Hey everyone, it's been a while, but Deep Sea Valentine finally received another update! First things first: Yes, sorry, this DOES NOT work with your existing save files. But the good news is that you can switch to the "compatibility" branch under Properties -> Betas, in case you have any unfinished business. Let me know if you run into trouble! So why did I do this? I'm glad you asked, because now it's time for good news only! All controls have been significantly improved:
Just a small update that does exactly 2 things:
This patch contains minor fixes and improvements to the gamepad controls.
Hey everyone, the new update is finally here! The biggest new features are the following:
Hey everyone!
A new update is planned for next month, finally providing the long-awaited controller support, and making the game available in two additional languages: Russian and German!
On top of that, the update will add many minor visual improvements.
For example, the characters' pixel art will reflect their height differences:
I hope you'll look forward to it!
But, as usual, updates require me to give a word of warning:
Old save files will no longer work in the updated version of the game! Please make sure you're not stuck in the middle of a route when the update comes out, or you'll have to replay it from the beginning. (Unless you've already unlocked its shortcut.)
Thank you for your continued support!
Now that it's been a month since the big update, I'd love to know how you feel about it!
I read every single review, so don't hesitate to leave a review to share your thoughts - it helps me out a lot and I will take your feedback into account both regarding Deep Sea Valentine and future projects!
Additionally, if you're stuck or ran into a bug, feel free to post it in the forum or contact me directly: support@kigyodev.com
I'll get back to you as soon as possible!
Thank you for playing Deep Sea Valentine!
It's here, finally! And it's a big one!
Thank you so much for your patience, everyone! As promised, the new update contains the following:
Hey everyone! I'm happy to announce that the next update will be ready soon. Here's what's coming your way:
The new update is here!
Without further ado, let's jump into the patch notes. Here's what was added/changed:
Hey everyone, it's been a while!
I wanted to let you know that update 1.4 is in the works. I did a little something to the game's graphics. From this screenshot, can you spot what's different from version 1.3?
If you want to confirm your guess, you can read my full announcement here!
It outlines all the visual changes, and also reveals a new preference slider I'll be adding.
Aside from that, the developer of Deep Sea Valentine's engine is working hard on improving the framerate, but as of now there is no precise ETA on that. There's a good chance it'll be part of the next update, but maybe it'll have to wait until version 1.5. Thank you for your patience!
In either case: The next update should be out in around three weeks. I hope you'll like it!
Also, I want to warn you ahead of time that the update will break the backwards compatibility of save files. If you're almost done with a route, make sure you finish it by then!
This update fixes touch events once and for all. Namely, it is now impossible to "run over" an event, no matter what computer you're using. Use the shift key with no worries! I'm also happy to announce that the developer of the Pink Engine (the RPG framework Deep Sea Valentine uses) is completely revamping the rendering system. Their goal is to release the next update at the end of March, and I will try my best to implement those changes as soon as they're out. This should make the game run much smoother on all computers, so please look forward to it! I'm also pretty sure that the next update (1.4) will break the compatibility of old save files, so please plan your playthroughs accordingly. Thank you for your support and patience!
This fix takes care of two issues:
