Our last release contained a very unfortunate bug which rendered some portions of the game unplayable and made certain endings unreachable. In short: clouds fell down from the sky ... ... they no longer do.
After quite some time, we have released a new minor version release!
Another minor patch release to bring the underlying framework (Electron) that is used to power the game engine to the latest version.
Just a minor patch release to fix some issues that might occur during initialization of the game.
The previous minor release contained a bunch of bugs that slipped in: The new fullscreen toggle and the integration of the Steam overlay API were broken... :-( This release addresses these issues and fixes all known bugs! Yay!!!1
This might be the last update for our little indie game, so go get it, while it's fresh!
You can pet the dog. You should definitely pet the dog! Pet the dog already! This release contains a bunch of smaller bug fixes, improves some of the dialogues and is now based on a new runtime that offers improved gamepad support. Non-XInput-devices should now work out-of-the-box in most cases, so if you previously had no luck playing Friendly Fire with your gamepad, give it a try and let us know if things have improved. On top of the fixes and improvements, this release also adds two new alternative endings to the game. You heard it right: there are now five possible ways to finish the game (Endings A to E). Pretty cool, eh? The full Changelog contains all the technical details about this release, but be aware that it might also contain some spoilers concerning the new alternative endings.
As the game is fully open source, the complete changelog can be found on GitHub: https://github.com/friendlyfiregame/friendlyfiregame/releases A little note to the tech savvy people within the community: If you want to participate in the development of the game, you can always grab the sources, build the game yourself or leave your bug reports directly in the GitHub issue tracker.
We are proud to announce a new version of Friendly Fire. We have listened to the community and improved the game in many ways.
