It's not like I was being lazy or anything - in fact, for the last couple of years I've been working hard on MannaRites Gold - a new (and superior imo) version of MannaRites, which will - in my view - finally be worthy of asking people to pay for it! All the proceedings will be directed into MannaRites 2 development ---> wishlist MANNARITES GOLD right here <--- If you liked the original game - wishlist the GOLD version now, and I promise you - you won't be disappointed! If you didn't like the original game - try the new one, it's better in almost every aspect! So, without further ado, let me tell you about the MannaRites Gold, and what makes it different from the original game:
- Better combat system - I've reworked the combat system substantially, it's not more engaging, more dynamic and more tactical
- Improved AI - you'll find that enemies are much smarter now!
- Complete GFX overhaul - game now looks much better, and sometimes even gorgeous!
- New RPG system - there are 4 types of weapon for every character, and 4 skill branches. Almost all combat moves are now available from the start (you don't need to "unlock" arrows deflection anymore)
- Online multiplier is coming - it won't be available at the start, but it'll arrive some time during EA
- Interactive items - throw barrels, stones and javelins at enemies. It's fun =)
- A couple of new levels, puzzles and new mechanics here and there, no biggie
- Some of existing levels (especially boss encounters) were HEAVILY remastered (in some cases - redone from scratch)
- New items, potions and armor types, along with tons of new weapons!
- new COOP features - Golden Axe 3-style cooperative attacks
- in COOP if you partner dies - you don't have to replay the whole level again anymore As long as one of you alive - the battle continues!
- MAGUS and his magics were completely overhauled, it's a VERY different character now! + I've added a ton of new spellbooks for him
- ... and lots of other stuff - QoL included!

I'm happy to introduce the final regular update to MannaRites - Adrenaline Update!
This update finally brings the version of the game to 1.0, which means that the game is finally complete with all the planned features and content! (Well, almost all the planned features)
What's new in this update?
- New playable character - Kellet the Monk, martial artist. He's using adrenaline to power his abilities, and he's definitely not the guy to mess with! As he gains adrenaline by attacking or blocking, his attack speed increases and he's able to use either offensive ability - "lightning strikes", a series of devastating strikes, - or defensive ability - "healing seal", which heals everybody around Monk (including enemies!). He also have other unique features, such as offensive quick getup, slide tackle etc. - check him out, he's a lot of fun!
- Improvements for Wizard - character from the previous update, check him out as well
- Community content - new enemies and new game mode. Check it out in the "Community" section of the Main Menu!
- New long-awaited (probably ) "Beer Quest" and a bunch of new potions (along with the new system of recharging potions - some potions can be drunk multiple times per level now). Find the special beer roots on the repeatable levels and brew the strongest Root Beer you can think of!
- Ambushes! Now it's not that safe to traverse the Ijmeria island in the open map mode! Enemies are looking for you, beware
- New levels in both Campaign and Adventure Mode
- Gazillion of minor bugs fixed (prob added a couple of new ones in the process )
- 5 new Steam achievements. We all love achievements, right?
- The final mission now shows the amount of completed side-quests. For those who complete the main campaign with 100% of side-quests done - a little surprise after the final cutscene
Well it's been quite a ride!
Almost four years ago I've posted the very first gameplay video of MannaRites (back then it was MannaRocks actually , it can still be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIxxm5RGch0 And now look at us - full-featured and released game! I can't even begin to express my gratitude to you guys for playing MannaRites, leaving positive reviews and sharing feedback! For you it's probably just another game in your massive Steam library, but for me it was an infinite source of joy and motivation to grow, to continue making games of my own! Thank you for this incredible experience, which I will carry with me for the rest of my life!
First of all, I want to thank the amazing community of MannaRites for support and amazing ideas! Seriously guys, without you I won't be able to make this game and keep improving it for more than a year since its release! An incomplete list of what's new in this patch:
- new character - Tremor the Shepherd, focused on magical abilities, master of both fire and ice forces
- new area of Global Map is open in story mode - cross the Great Rift to defend the town of Barr from the invaders! Four new missions in the Main Campaign with a unique reward in the end!
- 10 new Steam achievements! =)
- new Adrenaline Roots mechanics - now it slowly regenerates your adrenaline and health over period of time
- Magus - new Lunge animation for staves and wands
- Magus - new final combo strike
- 3 new levels!
- New NPC trainer in town, with ability to level up you for money
- beatable dummy in town, on which you may test your damage
- challenges now affects xp you get for completing a level
- bug with character going through enemy while attacking and riposting (it's a big deal really!)
- bug with AI going offscreen sometimes (and not coming back)
- bug with AI not attacking player if he's close to the screen's edge or bottom
- several occasional soft-locks are fixed
Patch notes: 1. Minor interface tweaks 2. Slightly rebalanced XP rewards 3. New quest (a hint: there's a new book lying on the table in the Tower to the North from Ossar) - with a new unique reward 4. A couple of new locations to visit 5, A couple of new enemies - soldiers with spears and grenade tossers 6. Some of the levels were better optimized 7. Bugfixes! it was quite a list actually, more than 20 bugs were fixed

Adventure Mode
Main feature is, of course, the Adventure Mode - a new potentially endless game mode with lots of new content:
- new missions
- new enemies
- new challenges
- new bosses
- 13 new Steam Achievements
- develop your character with specialized custom builds
- get powerful equipment amd improve it with rare gems with new equipment system!
- explore new skills - master the mysterious power of Dar'Pillak - with ability to temporary possess your enemies or unleashing a devastating storm on their heads
- fight new enemies on new and unique missions - some of them in familiar locations from the main campaign, some of them are in previously unreachable areas!
- customize your experience - you may optionally increase difficulty of a mission by accepting challenges- for greater rewards!
- meet (and maybe even share a mission) with mysterious Weaver - powerful Ijmerian mage, who was sent to help you on your path
Illusion Mode
Apart from new Adventure Mode, there's also a new training game mode - Illusion! It allows you to test any build with any equipment against up to any 8 enemies from the game by your choosing! (except for some bosses) Illusion mode is located in "FUN MODES" section of the main menu!
Balance and equipment
There are other notable changes as well:
- Tons of bugfixes and small improvements here and there
- New battle moveset for Ranger character
- New spellcasting system for Mage - now spells can be cast right from the selection wheel
- Slight rebalance for Acrobat - now she gains energy not just from mid-air strikes, but from doublestrikes, dodge-strikes and slide-strikes as well. Apart from that, all Daggers are guaranteed to have at least a "backstab" perk, while all Sabers are guaranteed to have a new "graceful" perk, which increases stamina gain from performing special strikes

Greetings, fellow Ijmers! I proudly present this mid-sized patch, which, I hope, will improve the game a bit. Here's what's included: [olist]
New big update includes new Endless Arena mode. It's a bit different from the ordinary Arena mode and main Story campaign. Here are the rules and some features of new Arena Mode:
- Instead of a single old Arena, we now get 5 different Arenas, some of them has chance to have chasm, into which you can cast your enemies.
- You start as level 30 character, with lvl 30 weapon and armor. You also get 4 DarPillak points.
- As you progress through enemy waves - you get levels, loot, gear and skillpoints. But after each 30th round you're stripped of all your skills and skillpoints. Instead, you are given 2 DarPillak points.
- New alternative skilltree - DarPillak menu - allows you to distribute DarPillak points to acquire permanent upgrades. There are 4 branches of DarPillak skills - Magic, Weapons Mastery, Special Moves and Defensive.
- DarPillak has two unique active skills. One allows to strike your enemies with lightning.
- Unique POSSESS skill allows you to possess and take control of your enemy.
- Endless Arena dmg calculation, as well as some attributes of items - weapons, armor, etc. - is slightly different from the main game's, tho still intuitive and pretty easy to grasp.
Riposte battle move
Right after you successfully block an enemy attack - press attack button to quickly perform a powerful riposte move (deals a lot of damage, blocks incoming attacks for a brief time, closes the gap, allowing to immediately counterattack)
New way to perform throw
Before this update you could only perform throw by attacking your opponent and moving closer and closer to him. Now there's an alternative way to perform a throw - run at your enemy, and, while you're passing him (basically, while passing THROUGH him) - press block without releasing the run button. Apart from these new features - numerous bugfixes and other small stuff not worth mentioning. I hope you'll like it! This little update, along with some bugfixes and balance tweaks, introduces a new way to control your character - with full support of keyboard + mouse combination!
Most of UI has been adjusted to work properly with mouse pointer, besides that, you can effectively perform in-game actions with mouse default bindings:
LMB - attack, RMB - block, (LMB+RMB - special move), MMB - dodge/slide
Along with separate key for running, introduced for keyboard (LEFT SHIFT by default), now controls with keyboard + mouse feels better than ever!

Archery Update is out!
Proudly (and humbly) presenting our biggest so far update for MannaRites! It expands some of the game's aspects and improves many things in general! Shout out to amazing amazing MannaRites community - people who are helping to shape MannaRites and without whom this update would've never happened! Here's the list of stuff introduced in this new update:
- New playable character - Mira the Ranger, armed with bow and accompanied by her pet Falcon!
- Coins and gambling - now you can discard items you don't need for coins, which can be used in Fissir (friendly village location) to gamble for weapons, armor and trinkets
- New locations and enemies
- Journal and Quests system + new quest with unique weapon as a reward!
- Trinkets/Potions system overhaul - now healing bottles have their own slot, and trinkets have their own, no need to choose between them anymore! (+ a couple of new useful trinkets added)
- Several new achievements
- Heavy Magus overhaul - now magic is more exciting than ever!
- Quality of life features - skippable cutscenes, less "AGAIN" in tutorials, other small stuff
- Completely new Input system, rewritten from scratch, based on famous Rewired plugin! Should solve all input/joystick problems once and for all! (fingers crossed)
- SteamOS + Linux platform is finally supported as well!
- Tons of bugs fixed!
Today we're going to try doing a normal difficulty story mode playthrough in coop mode, playing as Magus and Warrior party! After that - maybe some Arena mode or smth, possibly with new playable character demonstration

Instead of stamina, he uses Manna for special moves, which restores over time (several unlockable skills can improve resoration rate). Magus fights with staffs, wands, and, of course, magic! New class is played differently than other classes, includes several unique features and mechanics, and it is recommended for veteran players. Apart from new playable class, here's some tweaks worth mentioning:
- AI from different factions may now fight each other. Player can wait till they solve their differences and then finish off the winner, or he may burst into battle. Your choice!
- Stamina rebalance - now Warrior only needs 2 stamina to perform special move, and Acrobat now need 4.
- All classes now get adrenaline for blocking as well, Warrior gets x2.
- All elemental effects (fire, lightning, poison) now stronger, last longer, more effective against armor and shields
- Camera moves ~2x faster
- Falling to the chasm doesn't immediately kill you right away - now you'll get revived with a penalty to health (penalty amount depends on difficulty level)
- Boss in the mines reworked - now it's easier for easier difficulties and has his own checkpoint
- Several UI alterations and improvements
- Cheatcodes disabled on HARD difficulty
In this patch I've fixed some of the most important problems of the Arena mode.
- Healthpoints, stamina and adrenaline meter are now persistent between rounds.
- If you have a usable item - you can use it once per 3 rounds (it resets after each 3rd round).
- Also after each 3rd round one of your healthbars is restored.
- Fixed drop of items - now only usable items drop on the Arena.
- fixed a long-standing problem with items' icons - they were wrong since launch.
I'm proudly presenting new Arena mode!
It's a new game mode, accessible from the main menu, and available for both singleplayer and local coop walkthrough. Are you able to withstand 30 increasingly difficult rounds against the strongest enemies of the human Empire? Test your might!
Update also introduces 3 new Steam achievements for Arena mode (each for each difficulty).
