A new Bavaria Map has been added to the game. Bavaria is a German state full of attractions such as fairytale towns and castles, Alpine scenery and great cities like Munich. Also a few gameplay changes:
- Dragging the map has been switched to the Right Mouse Button.
- Multiple purchases of service facilities in one go.
- A few other minor improvements.

Hi players, This is the first beta release of Travel Fanz. Because I like travelling and watching travel vloggers, I wanted to make a game that caught the essence of travel and exploring real world locations. So after 1,000 hours of development I came up with Travel Fanz. I enjoyed making it so I hope you enjoy playing it. Only the one map of the Isle Of Wight in England, UK is currently available. I used this map to design the game and test it. It's also where I live so I was able to get some photos myself for the game content. I had to substitute a few photos simply because of the Covid lockdown restrictions in 2020. But I have the photo content for two more maps, one in Europe the other in a faraway land. Travel Fanz is a 2D game about Tourism and Travel.
It is a micro budget game in early access mode.
Installs are available for Windows and Linux Desktop.
The only maps currently available are the Tutorial Map and the Isle Of Wight map.
Two more maps are being designed. The plan is to add many more maps over time.
New maps will always be free. You only pay for the game once.
GAMEPLAY
- Managing Tourists and their travel experience.
- Opening Attractions, Hotels and Services.
- Sending Tourists to locations on the map.
- Exploring real world Attractions on the map.
- Gaining and spending Happy Icons.
- Buying Travel Gear for tourists.
- Managing Tourist Fatigue and Hunger.
HAPPY ICONS
Happy Icons are the currency in the game.
Earn Happy Icons by sending tourists to Attractions, Hotels and Services.
Happy Icons are used to open locations, enable Bonuses and Facilities.
The game ends when you have accumulated 100 Happy Icons.
UNHAPPY ICONS
Tourists can also gain Unhappy Icons if they get too tired and hungry.
Unhappy Icons trigger negative tourist events.
TOURIST RATING
The Tourist Rating indicates how much the Tourist is enjoying their trip.
Once the Tourist Rating reaches +100, the Tourist gains you one Happy Icon and the rating is reset to zero.
TOURIST INTERESTS
Each Tourist has their own unique set of Interests.
Tourists gain Happy Icons faster if they visit locations which offer their Interests.
TOURIST DISLIKES
Tourists also have Dislikes which can give them a negative travel experience.
MAPS
Each map represents a real world travel location for your Tourists to explore.
ATTRACTIONS
On the map you will discover many Attractions such as historical buildings, natural landscapes, wildlife, artistic and cultural sites.
HOTELS
These are locations where you send Tourists to recover from Fatigue.
SERVICES
Food Services are locations where you send Tourists to recover from Hunger.
Other Services enable Tourists to buy activities and Travel Gear.
TOURIST EVENTS
If you have gained Unhappy Icons, then Tourist Events can be triggered.
Events have a negative impact on the Tourist's experience.

The Tutorial Map can be loaded as a new game to allow you to step through the gameplay.
