Here's our new game!! It's a retro metroidvania. Check it out and wishlist here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2815500/Stardust_Demon/ Alongside the action-platformer segments, there will be lots of puzzles too - kind of like Salad Fields, and lots of quirky NPC's. If you like our work, wishlisting really helps us out and enables us to do more. Thank you!!

Three new areas (free DLC)!!! Accessible in the post-game Starship:
Pumpkinland
is the biggest, featuring multiple new puzzle types and NPC's. Meet a giant pumpkin (not a pumplin). Fear the new Void Pumplins (not pumpkins) that send any nearby objects or players into the void never to be seen again. Answer quiz questions. And so on!
Walking in the Rain
is a brisk jaunt through a rainy field on your way to the theatre.
Dungeon Spelunker (1979)
is a quick look at an old text-adventure that bestows a secret code.
We've also made a couple important additions to the main game:
There's now a warp pipe in the skull section of the game...
You now have the option to choose your text speed! Available in the Esc menu once you've started playing.
Changelog:
-New area: Pumpkinland
-New area: Walking in the Rain
-New area: Dungeon Spelunker (1979)
-code to unlock post-game areas
-warp pipe NPC added in "The Slaughter Grounds"
-option to change text speed added
-"The Cha-Cha Strut!" puzzle made easier
-fixed some typos maybe

You may find the newest content in Adndwai's Starship, but make sure you have enough veggies and coins first!
Changelog:
-Added the Violet Cathedral, a whole new area! :o
-Replaced a puzzle with an easier one in "Moonfog" (the original puzzle will return in an upcoming post-game area)

The game is now complete and not in early access anymore! Big thanks to those who got the game already. :3 The big addition with this update is Part 4, or the final quarter of the game. The main new puzzle mechanic is amoebas, which copy themselves as you move around. There are new exotic locations to explore such as... an art gallery! (so exotic!) We've also made minor enhancements, like a title screen animation when you load up the game. The future: Post-game content is in the works! (But first you gotta beat the non-post-game)

Here's what's in it: -= PART THREE =- The 3rd chapter (out of 4) is now available and completely done! It's technology-themed and features televisions with cute cat faces, which teleport tiles from one location to another. -= EXPLORATION MODE =- There's now 2 difficulty levels, "puzzle mode" and "exploration mode". Exploration mode essentially turns off the puzzles, so that anyone who wants to just experience the story and locations and atmosphere without gameplay now can play through the game. You can switch between the two modes at any point in the game in the pause menu (esc key). -= other additions =- - secret areas - Yippie (the leather-mouse hippie) has their own theme song when they cook you a doughnut - a bugfix where the game now saves immediately after every vegetable you collect - minor changes like typos and stuff ..........So how close to completion is the game now? In terms of chapters this update takes the game from half done to 3/4 done, so there's roughly only 1/4 more game to go. A decent chunk of the cutscenes for the final part are done already and for this update we ended up putting in a lot of extra stuff we weren't expecting so the rest of the game probably won't take us as long as this update took. Then once we leave early access we will update it over time with new optional post-game areas.

🕹️ Partial Controller Support

In this adventure-puzzle game you explore surreal lands and meet strange folks...
Folks include:
-=- Yippie the gay leather-mouse who bakes doughnuts using vegetables
-=- Kizzy the computer who fears Y2K
-=- Myrtyl the anti-cop queer skater punk
-=- Fancy Andy the ampersand-shaped butler and wannabe beekeeper
-=- 3 "dudebirds" (dudebro + bird)
Two gameplay modes for flexible playstyles:
-=- "Puzzle mode" provides challenge
-=- "Exploration mode" lets you walk right through the puzzles, making the game's various bizarre worlds accessible to anyone (...anyone weird enough to play this game)
*informercial voice* But how big is this game, you ask?! It's pretty goshdarn big. :O
-=- Over 100 (ONE HUNDRED) puzzles!
-=- 30 music tracks, or over an hour of music!
-=- A whole bunch'a locations and characters and things!
The devs:
Resni is the creator of the unofficial cult-classic "Mibibli's Quest", and jars received their MFA and likes puzzles.
We are also queer furries and a couple. Salad Fields might seem very silly (and it is) but we feel it reflects our truths as strange misfits in various ways. We hope that you find something in it you resonate with. :3
