Hi! Just a short update to let you know that there is NOW a new Regulator City DEMO available ! Still in heavy development, but I'm very pleased with where the game currently is.
There's a smoother game-flow experience (mission structure, city progress, all make more sense as you play) and there is even some on-boarding for new players in a short little "tutorial" level. You'll also experience a much better stealthy and sneaking-around experience to complete your missions!
This demo also brings you a new playable character: Wrecking-ball ! His dash is VERY nice to use, and his Special ability certainly packs a punch ;)

You play the leader of a team, taking out various gangs setting up base in Regulator City. I was inspired by the cool team-action you see in movies or tv-shows with special forces.. and in this game I want the player to feel part of such a team as you make your way through various apartments, industrial buildings, offices, etc.
Completing a range of interesting missions and slowly taking control of the city!

Just pushed a new update which should re-activate the achievement unlocking again. Sorry guys, something went wrong when moving to a new development PC and getting the source code back up and running! Seems to all be working again in this new version

This is a small but important update, as it should fix most (all?) of the graphical artifacts some people might have.
If you had black or white stripes appearing on the screen, they should now be gone!
On a side note, work on the sequel has also begun, so make sure to check www.heroesofloot.com and sign up to the news letter to stay updated!
The plan is to make the game better in every way: more interesting quests, bigger variation in characters (and play with all 4 characters under your control!) and a lot more.. so stay tuned

I just pushed update 2.2.0, it adds an improved option menu. By popular demand, you can now change the music and sound effects volume. Also more control over the size of the window (if not fullscreen). Further a bunch of interface improvements pushed. Let me know in the comments or on the forum if you run into issues!

Just a minor update, I finally found the cause of the auto-fire triggering for keyboard players. This happened after you, accidentally, moved the mouse for a bit, which we all know happens pretty often in the heat of the battle! Also fixed the max-dungeon achievement unlocking for pre-Steam players.
Just a minor update, I finally found the cause of the auto-fire triggering for keyboard players. This happened after you, accidentally, moved the mouse for a bit, which we all know happens pretty often in the heat of the battle! Also fixed the max-dungeon achievement unlocking for pre-Steam players.
The new update fixes the problem with Logitech F310 controllers and their mixed up directions ;) There's also a small update making achievements unlock for those players who had the pre-Steam release. And finally some improvements to the hit-boxes of the Cyclops, Minotaur, and Summoner (the purple guy).
This update fixes some of the issues mentioned in the forums. For those running into a crash at startup, this is 99.9% due to some hardware connected and telling the game it's a controller of sorts. A work-around, if you can't unplug it, is: In Steam: 1. right click on the game file and select Properties 2. at the "startup options" add: nocontroller 3. run the game. Finally the mouse has also gotten some improvements: It will now stick to the game window, response is slightly better and the left+right mouse buttons now also operate the menu's as you expect them to.
