The Community map tab is live and to celebrate this, we pushed a community map ready to be played. In addition to the community map, we've added an automatic saving and loading of settings. When you change settings in the options tab, the options will be saved from now on and the game will remember your custom settings the next time you start the game up.
We eliminated a stutter that occured once during the gameplay. For speedrunners: The timer is smaller now.
Also we prepared our system to have community maps, so hopefully we will see a couple of community maps in the future.
This update is currently only available for windows.
Have you ever wondered if speedrunning is something that might interest you but you never had a game to start out with?
Look no further. Cubico is a very short game (+- 10 minutes) to play through when you know where to go. It is a very beginner friendly speedrun game to try out. We have a small speedrun community that is very welcoming and can help you out getting started. There are only 2 speedrun modes: Just get to the finish or 4 statues.
We have various tutorial videos by speedrunners to check out and get started.
For a discussion or help, you can join in on the community run discord (https://discord.gg/bQXDWt) or in the steam forum (https://steamcommunity.com/app/1113730/discussions/0/2269194717031395620/).

We reworked the soundtrack into one big 50 minute track including 3 new tracks. Every playthrough starts the track at a different point to create an interesting new experience every time. With this we try to make the game less repetitive sounding when getting stuck. Previously, when stuck players would hear the same soundtrack over and over again.
We are also launching the Cubico Soundtrack as DLC. We hope you enjoy the soundtrack.
Fixes introduced in this update:
- Achievements for the first statue fixed
- Added Info Panels with game instructions
- Slight changes after the second manipulation plane to lead players better. This should not influence speedruns.
- Added info panels.
Cubico is a jump’n’roll computer game which takes the player on a journey through a playful world filled with geometrical objects. However, not everything seems to belong into this world. The player can reshape and extrude some of the objects and put them to good use. You’ll experience a journey with various challenges. The game demands skill and logical reasoning in a place with brash colors and shapes straight out of the 80s. The game is accompanied by electronic synth notes, which carry you down memory lane. Suddenly you’ll find yourself in the world of colorful walkmans and friendly macintoshes.
