The penultimate update is here. This update adds a new soundtrack and post-game content.

Added


  • Added loops. The end of each run will take you back to the beginning of a more difficult run with all of your items and abilities intact. Each loop has a different ending.
  • Added 6 new songs that play on each biome.
  • Added greyscale insanity effect.

  • Lowered the difficulty of enemy spawn rates.
  • Monster Hearts less likely to spawn.
  • Other minor audio and visual changes.


Removed

  • Removed that one god-awful song that started on the third floor.

The Item Update is out now. This new update adds 19 new items, improvements to enemy AI and more.

The Spare Parts Update is now available! This update introduces status effects and over 30 new mutations to the House of Silence.

  • 19 more mutations added.
  • 10 enemy-only mutation added.

  • Poison reintroduced to game.

  • Health regeneration removed.

  • Start run with 100 bones minimum.
  • New run bone reward formula modified.

Version 0.4a introduces small improvements including balancing and custom key bindings.

  • Anti-psychotics now bring your sanity meter to max.
  • Lowered spawn rate of anti-psychotics.
  • Decreased speed of predator legs and default legs.
  • Enemies now regenerate 1 health every 6 turns they take no damage.

In the House of Silence 0.4 - The Mutation Update

The Mutation Update for In the House of Silence is now available! This update introduces the ability to mutate your body parts into monstrous appendages to fight eldritch abominations!

  • Mutation system completely redone.
  • Player gains Bones by killing enemies and can spend those bones at a Shrine to change a body part.
  • Player stats now dictated by what body parts you have.
  • Stairs and Shrine show up on minimap.
  • Default max inventory size increased to 10.

  • Enemies can carry items.
  • Player regains 1 point of health every 6 turns damage is not taken.
  • Changed several of the map generation alorithms.

Version 0.3 modifies some mutations and fixes a couple of stubborn bugs.

  • Mutation menu shows the rarity of each mutation option.
  • Four Tails mutation changed from uncommon to rare.
  • Sharp Teeth deals a half heart of damage if your sanity is less than half.
  • Lightning Rod electricity animation plays less frequently.

Version 0.0.2 features improved sanity and mutation systems with a few minor tweaks.
