The Gauntlet Update is NOW AVAILABLE!
For players who have finished the main story of Cassette Beasts, Magikrab's Gauntlet will now be available! This is a series of randomised combat encounters aboard one of the Mer-line's interdimensional trains and sees you facing off against strange mirages of old faces - friends and foe alike!
As you progress, you will build up winnings in the form of Fused Material that you can keep if you cash out. However, defeat means you lose everything! Your progress will be saved every 5 carriages, so you won't have to start from the beginning each time. You will also come across caf carriages where you can trade some of your winnings for recovery items - not to mention that other treasures can be found on board the train, too!
Oh, and of course - Magikrab's Gauntlet is entirely playable in Online Multiplayer! Team up with a friend as you face against impossible odds, together! To aid in your battles, the ability to fuse with your companion character whilst in co-op online battles has also been added in Version 1.7. This applies to Rogue Fusion encounters, too! You can find Magikrab's Gauntlet in the final story area of the game. You're in for a bumpy ride!
A new service is now available at Harbourtown Town Hall - Sticker fusion!
In exchange for Fused Materials, Wilma will transfer applicable bonus attributes from one sticker to another. Have you come across the perfect move for your beast but wished it had a rare attribute to make it even stronger? This is perfect for you! After all, with that new gauntlet, you're going to need all the help you can get! Sticker fusion is available to players once they have completed the main story and the Ranger Captain questline.
Alongside all the brand new free features for the game, we've also added a new cosmetic DLC. The Fashion Pack is priced at 3.99 USD/3.99 EU/3.29 and comes with a ton of new looks for your character as they travel through New Wirral!
The Fashion Pack adds the following cosmetic items to the players wardrobe: Baseball Cap Flat Cap Twin Tails Bow & Bangs Foxy Cut Windswept Spikes & Goggles Swept Mohawk Flower & Fringe Beret Round Specs Trenchcoat Crop Top Tall Boots
Steam Workshop is being added for 1.7! Whilst Cassette Beasts already has a thriving mod community, this update allows mod creators to upload mods directly to the Steam client for ease of installation for Steam players. Click here for the Workshop page!
We're also updating the Steam version of the soundtrack to include all the tracks that we've added since launch (including 3 new tracks from Version 1.7 and all the tracks from the Pier of the Unknown expansion) and updating the digital artbook to include monsters added since Cassette Beasts first launched.

Buckle up for the ride - Cassette Beasts Version 1.7 is now live and available for all current platforms! This "Gauntlet Update" adds several new features to the game - read on to learn what's new!
