It looks like everyone is having fun with Cubic Currency so far! We noticed a couple of trends and are tweaking things around them.
Balance Tweaks
We're pretty happy with where the game's balance is at, but Combo Meter has become far too easy of a way to win. Additionally, events just weren't happening at the frequency and consistency we liked, so expect a lot more events now, and expect to find a lot more quest-chains as well!
- Combo Meter Nerf: Max Combo from 5 to 10, scaling changed proportionally
- Unique end of day events are more varied and more common
- When you start a quest chain event, its follow-up events are now much more common
- Get Rich Quick achievement from 15 minutes to 20 minutes
Item Bugs
- Sentient Program now functions correctly
Wow! The team had such a busy summer working on Cubic Currency, but we are so happy with the finished product and cannot wait for you all to enjoy it!
We would love to talk about future plans for Cubic Currency, but with school ramping up for all of us, it seems like we will have to wait a bit until we can properly gauge not only how well Cubic Currency is doing, but also what our schedules look like moving forward.
In the meantime, if you or anyone you know is having bugs, issues, or has feature requests, I highly recommend that you stir up some discussions using Steam's discussion tools, as both the team and I will be closely monitoring them.

Cubic Currency was originally made over the course of three days for Ludum Dare 46. What you're seeing is the culminated efforts of a dev team reworking and polishing the game into its final form during the summer of 2020.
