Hi everyone! I'm writing a quick post to let you know that I've uploaded a new build of Sweetest Monster (after all these years... Wow) This new build fixes a couple of typos that were present in the English text, and (more importantly) adds a full Spanish translation to the VN courtesy of Aarn Acencio. Aarn also translated my other short, dark VN, The Mermaid of Zennor, into Spanish, so you can check that out here if you're interested! Bell can now speak in six languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Russian, and Chinese. That's very impressive. She's quite the polyglot! Hi everyone, I'm writing an announcement to let you know that my newest VN, All Ashes and Illusions, has been released on Steam!
Ashes is a fairly grim 'romance' story about a delusional young prince who falls obsessively in love with his childhood nursemaid, Safiya. Ashes features content some people might find discomforting, such as: a relationship with a 20 year age difference (Yuel, the protagonist and delusional young prince, is 20, while Safiya, his nursemaid and love interest, is 41), dub/noncon, written depictions of violence, coarse language, and a lot of casual misogyny. Ashes is quite a painful read, but it's one of my favourite stories I've written to date, and I'm very fond of the characters. Do consider checking it out, if you're after a VN with an older love interest, and you don't mind a hefty dose of Despair and Suffering! I'd be very interested to hear what people make of this story (and Yuel, in particular), and whether it succeeds in ousting Sweetest Monster from its position of 'The Most Unpleasant ebi Story to Date'! Hi everyone, I'm not sure if you're aware, but I've been working on a sequel for Sweetest Monster these last couple of years called Sweetest Monster Refrain. The sequel is in a pretty decent state right now: it's only missing 3 pieces of artwork (which will take maybe 3-4 months to be finished), and then it'll be done. I submitted a WIP build of the game to Steam a few weeks ago, but the game was banned because the content was deemed inappropriate for the platform. I wasn't given any means to appeal the ban, and I was told I wasn't allowed to resubmit the game even if I censored parts of the story (which I don't want to do anyway, because that would defeat the purpose of the story), so the sequel will not be available on Steam. I'll still release it, but I can't release it here. If you want more updates on the sequel, you might want to follow my Twitter account, @ebihimes. I don't think I should post about Refrain when it's out, or provide any links to the storefront I mean to host it on, because I don't want to risk getting in trouble. I'm not going to say more on the subject than this on Steam, so you should keep an eye on my social media accounts if you're curious. I'm sorry to the people who were waiting for the sequel, and who wanted to buy it on Steam; I hope this isn't too disappointing!

Hi everyone! Im just writing a post to let you know that my newest visual novel, Salomes Kiss, has been released on Steam. Salome is a yuri visual novel with some very gorgeous art which, on the surface, might not seem all that similar to Sweetest Monster. Salome is, however, one of the darker visual novels I've written, despite all the mannered prose and the cute character designs, and it has a pretty nasty ending (though perhaps it's not quite as nasty as Sweetest Monster's...) If you enjoyed Sweetest Monster for its dark and unsettling atmosphere, you might find yourself enjying Salome, too. They have a fair amount in common - and I want to know which story people think is the grimmest. I can't quite decide! If nothing else, reading Salome should tide you over before the release of Sweetest Monster's sequel (which I am, indeed, working on. I'm making pretty good progress on it, too, and I'm hoping to release it either late this year or early next). A new build of Sweetest Monster has been uploaded to Steam, which includes a full German translation, a couple of typo fixes in the English script, and some minor edits to the UI to make it look slicker. Hi guys, Just letting you know, I've released a new VN on Steam! http://store.steampowered.com/app/628460/Lily_of_the_Valley/ Lily of the Valley is a short, gloomy story about a man who meets a mysterious young girl in the Welsh countryside. Its main themes are: the importance of family, the inevitability of death, and the deliciousness of doughnuts. Given it's a short VN, it can be purchased for $2.99. I think Sweetest Monster and Lily both share a lot of similar themes, and I consider the two stories to be set in the same universe. Tonally, they're a little different (Lily doesn't have any fanservice elements, and is less unpleasant), but I thought some people might be interested. - ebi x
