Hey folks!

Some of you may have already noticed, but Bedlamball is currently half off in the Steam Remote Play Together sale! More details here but essentially now only one player needs the game, and anyone else can join with a link to play along!

I'm also excited to announce that Bedlamball is a part of the Indie Maker Syndicate which is a virtual convention running this weekend featuring a ton of awesome indie games! Hope to see you there!

Until next time!

Join the Farmageddon Closed Beta!

Hey folks! Big news!

In addition to updates on Bedlamball, I'm pleased to announce that we're hard at work on our next project! It's called Farmageddon: A Cattle Royale and it's basically a roguelite made of cow puns. Wishlisting it would really help us out!

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE:

If you're one of the first 99 people to email evan@solidplasmastudios.com with proof of steam purchase of Bedlamball, (yes, even if you buy it now while it's 50% off) I'll send you a steam key for the current beta build! That's one and a half games for the price of half of a one game!

If you have any questions, feel free to join the Discord, or shoot me an email!

See you next year! BBsibyl

Bedlamball 50% off!

Hello Steam! Bedlamball is currently 50% off! It's an air hockey like game about changing rules, and if you stream it, your chat can also change the rules with Crowd Control! Here's the trailer!

Have a happy new year!

BIG 2.0 UPDATE HITS FRIDAY

Hello, Steam! It's been a while!

Been working on this update for far too long, and I gotta say, I'm glad it's finally done, and I can't wait to share it with you! Check out the new trailer!

[previewyoutube=AMMJRIRl-FE;full][/previewyoutube]

In addition to multiple Quality of Life improvements and bug fixes, this update brings fun new modes and updates old ones, such as Score Attack, which now spawns a stopwatch every few seconds to give you more time on the clock... if you can catch it before it flies away.

As for new modes, we've got a mode where you can watch the AI duke it out, and a team based mode for 3 players which adds an AI partner for the second team. But the feature I'm most excited about is....

That's right! Bedlamball 2.0 has support for Warp World's Crowd Control Twitch Extension! What that means is, if you stream the game on Twitch, your viewers can change the rules while you play! It gets pretty ridiculous.

Bedlamball does not currently have matchmaking for online play. I say currently, because if this update does well, I'm not opposed to making it happen in the future. I strongly recommend trying Steam Remote Play Together to play the game with friends. It's really simple to set up, and honestly works better than anything I could hope to implement directly into the game right now.

For those of you on the fence, the Free Demo has also been updated, and is available on the top of the game's store page. If you like what you've seen or played, buy the game now to save 40% before the update hits on Friday!

I hope everyone's staying safe and healthy.

Trading Cards and MAGFest!

Hey, folks!

Got a couple of exciting announcements. First, Steam Trading Cards are now available for Bedlamball!

I've shared a couple of the character art pieces we commisioned before in these updates, but there are 8 in total, each of one of the playable characters, and it's so exciting to finally be able to share the finished product with you! Here's what the cards look like:

And if you collect all of them via trades or the steam market, you can craft badges and get cool profile backgrounds and emoticons. BBwormhole BBsibyl BBball

Apologies if this doesn't interest you; we've had this art ready since launch, and we're very excited to be finally able to use it.

In other news, Bedlamball with have a booth at MAGFest in National Harbor, MD from January 3rd-6th 2019! MAGFest is a music and gaming festival that runs 24/7 for four days, and as regular atendees, wer're super excited to be showing the game there! There will even be a tournament with prizes!

Last, but definitely not least, we are still working on online play. It's not simple, and I (Solidplasma) am the only programmer. I strongly reccomend using Parsec in the meantime. Parsec is a great program that works on just about any platform to turn any local co-op game into an online game with minimal lag. Plus, you only need one copy of the game to use it!

Until next time!

Now available on Mac!

Hey folks! I'm still hard at work on the online play, but I figured I'd try and make the game available to more players!

Bedlamball is now playable on MacOS platforms!

The game has been tested with OSX 10.12 Sierra as well as 10.13 High Sierra, but should work with versions as far back as 10.9 Mavericks. If it doesn't work, try updating to the latest OS, and if all else fails, contact me on Twitter.

The Twitch integration should work too, and is explained in the options menu, but you may have to tell Finder to show you hidden files. Again, contact me if you have any trouble.

Until next time!

Bedlamball Price Drop (at least for now)!

Hey folks! Bedlamball is now only $5.99!

First, let me say, it was my mistake to enter the summer sale at only 20% off, and if you want to refund and purchase again at the lower price, I don't blame you.

That said, the current plan is to keep this price point until I complete work on the online multiplayer, which is in progress. When that launches, I will probably bring the price back up to $9.99, but no higher, unless this price point works out exceptionally well.

I would also like to encourage anyone who has enjoyed the game to leave a review. The game currently has none, and they really help.

In the meantime, have a great summer!

Free demo now available!

Hey folks! Since launch, I've noticed people aren't sure what to make of Bedlamball from the trailer alone, and that makes sense. It's a game that I feel needs to be played before you "get" it. With that in mind, I've made a free demo version of the game that you can download from Bedlamball's Steam page if you're on the fence. It has support for two players locally (which I reccomend if you have someone to play with), as well as the VS AI mode, both with access to the four starting characters from the full game.

Online multiplayer is coming, but I felt there was little point in adding that if people don't know how the game plays in the first place. So go ahead and try the demo today!

Bedlamball's available now! What's next?

Hey folks! If you're reading this, the game should be playable on steam! I've been working on this game for a good while, and while there's still a lot I'd like to add, but at some point you just have to ship.

That said, I'm not done with Bedlamball. For one thing, we're set to release Steam Trading Cards as soon as the game meets Steam's community item drop requirements. I also imagine people would like to be able to play the game online. I'm not sure how long it will take, but I definitely intend to add multiplayer via Steam. In the meantime, I recommend a free program called Parsec. I've tested the game with Parsec before, and their program has only improved since then. It basically allows you to play any local co-op game online with friends with very low latency. I'm not sponsored by them or anything; I just want people to have a workaround for online play while I implement it properly.

I've also got ideas for at least one new character, so stay tuned to our Twitter or Facebook for regular updates!

Hope you enjoy the game!
