Sparklite Out Now on Linux! Plus New Features + Fixes!



We're delighted to announce the arrival of Sparklite on Linux! The whimsical action-adventure game released today and includes the latest content update for Sparklite!

Linux users will be delighted with this new release as well as the amount of content and new features it includes.

Added support for hot swapping between controllers on PC
Harmonys finale is now worthy of the work that it takes to assemble her band. Collect all the beats to see it!
Added several forest rooms to improve general feel of the zone
Improvements to UX on Inventory screen:
- Widgets now quick equip
- Visual indicators for passive gadgets and widgets more clear
- Gadgets dim when in equip mode
- Tooltips revised
Controllers not on our official supported list should at least display button indicators now
Reworked Description panel in Inventory
- Now requires a button press to get more info but cleans up the UI

NEW CONTENT!

Hello Adventurers!

We hope youre enjoying your adventures in Geodia!

Were proud to announce the arrival of the biggest ever update for our whimsical action-adventure, Sparklite!
Sparklite players will be delighted with the amount of extra content and new features weve managed to cram into this latest update.


Sparklite players who install Update 1.5 can look forward to;


  • New! Casual Game Mode - For an easier experience
  • New! Champion Game Mode - For the hardcore gamer looking to challenge themselves
  • Updated save slot UI
  • Enhanced boss fights
  • New character in the Refuge
  • New Baron cinematic
  • Updated sinkholes
  • Updated Furnaces
  • Chopping grass now has a chance to drop Sparklite
  • Thanks to active community weve also added lots of bug fixes and quality of life improvements



Casual Game Mode:
The brand-new Casual Game Mode is intended for people who mostly just want to see everything Sparklite has to offer, without the pressure of failure. In this mode, hearts drop more often, players begin their adventure with more health & there are also more dig spots. This mode is ideally suited to players who want to focus on Sparklites story and enjoy the world of Geodia.

Champion Game Mode:
For players who like an additional challenge after beating the game. Ada's adventure will be harder this time around. Enemies and Titans will be stronger and have new attacks but, the rewards will be greater as they will drop more Sparklite. Players start the game with all schematics but Vaults no longer appear in the world. Choose this mode for a whole new way to experience Sparklite!

Finally, as if that wasnt enough, you can now also earn unique banners in Town, (which can be seen on all saves, not just the one you finished the game on), for beating Standard and Champion modes.


We also made the following changes in other updates:
Winter update Dec 19

  • End Run option from Pause Menu (Player Request)
  • Show Beat Counts on World Map - all beats available for each area in a given run
  • Add more space for available patches
  • Minor audio improvements



January update Jan 10

January Update!

Hello Adventurers!

How was your first full week of the year?

We're delighted to report we've just released another update for Sparklite!

This update comes with new features such as;

  • Added an Adventure Log, which shows stats per run
  • Added Patch scroll menu
  • Added saving the game when changing scenes
  • Added winter effects in town
  • Added NPC names to Interact prompt
  • Improved art of core sequence
  • Rework beats to spawn more often
  • Added Quick Equip" and "Quick Unequip" prompts in Patch Menu
  • Improved audio for Scubert fight




We've also addressed some bug fixes, you can see what we've fixed
  • Sounds no longer play for a frame after game over screen
  • Ada now unthaws after time when frozen
  • Widgets no longer break when returning to town after beating a boss
  • Switch in FH_DeadEnd_S_ClawFisherEmbedded can no longer be turned on before completing it
  • Rocky no longer gives incorrect hint when in Swamp or Goldenwoods
  • FH_Nail Puzzle is now persisted across plays
  • Buried chest in Acid Bog can no longer be dug up repeatedly
  • Patches no longer disappear when fusing
  • Fix bug where one of the furnace doors could be re-entered after falling down
  • Fix bug where Ada could get knocked out of the stage in Baron fight
  • Fix memory leak with runtime Scriptable Objects
  • Fix bug where some users could never get the Spark Slinger Blueprint
  • Fix art glitch where Furnace Elevator would go down instead of up
  • Refill Adas energy when returning to town
  • Fix bug where Acid Worm was hitable when submerged
  • Spark Slinger can now damage Timbert
  • Did a minor balance pass on Scubert
  • Enable damage on Mosquitos from the hammer
  • Fix misspelling on Invigorboost dialog when picking it up
  • Disable damage to airborne Wasps and Jetpack Gremlins with hammer
  • Fix issue where Mosquitos would appear to hover incorrectly
  • Fix bug where Tutorial wouldnt save correctly when shutting off the device

Sparklite Winter Update!

Hi everyone!

We recently released a patch which made the following fixes! We'd like to say a big thank you to our community for your continued support and engagement.

Even more good news, Sparklite is included in the Steam Winter Sale! For a limited time you can get Sparklite with a whopping 30% off.

  • Prevent Ada getting stuck when jumping down into tight collision
  • Fix player to be invulnerable during cinematics
  • Wingnut now cancels abilities when control is interrupted
  • Monty's Crew Cards are no longer off by 1
  • Nail Puzzle in Swamp is fixed
  • Baron fight audio improvements
  • Companion Horn now works when Idle
  • Wingnut's light no longer behaves as if it the improvement patch were applied
  • Removed useless Switches in Shifting Sands minigame Room
  • Widget Recycling Patch uses correct text
  • Beats Notes come from fruit of Desert tree rather than base
  • Raise volume on Monty's theme (was quiet compared to rest of music)
  • Don't play landing FX when jumping in pit

Margo Pogo Explorer's Journal (Pt 4)



Sparklites world of Geodia can be a precarious and wondrous place. Luckily, Margo & Pogo, Geodias (self-proclaimed) fearless explorers are on hand to guide any would-be adventurers for one last time so you're prepared in time for Sparklites launch this November 14th...it's so close!



Margo & Pogo have been everywhere and met everyone (almost). From the lush greenery of the Vinelands, to the scorching desert of the Shifting Sands, Margo & Pogo have discovered almost all of Geodia. Today, Margo and Pogo are meeting Geodia's gadget guy Sparkmaster Rizzle, and taking a trip to the ominously-named Titan's Ridge.

Sparklite Titan Tactics - Boris



Hello, and welcome to Titan Tactics, an in-depth look at the villainous henchmen working for the evil Baron in Sparklite, the retro-inspired action adventure coming to PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One & PlayStation 4 on November 14th! Today, we'll be talking about Boris, the menacing miner who will pulverize any boulder, or anyone, in his way.

Boris, with the help of his rock-devouring wrecking ball, has become one of the Barons top miners. Hes been tasked with trying to enter the Foothills Vault but, to the Barons great disappointment, has so far been unable to break the seal. You could say hes caught between a rock and a hard place

A keen scavenger, Boris was born to dig. His latest project, before siding with the nefarious Baron on his quest to drain Geodia of its natural resources, was helping archaeologists search for Founders relics in the Shifting Sands, a noble enough cause if ever there was one.

However, eventually he became disgruntled by all the do-gooders wanting to protect Geodia and the wildlife found within it. He thought all that nonsense just got in the way of unleashing the relics dormant (yet potentially catastrophic) powers, and that the destruction of the lands natural resources was a small price to pay for this! When the Baron offered him a job leading a crew of gremilns in the mines, he didnt hesitate and soon got to work



When you (Ada), meet Boris, watch out for his vacuum! After pulverizing nearby boulders, The Boring Titan uses the Sparklite Combustors heat to produce an incredibly strong vacuum. The vacuum sucks up any uncrushed rubble into the titans core where it will then be ground to dust. Only objects able to run directly away from the force of the vacuum can avoid the Titans clutches. Keep an eye out for his vacuum, and flee as soon as you see it!
