fixed - "Great Arcanist" and "Acrobat" achievements now trigger correctly.
- Optimized the death sound effects of certain bosses.
- Adjustment/Added - Can now use Fledgling's Blood Soul in the Unknown Space, and added a teleporter at the beginning section so player can return to the Catacombs.

This first update is just the beginning for us, we are already working on a major polish of the English text, adding a whole bunch of requested features and a substantial content update! First, we want to thank you for all your support during the launch of Vigil: The Longest Night. Its been an incredible experience for Glass Heart Games and our publisher, Another Indie! Weve received encouragement and support from around the globe, but we have also received many bug reports and players facing issues, especially on Nintendo Switch. We have spent the weekend talking with players and the community and are working to fix these issues as quickly as possible. This was our first game, so we are learning a lot and thanks for bearing with us! We are now going to go into more detail on specific issues: Issues including Placebo quests achievement not triggering, items not working correctly, unclear quest guidance, controller issues, and certain skills being too hard to activate will be fixed in the next update. The games technical structure means that certain modifications sometimes create other issues, meaning that both our internal and our Publishers QA team need to do a thorough test before the game goes live. On another note, weve discovered that some of our English text hasnt uploaded correctly, meaning that some item descriptions are unpolished (we are not English speakers), we are going to upload fixes ASAP. For those of you who played our Demo during the Steam Game Festival, you are probably intimately aware with the tragic tale of the Brood Mother. A tragedy of epic proportions where love, deception, and science mingled to corrupt and create this frenzied, beast. I wont spoil the story behind the Brood Mother but suffice to say, it isnt for the faint of heart.
The design for the Brood Mother, as with most of our creations, came from the brilliant (possibly deranged) mind of our lead artist and Co-Founder Lin Li/Kevin who wanted to create something deeply disturbing for the games first major boss. Brood Mother is a real nightmare, I wanted to make something that was immediately shocking, but which fit into the story and the world. Along with Co-Founder Joyce Chen, they brainstormed a truly appalling creature made up of distended human body parts along with an insectile abdomen. She has malformed insectile wings, dozens of eyes, and a scream of inhuman fury and pain. Shes an absolute nightmare. Originally, she was supposed to be a fusion of moth and human, but after experimentation, Lin Li decided to use the common fly for his beastly creation, heres an early image of the moth version for comparison.
But perhaps the most gruesome thing isnt the Brood Mother, its her children. You read that right, her CHILDREN! Throughout the fight the Brood Mother will give birth to half human, half larvae children that will quick overwhelm you unless they are dealt with. As you can imagine, the effect is completely horrifying!
Horror is always based in reality and Brood Mothers ability to give birth makes one question other elements of her backstory as well as the nature of pregnancy and motherhood in a heavily religious, medieval society. Maye Town is an independent town to the East of the Empire. Formally a part of the Diqbushire and an important site in the history of this land. Many children can tell you of the stories of the Glorious Guard and brave battles and heroic resolve. But now is not the time for history. Since the Long Night began all those years ago, Maye Town has been a bastion of civilization in an increasingly wild land. The city is home to many industries, eager to cater to locals and weary travelers alike. The General Store is brimming with local produce! Delicious potions, excellent equipment, as well as local curios.
The Blacksmith, sturdy and strong, waits to improve the weapons of would be adventurers and resilient locals.
The Local Bar is the center of small-town life! Here you can swap stories, share beer, and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of Maye!
The Church is of course an important place for the devout members of the community. The beautiful Bruna and her wonderful Mother Tangerine can often be found spreading the joy of the Shimmer Goddess in these hallowed halls! [IMAGE] The Library is perhaps one of the most surprising finds in this beautiful town. A wonderful collection of ancient tomes brimming with history and fiction. The Librarian himself is happy to help you find books to your taste!
