Hi everyone! We noticed quite a few questions about 9 Monkeys of Shaolin during the Demo and Prologue launch. Firstly, we would like to thank everyone for this massive wave of feedback! It helped us tremendously in ironing out some of the pesky bugs and making some final changes to the game. Secondly, we want to give the answers to frequently asked questions about some aspects of the game that might not seem obvious. Im stuck after the first level! Where do I go? The first logical step is to introduce yourself to everyone in the temple. Or, at the very least, to everyone who has an ! sign above their heads :) After that youre free to select the next mission and go through the opened door to start the new level. How do I start co-op play? You can begin local co-op either at the very beginning of the game or by talking to Daoshan (a monk in blue) in the hub area. To activate the online co-op mode, the player needs to talk to Daoshan, select the Start Network Game option and then select a friend to send an invite to. After that, your partner has to start the game and accept the invite and voila both of you are now in the hub and ready to play! This works a bit differently on the Switch. Since the Switch didnt have an invite system at the time of porting, your buddy will need to select the Join Friend option in the main menu manually. But hey, it already encourages cooperation from the get-go! Explain upgrading the second player in more detail please! The second player gets as many upgrade points as the first player, but they can spend their points they want to! However all progress is saved on the Player 1 side, so if you wish to play with another friend on the same save file, they will have to deal with the saved progress from the previous Player 2. There can only be one Daoshan :D Ive found a secret! But I have no idea what it does... Congrats on finding one! These are here not just for show each of the secrets unlocks a modifier that can slightly adjust the gameplay. You can access the modifiers menu by interacting with the ladder in the hub area. A quick tip: speedrunners may appreciate the Turbo modifier that makes the game a lot faster ;) Ive encountered a bug! What do I do? Oh no! We strive to make games that are bug-free, but sometimes stuff happens and, well, we have to fix it. If youve encountered a bug, please let us know via email to help@buka.ru or message us on the #bug-reporting channel on our Discord server (https://discord.gg/NNCb3dV). If you have any other questions you think should be on this list, please let us know!

"If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle".
