[previewyoutube=4JX9Uy0ePUE;full][/previewyoutube] New Tech: Barrel Bomb - great for destroying blocks quickly. Stand near the Barrel Bomb to activate it. It's health with tick down until it explodes. Don't stand too close! New Unit: Grenadiers - A new option to destroy blocks. Warning: They will attack enemy blocks before attacking units. New Town Villager: Aurora - She has a fiery personality and some quests to unlock the new black powder technologies, Barrel Bombs and Grenadiers. You must complete the quest, Watchtower, before Aurora moves to town. New Quests: Aurora offers quests, Rancher Ron has some new quests and town blueprint rewards, and Quartermaster Cid also has one more quest for you. New Objectives: Demolish has you destroy a certain number of enemy blocks. Planter quests task you with building Planters, like gardening. So, let's see some screenshots of your gardens. This new update greatly improves the graphics of Dragon Banner, added shadows and new shading effects! Buildings and terrain now cast shadows! This has a big effect on the look of the game, really improving the quality of every level. Shadows can be turned off or on in the Options menu. If you find your computer has trouble running the game at a steady frame rate, try turning off shadows to improve performance. Characters and Equipment in the game are now rendered with an enhanced cell shading technique, helping the visuals pop with more detailed shading and contrast. Thanks for playing!

I am happy to announce a major update to Dragon Banner! Players requested faster movement. Now player speed and units speed have been increased by as much as 25% to deliver a smoother player experience and more engaging battles! Also the new Skirmish mode makes its way to the campaign mode, so you can now take on randomly created maps with your customized commander and you will earn command points. Now you always have a new challenge and rewards to go with it! The artificial intelligence of units was also improved. Here are the details on the update.
- Skirmish Mode is now accessible in the story mode. Use the random map creator to customize a challenge. Maps are created based on your settings. Take your customized commander into Skirmish for the first time and also earn command points based on the threat level chosen. Place the Skirmish Map blueprint, to access a Skirmish in the story mode.
- Player and unit speeds are increased by as much as 25% for a smoother and more engaging gameplay experience.
- Knights, Squires, Archers, Guardians, and Assassins will now prioritize opposing units more than before. They will be more likely to charge at an enemy rather than a material barrel, for example.
- Some units now have a running animation to account for their increased speed.

- Command point rewards were adjusted for a some quests.
- Merchants in Need quest was rebalanced to account for increased enemy speeds.

Hi! Welcome to Dragon Banner. The game just released yesterday, but I have a major new feature releasing today, completely free if you own the base game! Welcome to Skirmish Mode!
- Use the new random map creator to customize a challenge. Maps are created based on your settings.
- Choose your opponent! Face the Skulls, the Jackrabbits bandits, or go for a Free-for-all and witness battles between the Skulls and the bandits while you take them both on.
- Choose the map region. Three distinct geographic options, plains, forest, and hills. The maps are new each time.
- Choose your threat level. This settings affects how strong the enemy forces will be. Take your time building in a low-threat game, or go for a challenging survival experience by cranking up the threat level!
- Choose the music. You can choose which background music will play during the skirmish, giving you the choice of your favorite track from the original Dragon Banner soundtrack!

Hi! Thanks for following Dragon Banner. The full game release is coming on May 8th! But in the meantime, development continues, work on new features and improvements for you, my players! The first update includes a tutorial, a graphics improvement, and new options to support a range of computers with different graphics power. I want everyone to be able to play the game at a decent frame rate.
- Introducing a new Tutorial option from the main menu. This allows you to learn broad aspects of the game within a single quest, whereas the story introduces gameplay elements more slowly.
- This update includes a community requested feature. The default draw distance has been increased, meaning you see more of the map on the screen. The options now include configuration for the draw distance. This allows people with less-capable PC's to adjust to a lower draw distance if necessary in order to run the game at a higher framerate, if they are experiencing slowness.
- Another addition is the option to toggle fog in the game. This is a graphic technique that causes distant objects to appear foggy. Note that toggling this feature requires reload of the game in order for the new setting to take effect. If you have performance problems running the game, you may find that turning off fog could improve performance.
