We have some good and bad news. The bad: We are moving the launch of "Faraway: Director's Cut" to sometime later this year. The good: We want to make Faraway even bigger and better! Our goal has always been to deliver the best game possible, and with this game, that goal is even more vital. Faraway: DC is our first self-published game, and for the first time, we have full control over the release, and we want to do it right. To quote our friends at Cyberpunk 2077 team: "We won't ship something which is not ready!"
But why now?
We had exceptional closed-beta testing for the last couple of weeks. Our testers gave us a bunch of great ideas about extra content and polish in the game that we would love to consider.
How can I help?
We just pushed a new update, and we are opening our beta testing to even more testers! You can join our official Discord channel, give your input about the game, comment, or even test the beta version.
When can we expect the launch?
At the moment, we can't specify the exact date. Our team is working hard on the game, and we hope to deliver it to you by the end of October. We'll post more frequent dev posts and keep you guys in the loop. We thank you all for your patience and support! Pine Studio Team

Hello, explorers! Thank you all for being excited about Faraway.
We want to announce the current development status, as the release date is so close.
Well, the game is officially finished! We just passed the Steam review, and we are ready to go. The release is set to September 22nd at 5:00am PDT.
Closed Beta Testing
We've started closed beta a few weeks ago and got such a great response from our community. Almost 100 players already tested the game and gave us valuable feedback. We've released two updates and here are just a few things that we have worked on:
- We added in-game support for 24 languages in total!
- Steam cloud sync is now live and working
- Added support for multiple keyboard layouts
- Clipping and collider problems are fixed on all reported levels
- The in-game camera now works properly
If you like Faraway, please support our work by wish listing the game and sharing it with your friends! <3 Thank you, Pine Studio
