With XLarns upcoming 10th Steam release Anniversary on May 25th we will have some exciting news to share.
This post will spoil a lot of the secret news but we are currently preparing to release XLarn on Android devices. The game is in a pretty finished and release ready state but to be sure it is as bug-free as possible we want to run a closed Beta first.
If you own an Android device(tablet or phone) and are interested in helping us test XLarn please reach out to us at wizard@swinfjord-games.com and include your E-Mail address used for your GooglePlay Account so we can invite you to the test.
Please only apply if you are okay with running into bugs and providing detailed feedback about them. General feedback as always is also welcome but if you are invited to the closed beta please focus more on general mobile device functionality instead of normal gameplay feedback.
This is just a small hotfix that will let the linux version default to a 64-bit build of the game instead of the previous 32-bit version. This should not affect the majority of players and should not have any visible changes at all but still if you encounter any problems after updating please let us know via e-mail: wizard@swinfjord-games.com or on the steam community discussion board so we can help you and fix the problems as soon as possible. For any ideas or feedback you can also contact us.
This is a smaller in-between Update adding some quality of life changes, new achievements and a lot of behind the curtain preparation for bigger things to come. XLarn is now back in active development and this update marks the first step to get into a more frequent release cycle.
the highlight of this update is the new mac version which supports newer versions of macOS as well as the newest generation of macs natively.

With the tooltip update the UI and the controls of XLarn get a rework. The tooltips make XLarn more accessible for newer players. For more expierienced adventurers: all aspects of XLarn can now be accessed with a keyboard without the need to grab your mouse in the middle of the game.

This update mainly adresses game functionality on linux. - added fullscreen option on linux - fixed an issue with dual screen setups on linux - fixed numpad enter key not working on linux - added a score multiplier because the game got a lot harder after the last patch - added coloring in the character sheet when stats are changing (stat turns red for a negative change and green for a positive one) - added a few missing german translations - fixed a bug where your strength won't be updated after a giant ant or centipede stung you - fixed a bug where a broken ladder on a hole in the ceiling would cause the player to fall into a pit - fixed a few issues with altars in the temple Also we made a twitter account to do stuff like community actions, giveaways and showing new features in development.
