Hell Loop is now Christmas themed for the duration of the Steam event!
This update fixes a bug where the player would not be awarded an achievement for completing the final level.
We've added new Halloween themed visuals and music to Hell Loop in participation of the Steam Halloween Sale. A few easter eggs and Halloween-themed decorations were also added in various levels for you to discover. If it's been a while since you tried Hell Loop, now is a good time to check it out again, as we've also updated lighting and game balance in our previous patch. Good luck defending hell!
Thanks to the feedback in community discussions we fixed a few outstanding issues, most importantly the broken "Continue" button in the final level.
Made the tutorial UI more clear by showing when the user needs to click on the text to progress further.
After many months of hard work we bring you our biggest content update yet. While our previous update improved the overall lighting, this update brings much more than that. [previewyoutube=jkHrDgWmGko;full][/previewyoutube] Changes in this version: - Re-balanced the whole game. - Clicking on humans now has zero cooldown but it yields less blood, and the AOE click modifier has been weakend significantly. - Traps no longer have a placement limit, but their prices have been adjusted accordingly. - Added a new "Sandbox" mode where you can compete against others in a global leaderboard. - Added a completely new tutorial and small bits of story. - Added a new victory screen after you finish the whole game, suggesting other content such as advanced difficulty settings. - Added a new final level that "closes the loop" :) - Improved graphics in the menus, trap selection, and fixed and improved many font-related issues. - Added more music to the soundtrack. - Improved save system and made it more clear when the game is being saved and what happens when the player exits the game. - Fixed issues related to alt-tabbing while the game was paused and many small graphical glitches. - Added more SFX and improved torch lighting in some areas. We hope this update will bring more replayability to the game, as well as fix some of the outsanding issues mentioned by our playerbase. Unfortunately as part of this update we ran into significant technical difficulties on MacOS which we were not able to work around. As a result we decided to remove MacOS from supported platforms on Steam, meaning the game can now only be purchased on Windows and Linux. Existing MacOS users who purchased the game still get to keep it at the state of the last update. The removal simply affects future releases of the game. We do realize that this isn't the perfect solution for everyone, but we simply don't have the development capacity to support multiple platforms if we want to continue working on new things. It was naive of us to expect to support all three platforms, and we won't make the same mistake in the future. If any of our exisitng MacOS users feel that this change is unfair, we'll be happy to offer them a full refund of the game. As a closing thought, we want to note that this is not the final update of Hell Loop.
This patch fixes a startup crash on Apple Silicon Macs when running Hell Loop in native mode (not through Rosetta). It works around a dynamic library loading issue with steamworks by only providing an Intel binary, that is running Hell Loop itself through Rosetta as well.
We've improved all the lighting, added a ton of particle systems, fixed a few minor bugs and tweaked a ton of little things to make the gameplay feel better.

Hell Loop Depot Linux [177.33 M]
What is the best punishment? Falling into a spike trap popping out suddenly from the ground, the good old ballista with its deadly massive arrow, or a modern Tesla coil delivering instant electric shots to anyone close enough? You have the options, the humans have only one hope: there are many of them. Maybe you will be so distracted setting up the traps that some of them will manage to escape. The halls of hell are large and it is difficult to guard them all. The humans are also fast and your resources are limited. What can you do with just a handful of traps?
The game is fast-paced - but you are the manager of hell and that has its own perks, like the ability to pause time and strategize. You are observing the situation from high above, like the devil himself. Your job is to not let anyone escape, and to punish everyone!
Game Features
- Tower defense meets platformer - a unique combo with a pinch of good old Lemmings vibe (only the Lemmings were cute, our humans are not).
- Hand-crafted levels with unique challenges. After all who says that hell is only fire and lava. A sinner can very well be tortured in acid or put to work in mines!
- Select wisely when given the option, as new traps will not come every level.
- Be aware of game-changing modifiers.
- Calculate with your blood, every drop of it is important. Killing human grants you a few extra drops.
- Don't forget to upgrade your traps! No one said being the hell manager is easy."
