The first Shuffle Off!
Alright lads, we wanted Shell Shuffle to come out today too.
We're making a real effort to get the beta ready by the end of the month but in the meantime...

[h3]Want to win a free copy of Shell Shuffle when it comes out?[/h3]
Here's how to participate;

1 - Download the Shell Shuffle demo from the store page
2 - Record your best round of singleplayer Tide Trial and upload it to Youtube then link to it with a reply here or take a screenshot of the jar filled with shells and your total after a round and post it to Twitter with the hashtags "#IndieGame #ShuffleOff"
3 - Complete those steps before midnight central time of the 13th. Your best score will be your entry, so feel free to submit multiple attempts!
4 - The person who collected the most shells in their entry will be notified and given a Steam key to download the full game for free when it's released!

Darkmode has reached the gamemode selection screen, medals were implemented to showcase your skill in each gamemode, and we have a new friend for you to meet...



Say *click* to Herman Fibonacci! This little hermit crab needs your help to escape from the bottom of a deep well.



Every shell you collect will go towards filling the Shell Well and you'll collect achievements and keys along the way!

Our next two steps are completing the tutorial and new gamemodes!

Good news! We're closer to the release date!
Bad news! The release date is getting pushed.

The gamemode selection screen is close to completion and the new gamemodes are up next!



We've also nearly completed the Shell Well!
Every shell you collect will be dumped into a deep hole that will unlock new gamemodes as it's filled!
There will also be a hermit crab in the well which you can change the shell of by unlocking achievements!

We forgot to set some time aside for the beta testing and marketing period in our original release date estimate. If you'd like to participate in the Beta then let us know and sometime in February you can help us find and fix all the bugs!

We'll be sure to let you know when the new release date is set. It should still be in the first quarter of the year so keep your shell shuffling skills at the ready and try the Versus Demo if you haven't already!

Ahoy there lads!

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Evan Massie. I am the Captain of Victorian Clambake and I'm the fellow responsible for developing Shell Shuffle. You're likely one of the lads or lasses who has come over from my previous game, The Caribbean Sail.

I'm working with the Cartographer who is co-designing and creating the visual assets for Shell Shuffle!

I'll be sharing frequent progress updates on Twitter and Discord as well as the largest news here on Steam!

Version 0.4 - Alpha
Today I've implemented a local two player versus mode of the tide trial gamemode!
Grab a friend and play against each other, there is no higher test of ones gaming abilities than Shell Shuffle. You'll be at each others throats within the hour.

Remote play through Steam is live!
Begin Shell Shuffle then press "Shift + Tab" and open your friends list, choose one of your friends and invite them to "Remote Play" and they'll receive a notification that will enable them to join you and access your mouse and keyboard remotely within the game! Simply quit playing to end remote play.

[h3][Please note][/h3]
The host should always play using the arrow keys and right shift or a secondary controller, the guest can only use left shift while remote playing currently. Linux has varied success with remote playing, we successfully ran a round with Windows hosting a Linux user but not the inverse.

V0.5 will be posted soon to fix a few problems I found overnight.
